The worst buying experience I have ever had! In the Fall of 2019, my brother and I purchased vehicles from Prestige (Audi Q5 and Honda Accord). My brother's vehicle had previous collision damage Prestige didn't disclose: holes in the frame, broken side mirror, cracked tail light, and body damage. Prestige gave such a hard time repairing the damage. I spend the first three months in and out of rentals because of the same light presenting on the dash (hybrid drive system fault). They did NOT take the issue seriously until I brought the vehicle directly to the Audi dealership for a diagnostic (they refused to refund me for the diagnostic cost but needed the report to make the repairs). Turns out it needed the timing chain replacement and a handful of other issues. Not to mention I broke down on the highway a few days after the car was returned to me due to all the coolant leaking out because a bracket was installed incorrectly. One year later coolant and oil leaks. 1.5 years later a known issue in the car's motor caused catastrophic engine failure! NEVER AGAIN! Thanks for the lemon! read more

Not only have I purchased two vehicles from Ken and Prestige Auto since 2018, (smooth deals, quick approvals with huge amounts of cash down), I have also referred several other family members there to buy cars, which included my niece who just recently purchased a vehicle last year. I myself just purchased a 2015 Mercedes Benz CLA250. During the test drive of the vehicle, there were a couple of things on the vehicle that I noticed right away to be major issues and explained my concerns to Daly (my sales person) right away. We agreed that any mechanical issues would be addressed and fixed before the contract was finalized and/or final purchase of the car was completed! Sunroof track needed to be replaced. Sunroof will not open, but will also not close completely, which can lead to electrical issues from water leakage!!Blind spot assist sensors are not reading and stating "Inoperable". Breaks and rotors are unsafe and shaking very noticeably! I have reached out to Daly via phone and text. I was directed all over the place with no answers! They have made promise after promise to fix the vehicle. I finally spoke to Ken who in turn got me an appointment to bring the vehicle in for "Supposed" repairs! He also promised that everything would be taken care of immediately and that I would be made priority! I dropped my car off to the New Britain location. I proceeded to take an Uber home, as I was promised my car back by the end of the next business day! They called me on the end of day 3 of having my vehicle stating that the car would be sent back from Mercedes and could not be fixed. ??? Puzzled. Needless to say, I am now taking the vehicle to be serviced properly at The European Car in Canton! DO NOT BUY HERE! BAD BUSINESS! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! My Lawyer will be in touch!!!! read more

I purchased a 2014 Nissan Frontier on December 13. I asked about a red flag that showed up on Carfax about an emission problem and was assured that it was corrected. Before I was able to register the truck the "check engine " light came o. my mechanic ran a test which diagnosed the problem as a bad catalytic converte. After repeated calls to Ryan and message for Ken I still haven't heard back. I cannot recommend this business!!! My next recourse will be to contact the Department of Consumer Protection. read more

Bad communication all around between the receptionist, business development coordinator and the sales staff. Can't understand how that could even happen either considering their desks are right next to each other in the Waterbury office. My sister and brother both bought vehicles with extended warranties from them almost at the same time and they have been having trouble with the cars shortly after. The "stealership" won't even properly fix the issues with the vehicles and when my siblings brought the cars to them to be serviced they have every excuse in the book why the service timers so lengthy. I cannot help but give Prestige 5 stars for treating us honestly and fairly and with respect. Ultimately we did not buy a car from Prestige, which is why I wish to applaud them. After a Thursday evening test drive we returned Saturday morning completely prepared to purchase a vehicle. With paperwork underway, Mike filled the gas tank and brought the vehicle around. En route, he noticed a potential transmission issue and all but refused to let us take it from their lot until their mechanic could look at it. Neither my wife nor I noticed any issues when we test drove the car days prior. For speaking up and doing right by us when he could have kept silent and secured a sure sale, an overly positive review is fitting. Granted, we too felt the "buy it or not, we don't care" attitude as others have made note. We didn't feel pressured to buy, but then again we didn't necessarily feel they wanted our business. The prices on the vehicles we tested were fair. We scoured craigslist, auto trader, kelleybluebook and cars.com before visiting Prestige and their prices were, indeed, lower than elsewhere considering year, mileage, condition, etc. In our experience, in complete contrast to other reviews, these folks do not only care about money. As of the writing of this review, I do not know if our potential purchase had major or minuscule transmission issues. I do know that Mike was looking out for our best interests by not making potential problems our problems. Don't infer their inventory may be mechanically unsound given our experience. I recently was in a car accident and confided in my car dealership about the situation and went to them to get my car repaired . But the whole time throughout the process they were just being really sketchy and we're trying to have me lie about things that weren't true. I just find them really rude and unprofessional. They tried to have me lie about when the car accident happened and how the accident happened. But also wanted me to lie and say I got my car towed to them so they can charge my insurance a tow fee. Also I was so excited when I first got the car that I wasn't to mad but there were no air caps or tire locks and also there was two tears on the actual tires themselves. Also the whole time my car was being repaired they kept giving me the run around and not trying to give me any updates or information on my car. So when I finally got a hold of my insurance and we called the dealership they then finally gave me and update but the owner was still being very rude. So when I actually picked up my car they tried to continue saying my car would not be ready. So when I started to get frustrated with them because they called me saying that my car was ready. The owner then told me he was just joking and that my car was all set and I should lighten up and I'm to young to be so stressed out. Which made me return owner know as Anthony is VERY rude and will try to make you seem like the problem! Also Marquise Jones may seem really nice, helpful, and professional but it's all an act. He is also rude and will talk behind your back with the owner to make it look like your crazy or the problem. I will definitely not be going back there due how rude, unprofessional and manipulative they were being. Especially since they wanted me to lie about a serious situation I could have gotten in trouble for. I would NEVER recommend anyone to go there or to trust the how nice and helpful they may seem because it's all an act!! For your own piece of mind don't even bother going there and if you do I would be very very cautious. DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE! I purchased a car here on 10/26/2019 and the day I signed the loan I couldn't take it home because supposedly the guy cleaning it broke a wire under the hood. 3 days later I drive it down the street and it went into low power mode. Since then its happened to many times to count. It's been towed back 3 times and they tell me it's fixed but soon later I'm on the stuck on the side of the road. The State mandates a 3 month warranty but they said it doesn't cover this vehicle( It covers ALL vehicles). They said I should of purchased an extended warranty but the problem was existing so I would be their problem anyway. Finally they said "they tried to fix it, they can't figure it out and it's my problem" So after spending over $8000 I'm stuck with a car I can't drive. They are great until there's a problem then they ignore your calls and make excuses. I filed a complaint with DMV, BBB and Channel 30. Just fix the car you sold me! read more

True story: I started off yesterday morning with my vehicles exhaust detached. I pulled it to the side of the road and went to Prestige auto in Waterbury ct. I was given a good deal on the table but foolishly thought their may be a better deal somewhere else. That somewhere else was Mid state auto in water town ct. I was there from 11:30 till about 7 pm in hopes I would find a decent vehicle with three hundred dollar car payments and 1000 down. That's not what happened. They tried to have me sign my financial agreement of 540 dollars a month and a 17 percent finance percentage. I looked like Meduca and spun my head and said Do you want me to get a divorce. I have three children. How will I ethically pay those payments. So as angry as I was I called kalvin by accident and he could hear my distress. He said he threw out my paperwork because I lost interest in them but he would be in the am and we could start the paperwork again. Sure enough I went there and was in at 11 am out by 1:11 with 300 hundred dollar car payments and 11 percent interest rate. We laughed at each other. I thought kelvin was just another sales men trying to take advantage and he just thought I was a nice person to sell this car too.
