This review was written nearly a year prior to posting. I had saved it in my drafts & forgot to go back and actually post it. So just know that the services described occurred nearly a year before it was actually posted. ---------- I came here for the first time a few weeks ago. I asked for natural looking acrylic nails. I've never had acrylics, so granted, I wasn't exactly sure how to express what I wanted. But I said I wanted them to look natural & not too long. He suggested square so I agreed, but when he checked with me, I said I'd like it more rounded. He did a little, but not much. I also asked for ombré as the lady next to me had it done & it looked nice. I think he didn't want to actually try because while he did it, it didn't look nice and he let it stain all around my nail bed. I wound up filing them down at home to be more the shape I wanted. When they needed filled, I went elsewhere & they totally listened & did what I asked. Today, I came here again for a quick pedicure. I asked for the #2 because I have some calluses I need worked on. The girl I got today was half asleep. There was very little effort put in at all. She barely scrubbed my calluses at all. Then when she went to put oil on my feet, she squirted out a ton of nail polish remover directly into my foot & ankle. And she didn't even say anything or rinse it off. She just grabbed the oil and put it on top & rubbed it all in. That was the final thing that made me feel like I needed to write this review. I've come here because it's close to my home & it overall has good reviews, but neither of my experiences have been worth the money I've paid, I don't feel. Update on 3/25/26: I really liked Chau. She was really easy to talk to and super nice. She did both my toes and hands and did a really good job in terms of design. Her lines are very straight and she made sure I liked the shade of color for my nails. She even filed my nails to make it look really slim and clean. I will be definitely going back to her. Nail chipped only one day after getting acrylic fill with gel polish done. Went in and thankfully they fixed it for free no problem which was good... but I don't want to/shouldn't have to go back again for this whole nail coming off now! I've never had this happen before. :/ read more

The nails come out nice 50% - and the question is why/how? "If you find your nail person, you can consistently go back to them and the nails will be nice 100% of the time right?" Wrong. If you can't tell by the fact that there aren't many reviews that specifically say "Go to X," they constantly switch people on you, so it's impossible to have a consistent person. Even if you book with someone, they might say "Is [a different person] okay now?" and there's this strange pressure to abide. You might get a good person one day and a bad person another day (or worse, a bad person for your hands but okay person for your feet & vice/versa). And to reiterate, there's this awkwardness that makes it so you can't keep going to the same person. Come get your nails done and notice nearly no one walking in says they have an appt - purely walk-in/luck of the draw if your nail person is good. Overall, nails are nice and the technicians are polite at best. Walk-in on Saturday afternoon 6/18/22 for a gel manicure, Jenna took me right away, no wait. I chose Daisy DND Gel Color #688 Hollyshimmer with a layer of gold glitter ombre on all nails, square slightly rounded shape on my natural nails. Having it on every nail and not just as an accent was a fun move. I haven't been in since before Covid times so the layout of the interior has changed but I like the clean bright aesthetic now. They didn't try to force me to do dipping powder or acrylics, though they did ask if I also wanted a pedicure. I'm not too chatty of a person in general when it comes to services like this, and it felt like it went by quickly but was really an hour and not rushed at all. The lamps for curing each gel layer I'm not sure if LED but overall a great job. Lotion and hand/forearm massage included with manicure, upcharge for gel polish of course. The gel polish is said to last 21 days and so far it's been almost a week and a half with no chips/cracks/peeling/lifting, the nails feel strong and retained the shape, minimal growout from the cuticle. Regular acrylic fill, nothing fancy. Worst nail place I've ever been to. Wish I could post 0 stars. The staff is rude. The person who did my nails was rude. She stuck my hand on a small round box instead of spreading out a towel. It was very uncomfortable. She did not file my nails properly and did not buff them before putting the polish on even though I mentioned they should be buffed. My nails look uneven and thick, one hand quite visibly shorter than the other. I will never go back there. Such a waste of money. This is the second time I've been and they were not good. The first time they kept pushing gel so I felt uncomfortable and got gel. I paid so much and it didn't last well and wasn't done very well. Then I went again for Mother's Day and not even 24hrs later and my nails are peeling from doing laundry! I only went here because my normal place was closed but even next time I will never come here again. I called and came right away and then when I got there they said I had to wit because I took too long after calling. I said I'd be there in 10-15min, and that's when I got there. Then when I was down the girl didn't say anything to me just had me sitting there until finally I said my nails were dry and I was ready to pay. I gave a cash payment and way over tipped because again it was easier with cash as they were getting my change. I am so disappointed and gave this place multiple tries but never again. First time getting mani and pedi. Much needed pampering myself. Decided to give this place a try since it was nearby. Came here Monday afternoon and they were not busy. Polly was the one helping me. Since it was my first time ever, I had no idea what to expect or do. I chose package 2, which is spa pedicure for $35. After pedicure was done, Polly helped me put on my shoes. I didn't know they do that so I tried to wear my own shoes. She was so shocked and worried that I ruined the paint on my toes, oops lol. Then on to mani. I selected package 2, spa manicure for $30. My nails were drying in nail dryer thing for few minutes. Polly came over to check up on it. She told me it was good so I trusted her. I paid and left. Got to my car and noticed that the polish on my fingernails were smearing and already ruined. It didn't even last for 5 minutes! Next time, have to let it dry so much longer. My husband and I came here for a walk-in pedicures and a manicure for myself. All of the technicians were with a customer at the time we walked in so we waited around twenty minutes prior to us being seated which wasn't too bad. The salon was quiet for a Sunday morning with one television on with the volume low. The technician that my husband had for his pedicure did a good job handling his feet. My technician did an average job, she was a bit rough with handling my feet but the pedicure overall went well. I wish I could say the same about my manicure. I was a bedside nurse for a while, so my hands are constantly being washed so my hands tend to be on the drier side with some hangnails here and there. The quality wasn't as great as what I was hoping for yet it was bit less than average. There was some gel polish left on my skin in different places and overall it looked less than good. I came home to fix up my nails, take the hangnails off, and fix the polish left on my skin. Throughout everything, they technicians were nice but I think we will continue to frequent our usual salon. read more

