This is the worst appointment I have ever had in my entire life. The owner was clearly not ready to have an appointment today even though she took my $25 deposit online booking. Her drill wasn't charged her backup drill wasn't working. After I showed up to the salon on time and the salon was closed and she wasn't there and they proceeded to call me and see if I can come back because her drills were not charged. She had asked me if I wanted to come back an hour later I told her no and asked her if she could file my nails manually. She said yes and tried to put new gel, X nails on top of old gel, X without fully filing end or soaking them off, which annoyed me. When I complained and asked her to continue to soak them, she gave me a bit of an attitude, but agreed to do it. I don't think she understood what soaking off meant so then I asked her if she can cut down my nails and start fresh before putting the gel ax on. She agreed to that, and as she starts to put the gel ax on, she realizes that she still doesn't have her drill and that she can't proceed any longer. I quickly got aggravated and told her how unacceptable this was, and she basically turned it on me and said I told you I didn't have my drill and then I pretty much should know because I get my nails done so I asked for my $25 deposit back but she gave me and I walked out with my nails not done cut down nothing on them. She is very unorganized. The salon is not clean. It was freezing in there and quite honestly I think she was high.

What disappointed me most was not the nails themselves, but how the resolution was handled. After discussing the issue directly with the owner, I was left with the understanding that the design would be redone using one of the inspiration designs that had already been submitted. Not a new color nor a newly inspired design. Based on that conversation, I encouraged my daughter to give the salon another chance rather than simply going elsewhere to have the nails corrected since I've been coming here for 7 years. However, when my daughter contacted the salon, the terms of the resolution were different from what had been discussed with me. She was no longer being offered the same fix that had been communicated during our conversation. Had that not been represented as the solution, my daughter would not have contacted the salon again in the first place. At that point, she chose to have another salon correct the work rather than continue the back-and-forth. Customers understand that things happen. What matters is how a business handles them. In this case, the inconsistency between what was discussed and what was ultimately offered left us disappointed. I've included photos so others can review the work and decide for themselves.
