On a Saturday morning, I needed to find a dry cleaner who could turn around dry cleaning for Monday night--no luck in my Lincoln Park neighborhood. I started googling and connected with Maria at Pressed. My savior!! She sent a driver to my house Sunday to pick up my items (jacket, blazer, sweater dress, jump suit, and three dresses). Maria was extremely communicative even asking if I wanted business cards back in my blazer, removed pilling on the jacket, and repairing a small hole on the sweater dress. When the clothes came back to me exactly 24 hours later as promised, I was pleasantly surprised and one happy customer. Prices were comparable to my neighborhood shop if not a few dollars cheaper. Thanks to some laundry issues in our building, we were Pressed customers for many months, and they are definitely convenient and easy to use. Still, over the time we used them we had quite a few issues: items and deliveries occasionally went awry; some shirts were ruined by a machine mishap; and, the final straw, we discovered that they'd lost or ignored some of our delicate-care instructions, shrinking and stretching some more items. They usually did their best to fix their mistakes, but dealing with them added an extra layer of hassle which detracted from the convenience we were paying for. We've since switched to another laundry service, a little less convenient but (so far) more reliable, and we breathe a little easier on laundry day. read more

I have never used Pressed, but my five star review is for the simple fact that my husband now "manages" our dry cleaning. After a Loop cleaner ruined our $350 duvet cover, we started looking for a new cleaner. I was starting a new job, so I tasked my husband with finding one that he approved of. Enter Pressed Garments... You book pick ups online, they pick up in your lobby, priced are affordable, and they do a damn good job. Most importantly, I no longer walk around with bags of clothes, get asked where certain shirts are, have to listen to complaints about collars and starch- my husband does it all and doesn't complain. As a first time customer I expected them to put their best foot forward. Unfortunately they did not. My pickup window was TU 6-11. A 5 hour window. I stayed up to 11 and waited. No call, no alert they were late, no ability to fit inside a 5 HOUR WINDOW. No thank you. An agent actually arrived and texted me at 12:11am. Yes, after midnight. I've been using Pressed Garments for close to a year now. While I've had a few issues from time to time with them, their customer service has always stepped above and beyond what I've experienced at any other location. Most recently, I emailed them after a few of my shirts were returned not pressed. I was called within 24 hours from a manager who explained that typically, I had been actually placing my pressed clothing in the wrong bag pressed provides since I had started using the service and it only had been the delivery person correcting my order each time that had prevented my mistake from happening in the future. Still, the manager arranged for a same day pick up of my non pressed shirts and credited my account to have them pressed and delivered prior to my upcoming business trip. This is a level of service I don't even expect from almost any other service I use. Bottom line, I think it's inevitable that the best run businesses still have a few issues from time to time... but I think pressed management and staff do more than any other I've seen to correct each incident. I don't think you'll find another dry cleaner that will match the quality of service as well as responsiveness of customer service complaints anywhere. How much more convenient could it get from door to door service and immediate and effective customer service management when the inevitable issue arises (although there likely will be few with them)? I have been a customer for a couple years now and they are amazing. Pricing is fine, just a little higher than your corner dry cleaners but not much, and the value add of drop off and delivery is WELL worth it. All of the delivery folks are amazing, and if you can't make it home in time for your appt they work to fit you in or just bump you to the next day, no harm no foul. LIFE CHANGER. I was doing some spring cleaning the other week...duvet covers, bedskirts, area rugs, wool blankets all needed to be refreshed. I do not have a car. I did not want to walk to the dry cleaner with all my stuff. I did not want to take a taxi four blocks with all my stuff. And I couldn't find my Zipcar Card and even if I had, I didn't want to go get the car and then come back, etc. etc. So I went on Yelp and looked for dry cleaners that pick up and deliver. And I found Pressed. What was amazing is that it was around lunchtime on a Tuesday when I signed up and THEY WERE ABLE TO COME THAT NIGHT between 7 and 8. They came at exactly 8 and picked up all my stuff. Then, on Thursday, THEY BROUGHT IT ALL BACK. Again between 7 and 8 pm. They arrived shortly before 8 pm. Prices are reasonable (and I kinda hate to say it but almost too reasonable for the convenience they provide) AND I LOVE THEM FOREVER. The only thing that would be more awesome is if there was an APP to place my order and then similar to Uber, I could see where the delivery van was. And similar to Peapod, they could send me a text that says "You're next" when I'm the next person. (Can you tell I live by my phone??) read more

