Cedric (the owner) is the literally the best! When I reached out about his company, he called me…read moreand we had a fantastic chat. He was very attentive and wanted to get a vibe for what the group (6 women) wanted and enjoys in life - all so HE could plan 2 amazing days at wineries in the greater Portland area. After the chat, we netted out on two full days (8 hrs each day. We survived by the way.) in June. He picked us up right at our Airbnb (Pearl) in a comfortable van with lots of room and already had the jams playing (his 90s/00s playlist is ON POINT). For the first day, we went out to the Mt. Hood area which was beyond beautiful (don't think I've ever seen a winery with a majestic mountain as a back drop). I highly recommend this route as it has more of a mom & pop feeling than other major wine areas I've visited (especially if you can do multiple days in this region). You also get a wider range of varietals vs. Willamette (not knocking W.V. AT ALL as I'm a Pinot Noir gal). Cedric completely planned the entire day and we hit up 4 different wineries and none disappointed. He also grabbed us lunch which was fantastic. The drive is beautiful along the Colombia River. Dropped off at our place in the Pearl. Day 2 (the following day) we hit up the famous Willamette Valley. We had a couple last minute requests (in terms of must-have wineries) that Cedric completely accommodated and he re-routed our day to ensure we hit the best of the best. He worked his magic and we were able to visit FIVE (!), including the last stop where we chatted with the owner/winemaker while playing bocce ball (Utopia wines). It was a fantastic day. We visited some big players like Domaine Serene (YES) and Stoller (great for a picnic lunch), but also some smaller but beautiful wineries like Colene Clemens (top of hill overlooking valley) and Vista Hills (think tree house vibes). Cedric promised a magical day and he delivered. This was by far my favorite wine tour experience and I've done a lot of them across the country/world. Cedric was the difference maker. He's a fantastic and hilarious host and truly makes the experience one to remember. His company has other drivers as well and I imagine they are of the same breed as Mr. Cedric, so no matter who you get, you won't be disappointed!!

I thought about renting an SUV or something more like a regular vehicle, but I wanted something that would stand out. Sunshine certainly delivered and with the exception of a couple minor items of note, then knocked it out of the park. I've never rented a limo before, so after looking over their website, I gave them a call for more information. The woman I spoke to was very polite and helpful even though I wasn't ready to book that day and needed an idea of the costs and features. She was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions (although I forgot to ask a couple). I needed a limo for 3 hours. It came to $381. The limo was $100/hr, but the tip for the driver is built into the price quote and based on where you are driving, gas and such is added in, too. I ended up selecting the 10 person limo for 3 people so there would be plenty of room. The limos come with glasses, water, and I believe some soda (I didn't get into the limo, but I did watch a FB livestream of them inside, so I got to see what it looked like). There was more than enough room for 3 people, but 10 would be VERY close together, in my opinion. The driver (his name was Chris) was on time and called me as he was leaving the limo business so I had a heads up to get everyone ready. He patiently waited outside, wore a nice suit, and was very professional. He was helpful on the phone when I spoke to him the day before about the plan and thanks to the livestream I saw he was polite and professional while performing his work. The limo looked clean inside and out and I was able to see the people I sent on adventures had a good time in the limo. The driver stayed close by and was ready to get them the second they popped their heads out to be taken to their next destination. The only very minor things I would say was that I forgot a couple questions after I initially called and I endes up emailing the company via their website rather than call back. I did not get a reply. Definitely call if you have questions. You will get them answered. Beyond that, I had to call the day before the event so talk to the driver -- I was told he was going to call me, but by 5pm I wasn't sure, so I called so I could get in touch with him. Beyond that, the experience was excellent! I would absolutely use Sunshine again the next time I need a limo in the Eugene area!

I stumbled upon the lights tour and talked to someone who was very helpful with information, costs, and options. Communication with the company was great from the time I made the reservation until we were picked up. Ian was our fantastic driver who picked us up on time and with chocolates . We started on the west side of Eugene in the hills, to the east, and then dropped off at the restaurant where we had dinner reservations. Ian made several stops to take pics of us and drove thru many neighborhoods with beautiful displays. We loved talking to him and hope he enjoys his upcoming Wyoming trip! The limo was clean, stocked with water, drink, and decorated with Christmas garland. We were able to play our own music (sorry about the Richard Cheese songs!)

We were staying in McMinnville and Sherry was kind enough to pick us up from our airbnb. The tour ended up being just the three of us so that was a nice surprise. At stop 2 she provided us a snack lunch of spinach dip, breads, cookies, and fruits which was lovely. She was kind enough to take photos of us throughout our relaxing day, and she was incredibly knowledgeable about the Willamette Valley region and wines. The van that she transported us in was very spacious for our group. She provided us with water bottles, a special sweet treat and allowed us to charge our phones. Most importantly, she was extremely kind and a pleasure to spend time with. We so appreciated everything and can't recommend her enough!

Roger takes the time to call you in advance of the tour, talk about what you might like in terms of wine style, types of grapes, feel of the tasting rooms and your desired pace of the day. We found that planning for there wineries in a day is really the perfect leisurely pace to set - four leaves you tired, and five will put you down for the count! What makes Tesla Custom tours exceptional is Roger's live of wine, and extensive experience in the area. He knows the vintners personally, understands the pros and cons of each one well, and is a "club member" of several the vineyards he likes himself. It's a treat to have a tour guide who really enjoys the craft aspect of winemaking and is able to share his local knowledge and experience as part of the day's adventures. Rodgers also prepares an over the top lunch for guests that is served at one of the wineries along the way, pairing the food with the wine in a delightful ambience that creates great memories. A huge thank you to Roger for always taking great care of us and our friends!

If you are in Salem, definitely make this one of your first stops for information, maps, brochures, and suggestions. I called and spoke with Taylor regarding a street map of Salem, which she informed me they have in stock, courtesy of the Salem Chamber of Commerce (Thank You Chamber). When I arrived at the pink building on the corner of State there was the mystical parking spot -- Free for 30 minutes. I grabbed the spot but there are many parking options nearby, not to mention free parking in the Parkcades for the Salem Center. The foyer has a selection of travel magazines, but venture further inside to enjoy free wifi and a sitting area to rest your weary feet from walking around historic downtown Salem. Taylor was still working and quickly provided the street maps I requested. While I waited I entered a drawing for a free nights stay in a Salem hotel by providing information about my visit. There were free issues of the Salem Statesman newspaper, and a vast array of Wine country magazines and other local attractions. FYI, my favorite spots in Salem are Riverfront Park, The Gilbert House for those traveling with young children, The State Capitol tours and grounds, and the fun events going on at the Fairgrounds year-round. For those with dogs, visit Minto-Brown Island Park. Your fur baby will love you more and they will be exhausted. Call or stop by Travel Salem. They are very informative, professional, and helpful.

I want to know everything about where ever I may be, and that includes my home town of Salem. That most of the mags end up on the floor of my car is irrelevant; being informed is what's important. I have never, ever, ever in all my years in this great state seen SO many travel mags/brochures/maps. It was the mecca of Oregon information--and you can be certain that I grabbed quite a bit. Not so much that going back would be redundant, just enough to get through to my next travel mag fix. When you grow up in a lame city like Salem, in a seemingly lame state such as Oregon, you tend to lose (or never gain) appreciation for the sites right in your own backyard. Since leaving my twenties I have gained (or re-gained) this appreciation and can now say, "There's so MUCH to do around her!" Ok, not in Salem. But every where else there is! Go support your own traveler information center. You won't find a better one anywhere--I promise.
