the only gripe that I have is my front plate gets mangled every time I go through. a few months ago,I had to order a new license plate because the dryers knocked it off. my mechanic put the new plate on with a new frame to secure it. last week, the frame broke and one of the screws are missing. the plate itself always gets mangled and I straighten it every time it goes through. I have even asked to deactivate the drying cycle when I go through and they said that they cant. I do have a monthly membership for the past year and a half, and unless this can get resolved, I'm cancelling it. My car is in the shop for routine maintenance today so Im going to buy a new frame and have my mechanic secure it for me. This is crazy read more

Rushed through the service line after being cut by two cars. I used cash, but they tried to convince me to use a credit card so I could be part of a monthly program. Never got waived in to the car wash followed by getting screamed at and hands thrown up at me for, not being able to follow crazy directions to try to get my tire into the track. The person who cannot communicate in English, then stuck a sign of my face saying put car in neutral while shaking his head. Car is still dirty after disappointing car wash. They never spray your car down and they don't provide towels afterwards. Go to Woburn, or any other local car wash in the future. read more

First the quality of the service is not as good as the family car wash they bought out. The free vacuums everywhere cause traffic jams. The one on Middlesex Avenue, Medford ma was much easier to get in and out of when it was Randy's. Now you have to drive down the street and find a place to wipe down your car. Randy's would have 2 attendants hand was the back of your vehicle before it would go in, not Prestige. I hate the aggressive upsell they they try on you. When you tell them "I only want 1 plain wash ", they keep trying. Also what's this "we don't take cash ", until you tell them 5 times and then they well on this time. I got a car wash here, and it left a weird gross film all over my car. It was sticky, and even smelled bad. I had to go and get a wash right after somewhere else. I called the company, and they said they would refund me for the wash, but I never saw a penny. I contacted them again several times, and they just ignored me completely. It's a shame because the previous car wash that was there was wonderful, and I used to go all the time. Not anymore. Avoid this place. The former "Salem Car Wash" was bought out sometime in 2020 by "Prestige", a Boston metro area car wash chain and was renamed Prestige. Reviews here dated before 2020 are for "Salem Car Wash". I went through the self-service automated service the other day and it was fine and used the vacuums myself to clean inside my car. They were giving away free car washes on that day. read more

This place is unattended. Just wasted $8.00 in quarters and accomplished nothing. Vacuum does not work very well. Fragrance feature did not work. Soaped up the car and rinsed it off with the high pressure hose. (You get 1 star for that). Foaming brush did not work at all. And it made my car dirtier than it was. I will not come back. At first i didn't mind coming here wasnt the best place to get a car wash but I liked the fact the vaccums were free. Every time Ibe been they do not help direct you into the car wash. Several times my tires bumeped into the rails that lock your tire in the system that's when then they finally start to wave you in... Definitely not a $20 car wash. They never used the high-pressure sprayer on the front of my car so all the bugs that were there before I dropped $20 are still there now. And as you exit, they tell you that for best results you should towel dry your car. I don't carry towels in my car so that would have been good information before I paid my $20. All in all, the world isn't going to implode because of the crappy car wash I got today, but the previous car wash in that location was better. read more

