I brought in my grandmother's wedding dress that has been balled up in a next since the 1940s and there was heavy discoloration. Joseph and his team worked a miracle and the dress turned out far better than I could have hoped! I would highly recommend them for any and all specialty and regular cleanings. I also brought in my treasured Louis Vuitton bag that had a large stain on the suede interior and I was shocked at how clean it came back (not to mention the clean on the leather worn was top notch. I bring in my $300 Japanese denim jeans to get hemmed. They measure well but when I pick them up they are too short. I try to wear them a bit but they just look silly. I finally go by and the staff agree they are too short. The owner calls and asks me to come by. I go by and he agrees they are too short and offers to lengthen them. I go to pick up the jeans and they are now the right length. The staff tries to charge me $26. When I say it was supposed to be covered by them the tailor says I am lying and that I got them originally hemmed somewhere else inferring I am pulling a scam to save $26. I ask the counter guy to look up my account. He finds the hemmed jeans on there. The tailor still insists that I'm lying. He and the staff tell me I'm being insulting because I'm not going along with it. As if accusing a customer of pulling a scam is totally OK. I leave with the jeans and the six dirty shirts I would've gotten laundered. It's too bad because I live a block away and the laundry service has always been fine. Unbelievable to be accused of pulling a scam by a laundry place that messed up my expensive clothing. So stupid. Those guys are idiots and not nice people. read more

I have been coming here for years now. No cleaners I have tried are as capable, professional, and have the best results as here! I recently had to take in my favorite reversible vegan leather and sherling jacket. The dye from the black vegan material had leaked through to the fuzzy part. First time using the dry cleaners. Went in and there were no prices anywhere. I asked for a men's suit and 4 shirts to be dry cleaned and that I needed them back for Mon. I needed them done so I didn't look at the receipt till after I left but $81 is really steep for that. $12.75 a shirt. At prices like that you really should discuss it with the customer upfront so that they can make an informed decision. I won't be back to this cleaners once I pick up my items. read more

I hate to write this review but I unfortunately had a pair of expensive brand new Madewell jeans that were $140 ruined when I got them hemmed here. I had brought in a new pair of jeans, tags on to get them hemmed. The tailor helped measure the area to be hemmed. When I came to pick them up and tried them on at home, they were bunching up at the bottom as they had not been hemmed the right amount, still too long and one pant leg was actually longer than the other. I hesitantly brought the pants to have the hem redone correctly. The tailor did seem a bit annoyed as though I was a difficult customer though I was being nice, the work just wasn't done well. She re-measured and did the work, free of charging me another time and this time upon pick up and trying on at home the jeans were too short and actually believe it or not - one pant leg still done longer than the other. I just cannot wear these jeans, they are ruined and I am out the amount I bought them for. read more

They did such good work on removing several large candle wax drippings on a thick table runner. I was doubtful it could be fixed, but they did it. I am very happy with the results. I also had some pants shortened, and was also pleased. They are a couple of parking spaces in the back. A photo of this is on their Yelp face page; the business is really more attractive from the Wilshire entrance. I will let them know they need a photo that shows off the modernized and pleasant interior. Very nice people also. read more

To respond to Joseph--I appreciate you taking the time to address the issue. I had used Prestige Cleaners for several years with no incident. Everyone is kind, and service is prompt. However, all my clothes began to come back with either a horrible chemical smell or smelling like someone else's cologne or BO. I wonder if you all began to cut corners in your cleaning process. If dry cleaned clothes are not allowed sufficient time to dry, excess solvent residue will remain and leave a strong odor. Alternatively, if clothes are rewashed in dirty solvent, they will pick up substances from other customers' clothing. I assume you all have taken on too much, and you have compromised quality at customers' expense. I go to another cleaner now and am much happier with no incidents. read more

I received a black Burberry trench coat back from dry cleaning with two visible white stains on one side of the front collar. It looks like sunscreen. There was no note explaining they were unable to remove it, so I assume it was missed. The coat also seemed faded as though the proper cleaning method was not used, but perhaps this was not the case, I can't be sure. My other clothes always have turned out very well. read more

The tailor, Jose, does an amazing job to make my clothes fit fantastically! I've brought two pairs of pants and a business shirt here and each time, he's done an incredible job. One time, the pants were still too long and he re-hemmed it no cost with no complaint. He solely wanted me to be happy. The customer service is quite nice and clothes are always ready on time. They also did a great job dry cleaning my business suit as well (eco-friendly too!). Being a typical business in Santa Monica, it is on the pricier side (hemmed pants ~$18-$26, taking in sides of shirt ~$30), but you absolutely get high quality and customer satisfaction is their strong point. I feel just terrible. Last year, I wrote a scathing review meant for PERFECT CLEANERS on Pico (near Beverly Glen) not "PRESTIGE". I have had nothing but a wonderful experience using PRESTIGE. They do excellent work time and again, including their alterations, and the employees are very nice and helpful. It's the best cleaners I've found.... and I have tried at least a half dozen different dry cleaners. I used PERFECT CLEANERS during pandemic out of necessity and it was a nightmare. When I picked up the employee said that was only for healthcare workers. I wasn't in the mood to argue so he said I'll do you a favor and give you 20% off. This review is mainly for the tailor. Though the guy at the register should have tried to make it right. He did a decent job on the shortening some jeans and taking in the waist- though the price was higher than nearby competitors. Nothing awful until I looked at my label on the interior of the pant. not crooked, but wavy- actually wavy. His response. oh it is harder there... plus nobody will see it. uh no. $400 dollar jeans that I spent another $40 on to get the perfect fit. The label better be straight. He tried to make me feel bad for wanting a straight label. This man takes zero pride in his work. When I told him that he says "you didn't pay that much. " I paid every dollar of what they asked. Should have asked for more money then, guy. Doing a shit job and asking for less money is a loser's model for business. And I frankly can't support slackers when down the street there are 50 other people prepared to do a better job with pride and effort. read more

Prestige Cleaners has been my choice for laundry service for the past couple years now. Joseph has always taken good care of me and my clothes. I've had issues with other cleaners in the past not properly being able to clean some of my normal stains on white shirts. I remember when I came to Prestige it was for a white hoodie that had a stain. I had originally taken the hoodie to another cleaners without naming them (they are a big franchise cleaner), they failed to clean my hoodie. I ended up bringing it to Prestige and they laughed that their competitors couldn't take a simple stain off a white hoodie. I came 2 days later picked up my hoodie and it looks completely brand new. Prestige does a good job with my comforters. They are thorough and will even process piece twice if the first time was not enough - and they have never charged me more. They are a bit pricier that other cleaners, but so close to my home that it's worth a slightly higher price. I do appreciate the coupons in the Val-pack! Customer service is great. They seem to have set up some sort of pop-up space somewhere else in the building. No direct path from the parking lot (which is full of their own vans), and lots of confusion all around.
