Their flavors as of August 2026 - Vanilla Chocolate Matcha Red Guava Black Sesame (might have been more but can't recall) It was good! I ended up getting a cup with half red guava and half matcha. The guava soft serve was soooo goooood, I got the matcha because it wasn't too sweet and was a good balance to the fruity guava. Comes with 1 free topping, i chose oats which was perfect because i just wanted a crunchy texture that wouldn't take away from the guava and matcha flavors. And the chocolate was on the darker side, but still not too bitter or sweet. The black sesame (which I only sampled) was not flavorful enough for me.....but maybe with more tastes I would've learned to like it. The cones looked very thin and fragile so we didn't get one....but could've been good idk haha. My partner and I got the red guava soft serve with black berry powder, the cookies and cream soft serve with biscoff cookie crumble, and the croffle, also with the biscoff cookie crumble. I loved the guava with the black berry powder! It has a gentle guava flavor with a nice tartness from the powder AND it looks stunning in pictures. The cookies and cream was also good but surprisingly, no visible representation of the cookies. Truly just soft serve through and through. The croffle was heated up on the spot by two kind employees and condensed milk was put on top. My partner and I decided to combine our cookies and cream soft serve with a waffle, which ended up being a pretty tasty combination. The service is friendly and you get your desserts quite quickly. There isn't much seating inside, but there seems to be more seating outside however I would not recommend eating outside if you're going to the ice cream shop at night because it gets cold in the area. My husband got rainbow sprinkles, and I got granola topping (you get one for free). Unlike other places, he wasn't stingy, making sure that the surface was completely covered. It's hard with granola, so I told him that it was good. But I trully appreciate his generosity. -Authentic flavors: I got the guava and black sesame, and neither tasted artificial. The black sesame, which can easily trend toward peanut flavor, was legit. My picky husband was swooning over his Ghirardelli chocolate, saying it was one of the best he's ever had. -Exceptional texture: Flawlessly creamy without any chunks or ice crystals. Saw this spot on IG reels and decided to give it a try after lunch. My boyfriend and I split the black sesame in a cup with the cone upside down, and for our free topping we selected chocolate pieces. They skimped on the topping, the cone was brittle and stale along with lacking flavor/substance, and the black sesame flavor was just not strong at all. We were talking about how enthusiastic we were to try an ice cream spot that specialized in a handful of flavors since we felt that they are more likely to do the flavors that they do do well, but this was just not the case at Buena's. I'd come back here to try a different flavor, maybe something more classic like chocolate or strawberry.
