The convenience factor drew me in at first. The staff is nice when you walk in.....but when it's time to pick up your items....REALITY HITS. I walked out today with an $80 cleaning bill. The most expensive cleaning bill in the last 5 years since moving to AZ. I will gladly drive down the street to another service provider who (A) is friendly when I show up, (B) provides a quality service with- pickup available 24 hours after drop off....for HALF THE PRICE. By the way, the text for $5 off my next visit before I could even get to my car was a great touch......NOT. I am so sick of people stealing from me and that's what prestige cleaners does. $40-60 for a suit, $12.50 for a short sleeve linen casual shirt, there prices are stupid. I called Debbie, no call back. So even though I've been a customer over 25 years, she's too good to call me back to explain why her prices are so stupid. I think I'm gonna sit outside her business with a big sign showing price comparisons, nobody would do there business there if they understood they were almost 2-3x many excellent competitors. Based on pricing alone we feel this place charges more than I certainly am willing to pay. That being said if you are into organic cleaning, having your items available in a locker after hours etc. maybe this is the place for you. When I went in to inquire as to pricing on some standard pieces they really could not rell me what anything cost without saying "well it depends on..." the material, the number of and type of buttons and cloures, how much starch you want, and on and on... So basically it is like buying a stripped down car and everything is extra... Not for me. If we bring is man's shirt to be laundered we want to to know it will cost $X, not $X +, +, +! read more

Or, maybe I should've listened to my boyfriend when he told me to ask at Prestige how much each item would be for dry cleaning. Of course, I didn't... and for that I was punished when I received the bill. $16 to dry clean a Banana Republic dress that probably cost me $50 to purchase. That's ridiculous! Ready for more insanity? 1 shirt/blouse - $14.10 (it had beads on it but still!) 1 dress (another sundress) - $18.40 1 pair of capri pants - $9.10 1cotton blouse - $8.10 Total damage - $65.70 Yes, I am extremely embarrassed that I wasted so much $$ on dry cleaning that I could've had done at the $1.99 cleaners instead! I would have saved $55.70! That is a lot of money! Needless to say, I will not be back to Prestige unless I go to pick up Jared's shirts there. I guess that's the only decently priced item. As we all know.... employees come and go... but when The President of a Company cares enough about a distraught mother of a 17 year old daughter that needs her suits at 6 am the next morning and mom forget to get them, drives 45 minutes to meet mom and get her those suits... THAT is OUTSTANDING service. Above and beyond. 99 percent of people would have ignored my messages and emails. She called me back and offered to meet me at the store at 9:30 pm...so I would have these suits for my daughter in the morning!!!! I cannot say enough about this amazing example of how to run a business and be a great example for employees and customers. I have been using this cleaner out of habit for several years. Why you ask? The people are friendly and pretty efficient for starters. They are the close to my home and right on my way to work. They are open at 7:00 am and close at 6:00 pm and open Saturday. If you bring your stuff in the morning you can pick it up at 5:00. How much can you really say about a dry cleaner? I bring it in dirty and get it back clean. They dont lose my stuff and are pretty reasonable or so I have been told. I'm pretty lazy in the errand department and will pay more for convenience. They told me that I am given a 20% discount for being a regular and I didn't even ask. Of course they could be blowing smoke up my wazoo too. I did stray to the Gainey Village cleaners a couple of years ago when they offered discounts to Village Health Club members but they kept forgetting to give me the discount, promised it would show up on the next bill and then kept forgetting to give me credit when I asked. After the third time I went back to Prestige. I hate being screwed. If you try the place tell them you want a 20% discount too. read more

$35 for 2 shirts, 2 pants and 1 sweater? Wow! Short of getting a description on my receipt that my sweater was from Brooks Brothers (which I already knew) I'm not sure why it cost more than double what I would normally have paid back in Chicago. At these prices you would think that "heavy starch" was a no brainier, but they got that wrong (as the receipt showed) and gave me "light starch". I just moved here as a seasonal resident and decided to divide my dry cleaning into four equal piles and test out four cleaners less than minutes a way from each other. I'm not surprised that the other three all did a fine job at half the price....and I got heavy starch!! read more

I've been a customer for over 10 years and I had a pair of pants ruined by them and they tried to blame it on me was the final straw. Two weeks ago I brought in five shirts, three to be washed and two to be cleaned. To make a long story short they ended up washing one of the shirts that was supposed to be dry cleaned and shrunk the shirt one full size. To add insult to injury the color of the shirt has changed from white to beige. I asked for my money for the shirt--after all it was relatively new and I could no longer wear it--and they told me they could stretch the shirt back to its normal size. This sound odd to me and didn't address the color problem but I let them try. Their efforts accomplished nothing. Again, I told them I would like my money back and they said they would have to take it up with "corporate". In addition, the girl behind the counter tried to suggest that she doesn't even have a record of my bringing in a beige shirt. I reminder her that I never brought in a beige shirt, I brought in a white shirt. I left the shirt with them and I have yet to hear back from these people. This experience has been a wake up call for me. Prestige is ridiculously expensive and their service is less than average. I have never brought in a shirt and had it come back stain free. A respectable business would make good on a garment they destroyed. Clearly Prestige is not a respectable business. If I don't receive the money I paid for the shirt I will take them to small claims court. The shirt cost one hundred and ten dollars and it will most likely cost me more than that to sue them, but there is a principle involved here and these people need to abide by it. read more
