if I could give them a negative rating I would be doing so! I bought new Ram truck for towing a travel trailer. The truck is equipped with TPMS for towing a RV. I paid to have stems installed In Camper tires, no communication to truck. I was told, I was their first customer to have this installation & they didn't know how it worked, subsequently, three visits late, it still doesn't work. According to their service manager & representative, corporate engineering is aware & haven't come up with a solution. They apparently were aware of the problem, but failed to disclose when I inquired about installing. Perhaps if they had, I wouldn't have wasted my money. I have asked for a refund & was told to call customer care.... still waiting for some kind of resolution! I have zero confidence In this service department! A lot of misinformation.whatever you are told by sales. Get it in writing. Make sure your vehicle is registered before accepting. They will get a temporary that cannot be extended. They know this and then they will not telk you. You then have to take all the documents to dmv to get a temporary not k owing if you transfer succeeded. If they just gave you the docs u could do it yourself in a day. Instead they gather all of the sales from 9 dealerships and wait to go the dmv.. DO NOT TRUST THEM. read more

All I can say is Absolutely Positively stay away from them. Oh they are all nice and friendly when they are selling you the car (we bought two there). Then the smiles and promises with purchasing their super special warranty. They even circle the number to call if car breaks down. Well it is a farce, a joke. They will only tow the car if right near them. Then you have to follow up with them, they don't even bother to reach out to tell you what is going on. Then all you hear is "part is on back order" no ETA, no offer of a rental or loaner. Nothing! 99 days and counting car sat there then they finally return it disgustingly dirty with some sap or wax or something on it. Never ever go to this place, you will regret it. read more

OK, one of the worst experiences in car buying in my 59 years on this planet, first, the jeep wranglers, and the Dodge pick up trucks are between three and $5000 over MSRP, that right there is a major turn off, but I was looking at a jeep compass, which was at MSRP and that's fine, went in test drove it said I wanted to put a deposit on it because it was a specific edition ,worked with Mike in sales and he wouldn't take a deposit and he said it's not our policy that it should be fine and tomorrow just to come in and it'll bring the bank draft that we have for preapproval so I called him the next day in the morning he said yep everything's fine gonna get it cleaned up and everything and then he called me in the afternoon said somebody sold it I said well I wanted to give you deposit so he went and looked for another one for me, he found one at IG Burton in Berlin, got it shipped to Preston, we did all the paperwork we got you know 3 1/2 hours in the dealership, and when we're signing the paperwork, they slipped in a piece of paper that said binding arbitration agreement, I said, I'm not signing this, and signing my rights away, he went and got the finance manager. The finance manager said well if you don't sign it, we can't sell you the car, so my wife and I stood up and said OK I guess we're not buying the car and then he got right up to us and said that you're not gonna buy a new car anywhere because that's just required. I said no it's not, I looked it up on my phone and Delaware, is not a forced binding arbitration state, they waste a 3 1/2 hours of my time, I drove out to IG Burton in Berlin, Maryland, they said they never heard of such a thing, sold me a car gave me discounts that Preston didn't even tell me was available like fire, fighter, discounts, etc., I bought the car from them hassle free drove home in it last night, I'll never deal with Preston in millsboro, and they are the closest to my house, I can't believe they wanted me to sign my rights away, and lost a sale because of this, if you're looking for a Jeep product, go to IG Burton in Berlin, Maryland . read more

I hate writing negative reviews, but I honestly believe that when you have a negative experience, it's in the best interest of others to let them know. I avoided writing about my "bait and switch" interest rate change until my "imbedded fee" charges today. A year ago I purchased my truck at Preston. We negotiated and arrived at a satisfactory payment. When I arrived in the finance seat to finalize the deal, the interest rate, and of course the payment were not as quoted. I was told that the original payment was just "an estimate", despite having already run my credit (803). I've purchased several dozen cars over the years, and it's not an "estimate", it's the deal! And in case your wondering, I did purchase the truck because I loved it. But what prompted this review is the imbedded cost to have my truck serviced. I brought in my 2022 truck in for a recall and decided to get my oil changed at the same time. The cost ended up being $100.41, approximately $20.00 more than my cost at Meineke. When I reviewed the invoice, I found $9.46 in "imbedded fees" for documents, solvent, lube, and an envelope (which by the way I did not receive). So now the paper the invoice is printed in, the envelope in which the invoice is placed, the washer fluid and lube always included in the multipoint inspection now cost additional. So even though it's only $9.46, it's an additional fee to line the pockets of the dealer. We all know dealing with car dealers in a risk we all have to undertake. We all hope that we have gotten a good deal, but also know car dealers are selling cars to make as much money off the sale as possible. Purchased a used vehicle here about 2 years ago (low mileage, in presumably great condition). The finance director made me feel like I was in a courtroom (with a good credit score, can't imagine if you were on the lower side). One week later, I was stranded with a dead battery. Scary for me, but ok. Certainly no sympathy from Preston. Dec 2021 needed check engine diagnostics. They were unable to ascertain a loose cable. Took my vehicle back just this past weekend for an oil change. Upon pickup I noticed my tire pressure sensors weren't registering; oops, said the tech, I forgot to reset. All of this might have been excusable. But not the next bit: driving my vehicle the next 30 miles, check engine light comes on. The tech DID NOT TIGHTEN THE OIL CAP. Spent fluids all across my engine compartment, that terrible feeling when your car is dying and how you're going to safely make it home. I've reached out to the shop privately before posting a bad review. You guessed it, no response. So, don't let all the pretty Jeep's on the lot fool you. This dealership is shady. read more