I'm rather speechless after today's visit...I have been here more than 10 times and while it is not the best service, I have never felt compelled to give feedback...until today. I arrived today and was immediately chastised for not waiting to be waved forward...never in the last several years did I encounter this instruction or this reprimand. It Then escalated to Where he yelled in the presence of my toddler into the car while shaking his head and muttering "You don't listen! Put in neutral, you don't know what you are doing or talking about...You don't listen!" I responded by asking him to not speak to me this way and that I would like him to be respectful as my daughter was now growing tearful...I showed him my dashboard reading neutral and asked for his help identifying the problem...he continued yelling and muttering with a disgusted face and fixed the track several times...at which point my car began moving and the wash began...what was a small trip on the way home turned into quite an upset. They come close to being a great car wash but fall short at every step. Recently renovated it looks better. Cars are rushed to quickly through the tunnel, hardly any soap to get the bird poop off, and still dripping wet. I also hand wash one of our cars and use the bays, they are fine, big, new, clean but The rinse leaves a whiteish film on the plastics, glass and body, would prefer clear h2o to rinse. I purchased a livingsocial.com deal for a car detailing package. It included interior vacuuming, wheel/tire cleaning, cleaning all the dashes, doors, windows, and waxing. I'm sure there were other things I'm missing too. I made an appointment for a Friday morning and dropped my car off at 8am. The owner, Mark, was very friendly. They told me it would be ready by noon and it was ready by 11am. When I picked it up I was amazed. They did an awesome job. Every nook and cranny was cleaned spotless. Inside the cup holder, every spot of the carpet, EVERYWHERE was cleaned. I don't think it was even that clean the day I bought it! It was worth every penny and I can't wait to go back. read more

Car wash brush always seems to fail to dispense soap, vacuums are often clogged and they run out of car products from the vending machines as well ! Trash bins are usually filled to the top and it's usually hard to find an attendant to help service anything. I'm really not sure what happened to this place over the last 15-20 years, but I have some ideas (the owner). It used to be a decent car wash, and I prefer touch-less. At one point in time, the touch-less tunnel had decent equipment and did a good wash, at a somewhat expensive price but it seemed justified. Over the years this car wash has fallen into disrepair, and the prices have only increased. It seems like some of the equipment that once worked in the tunnel no longer does. The owner is cranky. I don't think the person who owns this place sees the big picture. There used to be a long line of cars on a warm summer morning, but there never is now. While I prefer touch-less, after my trip today to Salem Car Wash ($22) I've come to the conclusion that the very well maintained (not touch-free) alternative in a different part of Salem is a much better car wash (and I have absolutely no connection). read more

I took advantage of a special offer from the Salem Car Wash for an interior clean and wax and ended up upgrading with interior shampooing as well. I was near speechless when I picked up my car. The outside glistened, the tires shined, and scratches were buffed away. The interior is another miracle. My car was a summer full of sand, spills, water stains on the seats, and more. Like the other reviewer said, I don't think my car even looked as good when I first purchased it. The service was above and beyond, timely, and great. What a rip-off this dump is. They have drive-in do-it-yourself washes allegedly for 3.00 in change. First off, the change machines weren't working. Finally I got change, put in my $3 of quarters and it didn't work. It was busted! With no sign of "out of order." Obviously they want you to get had, and then get in a long line for a car wash you pay more for, with detail. I used to come here and it was great. Now, I can see just a waste of time and money to get you to spend more. Total swindlers. No attendants around for a refund either. This was the absolute worst car was I've had and the service was no better. After spending 20 dollars for the premium car wash my car was streaked with soap. When I went back to address this I was told it was because I didn't have it hand dried by the 2 men who were at the exit. These men did not wear any type of clothing that identified them as being employees. It is understood that you tip them for this additional service which after paying for the car wash should not be necessary. It's a racket and the guy in charge was pretty rude. Then when they were cleaning it, they realized I had driven through paint and the owner of the place came out and helped me find a clay that would remove it. great prices, great service. I took my car for a full interior cleaning and shampooing earlier this week. While my expectations were high, the Salem Car Wash crew exceeded them completely. They took the time to do a pre-and post walkthrough and they even removed some stickers that I wanted to get rid off, although that was not even part of the package. The interior looks even better than when I first purchased it six years ago and they even took the time to clean every single cup holder, storage area and more. This car wash is great except for one item. The guys who hand dry the car after the wash use dirty towels and they leave streaks on windows and entire car! I have to wipe the car again when I get home to get rid of the dirty streaks. I have the 29.00 per month unlimited car washes and I love it except for the towels. They need to change them more often. I bet the owner who seems like a great guy doesn't know this. read more
