I'm sharing my experience so others can make a fully informed decision before committing…read morefinancially. I purchased a Thermage package and financed it through Health Care Finance Direct (HFD.) During my first treatment, the provider began at lower energy levels and gradually increased the joules, explaining that higher settings are necessary to achieve therapeutic results. As the energy increased, the pain became extremely intense. I could not tolerate the recommended joule levels required for optimal results. Because of the discomfort, the settings had to be reduced to a lower level. I later learned that lowering the joules meant the treatment would likely not reach therapeutic effectiveness. I did not immediately complain. I understood that Thermage results take time, and I waited approximately 3.5 months -- the timeframe I was told results would begin to appear. After waiting the full period, I saw no visible improvement. At that point, I reached out to express my concerns. I was told that the treatment can feel "spicy" and that pushing through higher energy levels is often necessary for best results. I did not appreciate that I was told by a representative to just push through the pain. However, the pain at those levels was not something I could physically tolerate, but after the treatment was done they ran away with my money. To make matters worst, if you get any loan through LaserAway, the financial bank will side with LaserAway as they state they have not authority to overturn their decision. Even after I there were no results and the pain was intolerable. High way robbery. I ultimately decided not to proceed with additional treatments because I could not endure the energy levels required to achieve meaningful results. LaserAway cancelled the remaining unused services and issued a partial refund, but I was still held responsible for the cost of the initial treatment -- even though it could not be performed at therapeutic levels due to pain tolerance and resulted in no visible improvement after the full waiting period. My concern is not simply that "results may vary." My concern is that patients should clearly understand before purchasing that optimal results may require tolerating significant discomfort at higher energy levels, and that if you cannot tolerate those levels, you may still be financially responsible even if no results occur. If you don't have a high threshold for pain, I strongly recommend asking very direct questions about: * Expected pain intensity * Required joule levels for results * What happens if you cannot tolerate those levels * Financial obligations if results are not achieved Make sure you are fully comfortable with both the physical and financial commitment before proceeding. For anyone with lower back sensitivity like myself, having the legs slightly elevated during the session could make a big difference. My back felt a little stiff by the end, and a small adjustment like that would have made the experience even more comfortable. The music selection was lovely and really set a relaxing atmosphere. There was some ambient noise from the front desk and neighboring stations early on, but it settled down as the session went on, allowing me to fully unwind and enjoy the experience. They also have a myriad of options for nail polish colors. I ended up selecting a gel nail polish, which at the time of writing this review, a month later, is still intact on my toe nails. (I know - I need another pedicure soon. lol) I will say the price was a little bit costly compared to other places I have been, however, that may be because we selected one of the highest packages. Either way, my mother enjoyed the shop and even upon leaving the guy at the register, welcomed us to come back by giving us a 10% off our next service coupon. I thought taking care of my feet wasn't a manly thing but that crazy thought process has prevented me from getting a pedicure until now. I am glad to be enlightened! So just know that the services described occurred nearly a year before it was actually posted. ---------- I came here for the first time a few weeks ago. I asked for natural looking acrylic nails. I've never had acrylics, so granted, I wasn't exactly sure how to express what I wanted. But I said I wanted them to look natural & not too long. He suggested square so I agreed, but when he checked with me, I said I'd like it more rounded. He did a little, but not much. I also asked for ombré as the lady next to me had it done & it looked nice. I think he didn't want to actually try because while he did it, it didn't look nice and he let it stain all around my nail bed. I wound up filing them down at home to be more the shape I wanted. When they needed filled, I went elsewhere & they totally listened & did what I asked. Today, I came here again for a quick pedicure. I asked for the #2 because I have some calluses I need worked on. The girl I got today was half asleep. There was very little effort put in at all. She barely scrubbed my calluses at all. Then when she went to put oil on my feet, she squirted out a ton of nail polish remover directly into my foot & ankle. And she didn't even say anything or rinse it off. She just grabbed the oil and put it on top & rubbed it all in. That was the final thing that made me feel like I needed to write this review. I've come here because it's close to my home & it overall has good reviews, but neither of my experiences have been worth the money I've paid, I don't feel. So unfortunately, I won't be coming back.