I saw their vehicle passing by, looked them up online, and was super impressed. $2 to clean my dress shirts was $2 cheaper than 2 dry cleaners I know of on North Ave. What a great deal, plus they come pick up the clothes for me after 5pm.... that is awesome. Our go to for dry cleaning! Seriously, HIGHLY RECOMMEND. They have great prices, quick turn around, ARE amazingly convenient, and their customer service is superb! You simply book a pick up/drop off online (plenty of options!), they provide you with a garment bag, and can leave with your doorman (we even bought a hook for over our door just for them). My fiance's work shirts, dress, his tux, really everything, look great every time we get them back. There was even a mix up when I couldn't make it back in time for a drop off, and without a doorman, the man dropping off was wonderfully accommodating, rescheduled and I couldn't have been more appreciative. read more

LOVE THESE GUYS!!! I don't' care so much for the dry cleaner in my building. Rude and seems like they can't be bothered with the tenants of the building. I'm so glad I found Pressed Garments. Very easy to schedule a pick up and several options. Plus you don't have to schedule way far in advance. I typically schedule them to pick up my clothes (from my door guy) any time during the day and have them back on Sunday. You can choose to have them pick up/drop off with your door guy or you can specify a time for them to come directly to you. Most recently I sent a white coat to them. It had stains on it that other cleaners couldn't get it. It came back looking better than it ever has! Plus, they didn't even charge me to fix a button that had come off. If you email them a question or need something, they email you back almost immediately. Amazing customer service! Forget using your local dry cleaner. Use these guys!! I'd give them 10 stars if I could. Their prices are cheaper than the cleaner in my building and the few I've checked out close to my building. All their prices are on their website. First time with Pressed Garments and I'm imPressed. (Revel in the pun please). I scheduled a light load of dry cleaning for Thursday pickup and Saturday morning drop off. Both the pickup and drop off were within the time slot, right smack dab in the middle actually. Within my laundry was my new favorite white suit jacket that got one of those dark dirt stains that I was sure wouldn't come out all the way, but they got it! Wooooooo! They even fixed a button I forgot to mention was missing from the other jacket. The price is super reasonable for the amenities they offer. Pick up, drop off, online orders and their hours are not when us nine-to-fivers are at the office. Too good. Revolutionary. I can't believe how convenient this service is. I've used their pick-up/drop-off services twice now. They're on-time, affordable, and do excellent work. I get so excited when it's my drop-off day...sadly! But how much better does it get? They literally just call you when they've arrived and the exchanges take 2 seconds. The clothes always arrive neatly and in perfect condition, too. I can't say enough good things about Pressed. The funny thing is, if you ever actually try to find the business' physical location, you won't be able to, unless you already know where it is. I used Pressed Garments for the first time and having used many dry cleaners before I can recommend them with 100% confidence and I have NEVER done this not once. Benny the manager is great, diligent and went above and beyond in servicing me. The drivers are all courteous and on time. You get a text message 10 minutes before they arrive and every pick up and delivery was in the scheduled time frame. Every garment was meticulously cared for and packaged perfectly. I have to walk down 3 1/2 flights of stairs and go outside of my building to get to my laundry room. My utter disdain for doing my laundry led me to accumulate piles of dirty clothes and bedding. As I searched for laundry pick-up services, I found Pressed. Laundry could not get any easier than having them pick up your things at your door and bringing them back within 2 days. They will also take your dry-cleaning and return it cleaned and on hangers. My first order came to $80, but that was for two completely full giant laundry bags, including all of my bedding. I have since gotten just under one bag cleaned and it has always been around $35. The drivers always arrive within the time slot that you choose. And they refuse tips! I always try to give them a $5 because they have to walk so far to get up to my apartment and they always politely say "no thank-you". You now have no excuse for the excessive build up of dirty laundry. Pressed will pick it up and return it washed, folded and smelling fresh before you will even notice it is missing. read more