Everyone in the shop is so friendly and it is clean and I love the shows they play and the murals on the walls. I went in with my mom. She was getting a pedicure and I was getting a mani-pedi. We were getting the pedis at the same time but mine took longer to finish because I got the upgraded Pedi service. Anyway, as I was watching the lady do my pedicure, I noticed she wasn't cleaning/cutting the cuticles as much as it needed. She also didn't do a very good job trimming and shaping my toenails. The sides of each toensil should have been cut or trimmed. Anyway, after she was done I got my manicure which wasn't great but it was okay. We were in a rush so I didn't examine my pedicure. Not a fan of this place . Came here for the first time to get a full set and was not happy with the lady that did my nails. Her name was Jenna I believe. She was a little rude, didn't talk at all ( happened to find out her name from it being on a vemo picture on her table) , wasn't friendly or even made me feel welcome. This was a terrible nail experience. It was painful, rough and all-around uncomfortable. I came in looking for a fresh set of dip nails. There was no one in there, so I was sat right away which was convenient. My nails had grown quite a bit underneath so I decided to skip the tips this time. I feel like my technician was not happy with that choice as adding tips adds another $10 to the service. I told her that the reason I didn't want tips and that once she removed the nails she would see the length. She then (without inspecting) insisted that my nails were thin and needed tips. Again I declined politely and said let's just get this set off and look at the length. Generally, the method to take off dip is to soak it off and file it, leaving the nails underneath it longer and stronger. This is the reason I always choose dip. Instead she clipped my nails all the way to the skin with the clippers and then turned them vertical to make cracks in order to take off the smaller pieces. I immediately asked why she didn't soak them off and she said this is faster. Faster, yes. Completely doing the opposite of trying to protect the length of my nails, also yes. I knew her goal was to change my mind about tips once she finished removing them and for a third time said " you want tips now? See there thin and short. " It was so blatantly obvious and I wish I could've left right there. I decided to see it through, and again, declined tips. She seemed annoyed at my choice and rushed through my dip while speaking under her breath. I asked for her name as I was paying with Venmo, she didn't tell me but instead pointed to the QR code with Jenna's name on it. Shows that she wasn't proud of her work, she didn't even want to claim it. She didn't even deserve the tip I gave but I can't not tip someone. I wish I spoke up for myself in the moment or walked out. Now I'm dealing with a super short, ridged, unfinished and uneven set of nails. read more

