I was serviced by Bells. I had great communication with her before the service. Studio was gorgeously clean and bright. Front desk girl was very sweet. I was 5 minutes late and I did call and warn them and they were very understanding. Both tattoos took slightly longer than planned but came out gorg. Was very educational and I felt very informed afterwards. The restroom had feminine hygiene supplies and was very clean. They service women, men and gender nonconforming people. All staff are women which was really nice. The only thing I didnt adore was that to get to the restroom you had to pass by the lobby, and given when getting tattooed you arent always fully clothed It was a little awkward. read more

I got my very first tattoo with Michelle back in January and it was a great experience. So when I saw she opened her own place I knew I had to get my next ones there. First off, it is a beautiful tattoo shop - so clean and beautifully decorated. She also has cute novelty items promoting her place and gave some to my boyfriend and I after I was done. And of course her work, I am so fortunate to have gotten my first tattoo with her. She offers breaks (thankfully I didn't need one lol) and talks you through the design and placement. She is very patient - makes sure it is exactly where/how you want the tattoo. She also gives good aftercare information. As someone who is very squeamish, her work is so good and she is calming so I got two done in one session! It is so worth it making an appointment with Michelle for your tattoos. I know I will keep getting mine done by her. read more

I have 6 tattoos done by 5 different artists and I'll only go to Michelle now. The shop was very clean and all health and safety precautions were taken. The tattoo itself entailed a bunch of lines that needed to be very precise and every line was crisp. The shading of the tattoo was nearly painless as well. Michelle is extremely talented and so much fun to work with. I highly, highly recommend Michelle and her shop! read more

Michelle is a great tattoo artist. She has done 3 tattoos on me. She did an amazing job on all of my tattoos and is very talented. I plan on going to her for more tattoos in the future. She's very patient with figuring out where you want to place the tattoo and how big to make it. She's also very friendly so I had a great overall experience with her. The shop is extremely clean which is very important to me and it is designed nicely. I love the pictures on the walls. I would definitely recommend Michelle and Pretty in Ink! read more

Michelle made my first tattoo a wonderful experience! Michelle was so patient with me picking out the tattoo/size, deciding on the placement and giving breaks during the process. Her husband was a good source of comic relief as we talked about 90 fiance while I got my tattoo. The shop itself nicely decorated & beautiful that I told her to come decorate my apartment. I can't wait for my second tattoo with Michelle! read more

He has done the art for rock posters, video games, large agency advertising, Warner Brothers, High Times Magazine and many others. His pinups are some of best out there. Got an old tribal piece from those hazy days back in the 90's you need to get covered? Seppuku is the place. That portfolio alone is worth visiting just to see what what they started with and what they transformed it into. Matt is a phenomenal painter and does some of the most intricate portrait work I have ever seen. Ever seen a bad portrait someone has butchered on someone's skin? Matt's work will simply amaze you at the way he captures the human (and sometimes inhuman) face. You have to see his work to believe it. Jamison is the up and coming artist in the studio who learning from two of the best. His work definitely shows he's paying attention. He has a long and prosperous career ahead of him. Both Matt and Johnny are completing my full sleeves. I couldn't imagine a better place to get my work done. The shop is a showcase of talent. Posters, paintings and portfolios crammed full of art that will blow your mind. I'm not exaggerating. It's on your body forever, right? No second guessing here. You will be more than pleased with any work you have done at Seppuku. You could not pick a better shop in the country to have work done.

It'd been like 6 years since I'd been to his OLD shop, and he remembered me and remembered details of the conversation we had when I got my tattoo then. That blew me away, but it just goes to show the kind of person he is. It's not just putting ink down. It's allowing your vision for your tattoo to come through. I went with him 6 years ago for that reason, and he continues to be the same way, allowing his professionalism to shine through as he puts your vision into form. He's super high-tech, as well. Blew me away when he super-imposed the picture of my tattoo onto my arm with some virtual reality A.I. program on his iPad. I was able to see it before he'd even put it on my arm. The process, as last time, was super chill. I trust his artistry. Granted, I had more of a vision of what I wanted... but even his process of tweaking and asking good questions so that you get exactly what you want, but also something that will make 'tattoo sense' (just made that up, not sure if it's an actual phrase, but you catch my drift). All in all, as before, he killed the tattoo. I took public transportation from Brooklyn... 2 hours each way... just so that I could come have him do my tattoo. Highly recommend. HIGHLY!

Today is my birthday and I wanted to get a tattoo for my birthday. I've been communicating with them via messenger and had an appointment scheduled for 1 PM today. The appointment was made several weeks ago. As it is my birthday I made plans around this appointment. It was very disheartening and disappointing to get no response after several attempts on confirmation of my appointment. After finally getting a response that they can accommodate me but had to push me back later in the day, which did not work with my birthday plans. Again, I did not use them and can't vouch for how good or bad they are regarding the work they do, but the experience I had was a sour one.

Great tattoo shop. I've been coming here for all of my tattoos since they first opened. I have 7 tattoos from them plus one cover up. I also have gotten my permanent makeup eyebrows done.