If you don't have time to read this full review just trust me when I say DryV is a better deal, experience and service. I don't see this place being around for long if they continue to operate as they are. I absolutely would NOT recommend this company. I NEVER write reviews and as someone who worked in retail, I'd also never freely give negative reviews. The customer service is nonexistent here. Specifically, the man who seems to be the manager is ignorant about your goods, passively aggressive and extremely condescending. My bill was twice the price it should have been so I called because they decided to go back on their word and not use my promotion code. While talking to him, I kindly asked why they dry cleaned every single item when I left a note saying please just dry clean (a specific) blouse. I was overly kind. He spoke over me the entire time and basically said in response "ha! If we had time to go through everyone's personal notes... We don't do that here so we dry cleaned everything" (which jacks up the price!) Then they delivered it to my condo doorman, didn't even bring it up to my unit, without a garment bag!!! I don't see them being around long. Very grateful to have DryV as my dry cleaning option for a budget friendly and positive experience. read more

They will pick-up and deliver your dry cleaning, and -- only after your items have been returned -- will they charge you for their services. Overall, Pressed Garments is really inexpensive for the level of service they provide. Prices are affordable and transparent; you can find an itemized price list on their website. Also, I have found Pressed Garments to be cheaper than nearby competition -- for example, $15 to dry clean a long coat versus $20 at DRYV -- but the quality of cleaning does not suffer. In fact, I have been beyond pleased with my clothes after Pressed Garments cleaned them! For me, dry cleaning my winter coats and my boyfriend's customized suits will never be the same -- in a good way! I've never been so excited about a chore in my life. If I had one critique, though, it would be that the driver isn't always on time. For my most recent order, the driver arrived 20 minutes after the scheduled hour-long time slot and only informed me that she would be arriving later than planned AFTER she was already late. =/ read more

I have been using the service for about four months now and let me share with you why you should use them, too.... 1. FREE PICK-UP/DELIVERY! You can create an online profile and log in anytime to schedule your next pick-up and delivery. So easy! 2. PRICES! My neighborhood cleaner was charging me about $7.95/piece here in the West Loop. Most pieces are priced at $3 which is less than HALF what I was paying! 3. BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Scenario #1: During one of my first times using Pressed Garments, I contacted them about a coat that didn't come back quite as clean as I'd hoped. They redid it the next day for free with no questions asked. It was pristine. Scenario #2: Tonight I completely forgot about my scheduled pick-up. The driver came by my building and I was not home yet from work. The door person let me know when I got home and Tony (from Pressed Garments) sent me a text to ask if I wanted him to swing by again tonight or tomorrow morning - whichever is most convenient for me. 4. REMINDERS! Are you forgetful like me? Pressed Garments sends you e-mail reminders the day of your scheduled pick-ups and deliveries. Pressed ruined a brand new shirt by scorching the collar. It was worn once, dry cleaned by Pressed, and was returned damaged. When the issue was raised they took it back and when it was returned they had added new damage by scorching a button imprint through the back of the shirt. They made no acknowledgement of having done any damage. While I understand that Dry Cleaners are just not known for their customer empathy, I did not appreciate their avoidance of acknowledging they had done anything wrong. I would not recommend using Pressed for any expensive or important clothing. If you don't mind occasional damage they are fine and the pick up and drop off service is convenient. read more