I came here with my sisters for a pedicure. We've been trying to find a new nail salon, since our regular nail technicians no longer work at the nail salon we go to. This place by far is the worst nail salon I've been to. When we walked in, no one greeted us. I told the lady sitting in the messaging chair that we have an appointment for a few pedicures. First off, there was a used mask on the message remote, my nail technician did not do the callus removal as listed on the pedicure package, the stone rocks was not hot, and no message. This was a total bust and the whole time the nail technicians were talking and one of them kept sniffling with no mask on. We will not be coming back here. In fact, I wait til it's spring or summer season an embarrassingly drag myself into a nail salon while counting on the goodness of people's ratings & review. The barriers I have are costs and attention to details by the nail artist. I would end up asking myself, "It's probably just better doing this at home." I may change my mind here after visiting X-nails. I came in on a weekday in the AM without an appointment. Lana took care of me. She was pleasant, nice. She socialized with me just enough where she asked questions because she wanted to know vs faking being nice. She asked if I wanted gel colors but I said I just wanted the regular polish. She did not try to change my mind and I appreciated that. Process: Lana asked me to pick out the colors I wanted. Then she started on my nails. Detailed, gentle, and attentive. After the nails were done, she helped me grab my purse and we moved to the pedicure station. Massage chairs? Yes, I'll take plenty of them! My feet were soaked in a food spa. She worked on my feet (felt so bad for her). I got a scrub and lotion massage on my legs and feet. She then cleaned them off with a nice warm towel. I never asked the cost but at this point, it crossed my mind that this may be a $40 pedicure, let alone the manicure! When I was done, she moved me to a drying station. She helped me get my purse open and I had to check with her a few times when she told me the total price. "are you sure, Lana? That's for both pedi an One other note, another client had sneakers on and they sent her off with disposable flip flops. I didn't know that. Called in on a Saturday morning to see if they could take my best friend and I in for pedicures. They were the only ones who were available immediately. They had different pedicure packages to choose from. The store itself was super quiet. They had a tv on, but it was very low. So when my BFF and I were talking, I just felt like everyone was listening to our conversation because the seats were right next to each other. During our pedicures, we realize that both ladies were cutting our in grown which we both don't really mess with because it doesn't bother us. After our pedicures, our toes became really sore. Most salons we've gone to, ask if we would like them cut. But this salon, the ladies went right on in without asking. The massage part at the end is also supposed to be one of the best parts to a pedicure, but it was only a rub, no pressure. read more

I did a walk-in for a pedicure around 530pm on a Thursday, and I was seen pretty quickly despite other patrons there. The technicians were friendly. The atmosphere was very quiet. Very affordable prices ($23 for basic pedicure). Overall I was satisfied with how my pedicure turned out, and it lasted about 3 weeks. My only complaints were that they don't massage your legs like other places do, and the assortment of nail polish colors seemed to be lacking. I think I'd rather go somewhere else and pay more money for that full massage, but that's just my preference. read more

I found this salon on Yelp since the nail salon I typically go to was completely booked today and thankfully this salon had availability. Only 3 girls working, not sure if that is the norm or just on Mondays. The salon is clean, masks are mandatory and hand sanitizer is provided for each customer to use. I did not catch any of the girls names but they did a great job. My pedicure was very relaxing and the massage was very soothing. My manicure was done fast and efficiently, which I loved because I don't really like getting manicures but I do it because I don't want my hands to look jacked up. They also had my favorite gel nail polish color. I did a deluxe pedicure ($33) and gel manicure ($28). Slightly cheaper then other salons in the Elk Grove area. Overall experience was 5 out 5! It's a beautiful day out, summer is around the corner but this spring weather is warm enough for shorts! I have an event later today so I figured I'd come in after my morning run to take care of my toes, feet, and legs. The leg massage was just what I needed after a 4 mile run. My technician was nice and courteous. She offered me water while I sat here with this seat massaging my back. Also amazing after a morning run. There's a bit of a language barrier but that's no problem because others in the shop can assist. I have actually been here a few times because it's so close to my home. I use to get my nails done by Jack. He does a good job. He's actually built a great clientele so be sure to schedule your appointment. After my run this morning at about 10am, I actually called to schedule an appointment for 11am and they were very accommodating. The only thing I was a bit concerned with is the cleanliness. I normally don't go to salons that don't cover their pedicure bowls with plastic for sanitary reasons. I'm not sure how they sanitize between clients but I hope it adheres to health and safety regulations. But I needed a pedicure ASAP and wasn't able to find a location close by that does cover their bowls with plastic. Just my two cents. read more
