We had a wood shake shingle roof that we wanted to replace. After getting estimates it came down to three choices: A pretty standard asphalt roof, an asphalt roof with a higher, more complicated profile (presidential shingles) or a cement tile roof. Wanting to maintain the look/style of the wood shingles, we opted for the cement tile. Francisco was good about everything. He was a good communicator, he let us know what was happening along the way--we had a great deal of trouble getting the tile we wanted due to city and state regulations, but couldn't be happier with the one we ended up getting (don't try to get a dark cement tile in California--save yourself some time and choose a light one--it's better for the environment and your cooling bills :-). The work was done well and a week later they were completely finished. I appreciate that there were no gaps in working days--sometimes contractors will blame inspectors for not show up supposedly waiting for an inspector. I believe our Lakewood city inspectors were punctual and there were no delays so I think they did a good job too. All of the workers were very polite and cleaned up well every day and at the end. Everyone I spoke to at the office was also polite and helpful. Always do your homework--this was not the cheapest option, but it was the style I wanted and Prestige Roofing did an excellent job of installing it. Disclosure--I did get a discount for being referred from YELP, but read my other reviews, I would tell you if anything bad happened. I know how important trustworthy reviews are. Our house had termite damage to the fascia boards that serve as the perimeter of the house. The damage was mostly visible at the corners, and since I wanted to repaint the fascia and eves, I needed to replace wood damage first. Francisco to the Rescue! He rode up in his cool truck at 9am, just as he said he would, for an evaluation and estimate. We walked the area and agreed on a price and procedure, both knowing the full extent of termite damage cannot be seen from the outside. Our original guesstimate of the damage entailed about 50 to 60% of the wood in question. When his guys showed up and started removing the old boards, it became clear we needed more replacement ...... about 90% as it turned out. I had rake line shingles at all vertical fascia that needed to be removed and replaced, coordinated with the paint by others, and gutter removal by others. My Man Francisco was a Top Gun crew coordinator, and we interfaced the trades on a schedule, delivered and painted additional material on site, and completed all work in under two weeks. We checked with several companies before proceeding with our roof repair. Francisco Vega and Prestige had the lowest price. Better yet, Francisco immediately offered other less costly solutions to our challenges with leaks, broken tiles, and general appearance. We ended up going with one of these options. He always seemed interested in provided what we needed, not in trying to sell us on something that benefited him. This characteristic came through right away. His crew was always on time, worked nonstop, was polite when entering our home to install the solar tube, and did exceptional work. One example of Prestige's customer service: the work was completed on a Friday, but when I called Francisco to set up payment, he told me to wait until after the weekend because it was scheduled to rain. "If there are any leaks, call me and I will come out on Sunday and we will fix it." This was amazing to me, that he would postpone payment until their work was confirmed. This is an example of terrific customer service. And, of course, there were no issues. He and Sarai were terrific to work with. We really liked the sense of family that is part of Prestige. if we ever need any other roof work done, we will definitely call Francisco Vega. We couldn't be happier with the outcome. read more

Franscisco and his team were very professional, courteous and fair. He was there daily to check on and assist his team in completion of the job. They completed the tear off and installation of the new roof in 3 days and were very flexible with scheduling. The team cleaned up every day and upon completion of the job. Most derbies were removed however some small pieces of the old roof remained scattered around. The materials used were as promised and high quality for a fair price. Prestige secured the building permit with the city and talking with the city inspector after the job he commented on the good job. We had 6 companies provide estimates, Prestige Roofing was not the lowest or the highest and was sensitive to our limited income. Prestige Roofing had their business name on all their company vehicles (unlike a number of other estimates we received that made me nervous who they were) and employees had shirt/uniforms showing the business name. Francisco and his crew did an amazing job with our roof and really went above and beyond what I would expect from anyone. I had Tesla solar installed on my old clay tile roof, but Tesla will not install on that style because they break easily. In hindsight I should have chosen a different solar company but through it all Francisco came out several times to adjust the roof layout (remove tiles and put new underpayment and shingles) to meet Tesla requirements. Even after a year when it was finally installed, Prestige Roofing came back to put the tiles back in place around the panels. I also had leaky gutters which I had Prestige replace which are way nicer than the old small ones. We got quotes from different vendors for each job and Prestige was always the cheapest and they did a superb job. They came back so many times to make sure the roof was solid throughout the whole process and I never had any leaks last rain season. They went out of their way many times to make sure the roof is done right even in areas not related directly to the job. read more

I've hired Prestige Roofing three times: once to replace our roof, and twice on my mother-in-law's house for patio cover replacement, rain gutter replacement and installation. They were courteous and patient while allowing me to choose which shingles to use; they suggested an extra layer of aluminum covered plywood should cover the roof before the shingles get laid on - which I did and am now glad for the cooler house; they also replaced all the fascia board around the house with drip guard, and they repaired some termite damage too. All to our satisfaction: they cleaned up after themselves very well, but we are still finding an occasional staple now and then on the ground around the house. I love watching it rain now knowing we are protected. All work on my mother-in-law's house went the same. Be warned though, Prestige Roofing will want to get the job done.
