i walked in looking for good chicken. I was greeted by an iPad to take my order and learned its $17.50 for a chicken sandwich combo. so I am thinking they don't hire employees and they charge a lot which means this is a premium chicken sandwich. There was a built in tip of 15% too, so I'm thinking there is going to premium service too. nope and nope. The chicken is mediocre. I don't mean I didn't like their receipt, which I didn't. Too much paprika. but the Chicken itself was nothing special and does not deserve a $10 premium over cheaper chicken. The service was worse. I spilled my soda down my pants and all over the floor. they do not give out lids for drinks as they are too trendy and trying to save the planet, or some crap like that. In trying to clean myself up in the packed house, not a singly employee lifted a finger to help. I found some towels in the back and cleaned up the floor by myself. So the food is mediocre at a premium price and the service is non-existent yet they still want a tip. read more

Food at the new location in Midvale was fresh. The staff and service was great. The deal is... it is sssooo expensive. $40 for a chicken sandwich, chicken tenders and one order of fries. I was honestly a little disappointed in the chicken. I got a 3 piece combo "hot" and the heat was great but the breading was interesting and had some sort of sweet flavoring to it. They only give you one sauce and for the size of the chicken strips in that combo they should at least give 2. For $18 I don't think it's worth the hype. Dog Haus in Sandy has an amazing hot chicken sandwich that's definitely worth a try. Not sure we will be back to Pretty Bird though, just not my cup of tea. read more

One thing to be aware of is as you use the kiosk to place your order, the kiosk AUTOMATICALLY adds a 15% tip. To me this is inappropriate. It is not a sit-down restaurant with servers (I just ordered at a kiosk), there is no service...yep, I had to fill up my own beverage glass, clean up my own trash, etc.). And frankly, I'm not sure why they think anyone there deserves a tim. Nothing is done to earn it. Not.toention, you have no idea to whom the tip.is going...the employees, the owner? This sneak attack is a cheap shot by management..and not a welcomed one. -10 stars for this inappropriate behavior. I ate tat the Pretty Bird restaurant in Park City and I loved it. The chicken sandwich was absolutely top notch and everything felt super fresh. I've eaten a lot of chicken sandwiches in my life and I've never had one with a dry rub that adhered so evenly and perfectly. Chef Viet and his crew really know how to give top quality customer service and amazing food. Even the crinkle cut fries were crispy and delicious. We got our food to go here tonight and first off almost walked out based on the price alone. It cost me $35 just for two combos. My expectations were high at that price point. We got our order to go and ended up with the wrong order, which is ok accidents happen. Where we ran into the real problems is there is no phone number nor email nor customer service anything on their website. I got the complete wrong order which at the price point it's at needed to be fixed. I had to drive back which is 20 minutes each way to get the correct order. The employees were nice. I just feel like a phone number or some sort if contact would be nice so I could have gotten a refund and not taken 40 mins extra out of my night to get my food. read more

This was my first time going to Pretty Bird in a few years and it reminded me of what I've been missing out on. The chicken was tender but crispy on the outside. The slaw and sauce balanced the sandwich nicely. If you like Canes' sauce, you'll like Pretty Bird's signature sauce. You can choose your spice level on the chicken as well. If this place wasn't so expensive, I would come more often. If you're planning on getting a meal, be prepared to pay around $20. For quick bite that's not the same old thing I like this place. Chicken and quick service done well. Fried chicken with a twist of sweet hot. If you don't like mild at least your missing the point. If spice ain't your thing I am sure the chicken is good. But the slaw and sweet hot made it something else. Great huge patio and indoor seating. Order at the pads as you walk in. Questions. Just glad that there's a Pretty Bird even closer to me now! It can be pretty pricey, definitely not an everyday chicken sandwich, but well worth the money in my opinion. Delicious, juicy chicken thigh so well seasoned that it's silly. The slaw is a vinegar base not a mayo base which works so well here. The crinkle cut fries are great. My wife and I didn't love the Pretty Bird sauce for the fries as much as we liked just normal fry sauce but it wasn't bad! read more

Honestly I love the food! But I was very disappointed by the service at this location. I went in after work superr hungry and made my order, 15 minutes passed then 30 and I was wondering what was taking so long but I didn't say anything because I worked in food too and sometimes stuff goes wrong. They bring me a bag and tell me they ran out of what I ordered and they'll refund me in 2-3 days and gave me a sandwich that I couldn't eat because of the toppings. I gave the sandwich to a friend but I really wish they would've told me when I ordered instead of having me wait 30 minutes to get something I can't eat. The chicken sandwich was tasty but it was overdressed and a little bit soggy. I ordered the medium spice level. I enjoy spicy food and I thought the spice level was just right. We also ordered the "jumbo" nuggets. They were anything but jumbo. No larger than nuggets from other chicken restaurants. They were also a little soggy and weren't breaded properly. One side of the nugget had way too much breading, and the other side had almost no breading at all. The atmosphere is unique. They simply had a few tablets against the wall to order your food. The menu is very minimalistic. The staff were mostly just standing around staring out at customers from behind the counter. No one welcomed us or offered any help. If you prefer no interaction with the staff, this place may be for you. I was made aware of the automatic tip after reading other reviews. An automatic tip for a chicken sandwich and some nuggets is a scam. I'll gladly give a generous tip to wait staff at a restaurant, but the staff provided essentially no service for me. Why should I be required to tip them? It wasn't clear at all that there would be an automatic tip added to my bill. In conclusion, we paid a premium price for average chicken meals. BEFORE: chicken tender on a perfectly sized/shaped roll, plenty of flavorful slaw, and plenty of sauce. NOW: chicken tender on a round bun, which doesn't fit the elongated tender, so roughly 35% of the bun has no chicken to go with it, and the bun is not toasted, it was cold while the chicken tender was hot; not very much slaw, and what it did come with wasn't as good as before; hardly any sauce, the sandwich was dry.
