Cute chocolate and ice cream shop! The only one in old town Burlingame so far. We tried chocolate and mocha ice cream. Ice cream texture is soft, rich but also chewy! This is good. For flavors, chocolate was strong and delicious. Mocha flavor was lighter but had yummy almond pieces. Where's the ice cream from? The circle containers are Mitchell's and rectangular containers are Loard's. Both are local! Take your pick. I personally have loved the chocolate which was from Mitchell's. I spotted a Mitchell Lucuma flavor (not for sale) that I would LOVE to try as a customer since it's so unique! Their dark chocolate is hand made and had a ton of variety. We happened to walk by and decided to stop by since it was my daughter's birthday. I'm so glad we did! They have a huge selection of ice cream options and a few non-dairy ones as well as chocolate and other confections. Cute ice cream shop located on Broadway. There are a variety of ice cream flavors to choose from and a chocolate selection as well. There were two large groups here on a Saturday morning and the one staff member working was moving quickly to get everyone their order even though you can tell she was a bit frazzled - she did a great job though. We ordered scoops of mango, ube, and rocky road for the kids and they all sat quietly on the bench outside to enjoy their treat. OMG, my friend had given me the Dubai Chocolate Bar during my last visit, and it is DELICIOUS. It has a nice dark chocholate shell/exterior but I was most impressed with the crunch of the kataifi and the not too sweet flavor. I feel a bit guilty finishing the whole thing in one sitting, hah. Mind all of this even after it had been sitting in my travel backpack for 2 weeks. I've had the dubai chocolates sold at C*stco but those were too sweet and the crunch was not nearly as satisfying this bar. I originally came here for ice cream but then I discovered their in house made rose Turkish delights and became obsessed. At $1 each, they're a bit expensive but the best I've had after trying at two other places. They have great chocolate covered candies as well! Their ice cream is also very delicious and they have a wonderful variety of flavors, in both cream based ice creams and water based sherbets. Parking is a bit difficult since it's street parking depending the time but usually I've been able to find parking quickly. The only thing is that when you walk in usually there's no one there to provide service right away when it's empty of customers but they come out while you're browsing. read more

Like stepping back in time, super quaint little charming shoppe (yes, we the British life world charm :-) It's small yet manages to squeeze in all manners of candies and sweets and ice-creams ... a heaven for little ones and I've known many an adult to look forward as well. My husband got a scoop of their chocolate praline but something or the other and loved it, especially on their cone which brings out those childhood memories. We came here last night; it has been years since we were last here. I love dark chocolate & we found a selection that was wonderful. You can get bars or smnaller pieces. I chose to get some small pieces of the chocolate covered marzapan, mint, & Dubai pastatio. They chocolate & fillings alike were smooth & nutty respectively; the mint was perfect & not overpowering. I will be back to try more, including ice cream. So, for a wonderful selection of chocolates with friendly service in a casual atmosphere at reasonable prices, Preston's cannot be beat. Came back for our fix of Peppermint Stick Candy flavor & the Espresso Coffee with Chocolate Bits but the alternate ice cream cooler wasn't working according to the new owner. He said they'll probably receive more Peppermint next Thursday. We were disappointed because that was our first choice. My brother ended up taste-testing & getting a hand-packed pint of Butter Brickle. I ended up getting a hand-packed quart of the Espresso Coffee. I was offered a ready-packed quart of coffee but was told the Espresso had a stronger coffee flavor. You could see the bits of espresso dotting the ice cream. The candy isn't as prevalent in the front left counter which was empty. There were still people coming in for ice cream, though and a line of 4 people was forming. Another Hispanic lady came out to help & I think it was Irene Preston, the previous owner who is 77 y/o. We finished with our order & told the new owner we'd be back for the Peppermint!
