The chicken salad was large, tasty, and had onions, celery and grapes in perfect proportions. The soup was hot and thick, with very tiny bits of carrot and other veggies. I had the chocolate meringue pie. The crust is light and buttery. The meringue is old fashioned goodness. The chocolate is dark and rich and not overly sweet. The coconut meringue looked really awesome and everyone said the coconut was incredible. I was part of a group of over 25 people and the owner made and served all the food and drinks. She did a superb job cooking and serving this meal. Water, tea (sweet or unsweetened) and coffee was included. Lunch was $13.75 including tax. That's sandwich, soup, PIE and a drink! Great place for a large gathering. I didn't have my phone handy so I couldn't grab pics. But the next time I'm close, I'll be stopping by for some coconut meringue pie!

Our service was faulty. An extra side dish was accidentally sent out on my partner's plate, and the wait staff said, "oops!", removed it off of his plate, and served it to the person sitting behind us. I think it is rude to remove food off of a customer's plate, even if it is an accidental extra. But especially poor procedure to then serve that to another customer. The menu on their Facebook was not current, and what I had been very excited to order was no longer in their printed menu. The current menu was less thrilling. My club sandwich a good size. They allowed customization. I felt my sandwich was of average restaurant value, perhaps a bit better value. The 3 breaded fish basket and fries was not impressive. Very basic. The fries are breaded fries. (I personally like that style) I do not think it was a good value for cost. I think it has too much powdered garlic. Garlic has no business being in coleslaw. This is the mass produced really cheap grade school coleslaw that's also too sweet. I'm admittedly a coleslaw snob and when I asked if the coleslaw is on the sweet side, she said it wasn't. What she really meant is that she's never tried it because she hates cabbage. I should have gotten tater tots. I was trying to find something not fried. She did offer to replace it, but I didn't need anything--that was very nice and unexpected.