I have been using Pressed for over a year now and it's been a life & time saver. It's given me more hours to complete my other errands and makes me so happy when the clothes are returned cleaned and folded to a "T". Gone are the days of having to fight my neighbors for shared washing machines and dryers - I also live in a 3 story walk up and the delivery persons are always very great with bringing the delivery up! A recent experience left me in awe of how quickly they can be flexible with drop offs as well: I had recently scheduled a drop off at my home and had forgotten about a dinner party later that evening so I emailed first thing in the morning and they delivered my laundry to my office at work! It was perfect as I needed the items the very next day and they made that possible! I sent six suits to be cleaned and they came back perfectly - one even had a stain that the got out. I broke my leg just before the pandemic started, so during the stay at home order, we really needed to have our laundry sent out. Being a regular dry cleaning customer of Pressed Garments, we called upon them. Our order was picked up and delivered on time, and was beautifully done. The order was returned in a huge blue bag and was wrapped in plastic. Everything was sorted and folded so neatly. I requested them not to fold my socks, so they were contained in a separate bag, as were towels and a rug. Also as requested, non- fragrance and sensitive skin detergent were used. We were elated how easy, reasonable, and well done this experience was. On our second order, I made a mistake scheduling the return date, so my order was scheduled to return one week later than I wanted it. I emailed Benjamin, who called me immediately to tell me my error, and he graciously said they would do it as soon as possible, which they did. He is so conscientious, kind, and accommodating. Let's be real for a minute. Laundry is one of life's greatest inconveniences. The dry cleaner on the corner is never open when I'm able to drop off or pick up my clothes. I don't have an in-unit washer/dryer so I'm forced to hoard my dirty laundry for weeks until I decide I have enough time to lug it down three flights of stairs and drop it off at the laundromat to be washed and dried. Pressed Garments is a online drop-off/pick-up laundry service. You simply log into the site, pick the time you want them to come pick up your clothes and when you want them dropped off. Boom. Done. Easy. The online-ness of Pressed Garments rocks. Yes, I know that's probably not a real word, but what is very real is how awesome it is to log into my Pressed Garments account online at any time of day or night (not just when they're open) and place my order. No need to try dealing with calling a service when they're open. No need to deal with talking to someone when you're just not in the mood to chat. The fact that Pressed Garments does both dry cleaning AND wash and fold is pretty great, too. As you know by now, I'm woefully lacking in the laundry department in my apartment, so getting everything done in one shot is hugely convenient. What's also impressive is the professionality and courteousness of the employees. On the evening of my pickup (yes, they do evening delivery), the driver was right on time. He easily found my apartment (thanks to my notes on my account on how to get back to my bat cave apartment), was super polite and answered all of my questions. Even better was my drop off. He showed up within 10 minutes of my delivery window during a freaking blizzard. That's commitment! I know I'm rambling, but also cool is there are no delivery fees and the drivers do not accept tips. No hidden fees here! I'm kind of in love with Pressed Garments. DON'T USE THIS SERVICE. Used this service for over a year during the pandemic, initially with great results. Lately, their service has become less reliable -- promised pickup and delivery times changing without warning or notification, order showing up late, and so on. Now, the final straw: On March 1st, they picked up an order with 2 pieces of dry cleaning and 8 shirts for laundry. Initially promised to return them on March 3, but the delivery date changed unannounced to March 7. On March 7, I got back the 2 pieces of dry cleaning, but none of the shirts. They even charged me a surcharge since the two items didn't satisfy their minimum of $20. I contacted them promptly, and they said they were looking for the shirts. Several more contacts, and they said they were still looking but would send me a claim form. No further contact from them... At this point, they will not even respond to calls and inquiries via text, email, or voice. Use this service at your own risk. read more

This place has been a total lifesaver. After moving from NY, the one major pain has been lugging my dry cleaning around town. I got a coupon for Pressed about 6 months ago and all my problems were solved. They pick up and drop off from my doorman and have been so detail oriented with all of my clothes. One time, when they couldn't get out some pretty bad stains on a winter coat, they didn't charge me.