Service department here was the worst and unprofessional I have ever seen. I took my vehicle for a simple ALIGNMENT. I came here with my brakes working perfectly fine and after they get done with it I noticed my brake light is on. I go in to speak with someone about it and the mechanic says he is going to pull around back and when he does he stomps on my vehicle around the parking lot almost hitting another vehicle pulling into the parking lot. They come back out and says "your brake fluid is leaking and sprayed all over the inside of your tire." I then begin to say how, I had brakes before I came here and now all of a sudden I don't have any brakes after you guys work on it. The guy then says be careful driving it home because there isn't going to be any brakes. Now how in the H*** is that even safe to do that???! Wanting to put my life and others in dangers on the road because now I don't have any brakes. I spoke to management and they were able to give me a rental vehicle to take home for the evening. I come back the next day and they say it wasn't there fault it was just bad timing for the brake line to give out. Now how convenient is that for something to go wrong at a dealership?? They said they would fix it for $600 but they could cut me a deal for $300. Umm no you guys messed up my breaks and won't even cover for it?? So now I'm out of my vehicle and have to pay a private towing company to get my vehicle off there property with my own money!! After I already paid them $150 to get the alignment done which was the main purpose I was there to begin with. I strongly don't recommend this place for anything ever again. I cancelled my appointment because it is ridiculous to have to wait 3 weeks for a simple oil change. I asked why and made inquiries 2 or 3 times with no reply. Instead of your free oil change, I bought the oil and filter and did it myself at 5,000 miles. I should send you the invoice. I have 6,300 miles on now and if I waited for your availability, I'd have close to 7,000 miles on it. I emailed you asking why such a long delay, but you never answered. We left the dealership on Saturday without making a deal. We called Monday morning and accepted the deal they offered, and made an appointment to pick the vehicle up later that day as we had to work. We were notified a couple hours before the appointment that the vehicle had been sold to someone else. Upon arrival, everyone was so wonderful. The dealership was sparkling clean, (the music selection was on point too!!). Just a pleasant atmosphere all around. Then we met Luis. Luis was amazing! I didn't at any time feel pressured, I never sensed frustration on his part and felt like he truly wanted us to find our "dream Jeep!" We didn't expect to find it. We assumed we would be ordering a 2020 that day but due to your inventory and great service, we drove home in a beautiful 2019 Jeep Sahara that very evening. It took over 90 days to get a title and still don't have tags and no one from the dealership including the salesperson has called. I've never experienced anything like it. BEWARE!!! I brought my vehicle in for an oil change. I received my vehicle back and as far as I was concerned all was good. 5 days later, I realized my vehicle was leaking oil. I called to alert the service department of the problem and asked to bring my vehicle in to have them figure out the problem, this was on a Saturday, I was told they were too busy that the soonest they could look at it was on Monday. Over the weekend I discovered that there was no oil at all on the dip stick. I didn't think it was safe to drive my vehicle, I didn't want to risk ruining the engine. On Monday morning I called the service department when they opened at 7:30 a.m., the Service Manager did not answer, I left a voicemail. I called again to speak to the service advisor that I dealt with for the oil change, again I got their voicemail. By 9:00 a.m. no one had bothered to call me back. I called again, very annoyed and finally talked to a sales manager, who promised he would have someone in the service department call me. When I received that call, I was given the phone number of a towing company and the dealership had my car towed to the dealership. I was promised that they would work on my vehicle as soon as it was delivered. I was told that the "oil filter was defective" I don't believe that for a minute. Whoever performed the oil change didn't put the oil filter on properly and did not check for oil leaks before returning my vehicle to me. Additionally, I paid for synthetic oil and they were just going to top off the oil. I had to insist that they drain the oil and put in the synthetic oil that I had paid for. I sent an email to the General Manager of the dealership detailing my experience. I was never contacted, I did not receive any type of apology or a refund. This is extremely poor customer service. I would not recommend the service department at Millsboro Chrysler Dodge to any one. read more
