3 stars because the ladies in here are sweet, however never have I ever been charged $20 to have the SAME SALON remove nails that they put on. At the very least, this should be disclosed to customers before starting their nails because this is absolutely not the norm. The most I've ever been charged to have nails removed (and never has it been by the same salon that put them on) is $10 for gel x. But the owner told me she charges min $15 (and this goes for styles even without tips, like SNS). It's unfortunate because this place is next door to my apartment and I was hoping to become a regular customer, but I simply cannot fathom paying a $20 surcharge every time i want my nails done. read more

I always have a good experience with pedicures here. They have a nice range of colors and are clean. I always call to make an appointment because it can get busy, but they do accept walk ins. Sometimes the owner walks by and stands behind the nail techs and that's a little off putting because it takes away from the relaxing experience. I don't get manicures often but when I do they come out great. The place is always clean and there is a parking lot with plenty of spaces. Typically, I don't always review a nail salon right away; to potentially give it at least one more visit -- but this place is two thumbs down! Before getting off work on a Friday, I found this nail salon on a google search. I desperately needed a refill and pedicure. So, it was around 6ish (hour before closing), and I was able to get into the chair immediately. I previously had a overlay (acrylic) and needed another one. Already, how the nail tech was removing my gel nail polish -- I was extremely worried. She finally removes my nail polish and started putting on gel instead of the acrylic. I was confused because I never had it and thought it would be better (BIG NO NO)! I went into the pedicure chair, which was kept really clean and the nail tech was good. She took her time with my feet and was patient. The other nail tech that was working on my fingernails was a hot mess. She filed my nails so CROOKED while receiving a pedicure. Once she was done with my fingernails --I wanted to SCREAM! It was clear that both ladies were ready to leave (because I was the last customer) and I just cried internally! My fingernail(s) chipped and broke off in a few days after I left! Also, they are very pricey for a horrible job. They gave a little back massage after my fingernails were finished -- maybe that's why. No clue! Would not return if I'm ever desperate again. read more

One of my best nail spa I have ever been too. I came across this new spot driving down Kennedy Blvd and wanted to give it a try. The first time I came I decided to do a regular manicure and pedicure. Let me tell you!!!!! Both lasted me forever!! I was so surprised how long my regular manicure lasted me specially since I didn't do gel. I came a second time for a pedicure alone and was still so satisfied by the service received. A pedicure alone is $20 dollars but it's so worth it because it will last you a very long time. One of my favorite parts is when they massage my legs with the hot rocks and when they massage my back while I am drying my nails. It is super relaxing. A big plus for me is that this place is located in a plaza and there's a parking lot. I recently moved to the area and I decided to give this place a go despite the bad reviews. The ladies I've encountered so far are all super polite and chatty. My first experience was with Kim and she was wonderful. I've always had Acrylic nails but she recommended retiring from nasty chemicals and get extensions with gel. She was right. My second time was with Cindy and I'm so happy I found her!!!! She is super quick, knows trendy nail styles/colors and I just knew at that point on Cindy would be THE girl. I'm one of those laid back customer who just sits and says, work your magic and I won't bother you. Whatever nails she performed on me so far, I loved it, still loving it and can't wait to go back already. They offer you a massage at the end but I always refuse because really, I think it's them who needs it not me. It's a lovely salon with pretty decors, and super clean. I've now given this place not one, but two chances and they somehow managed to make my second experience here even more unwelcoming that the first one. I understand people have off days, which is why I returned for a second visit, to give them another chance and to remain unbiased. This place is made up of extremely unprofessional nail techs who body shame, and make you feel both uncomfortable and unwelcome. They had me change my seat a total of five different times to finish my manicure and had three different nail techs to do the job. When I went to put on my shoes the woman grabbed my shoes from my hands and threw them on the chair next to me because she had a customer who had just walked in... my shoes were sandals that could have easily been put on in less than a minute. Customer service is not a word in their dictionary. Steer clear from this place and do your research. There are FAR better nail salons in thwhere you can feel free to relax. read more

I had an absolutely awful experience at this nail salon. I had called the day before to schedule an appointment. I told the lady on the phone what I wanted. I arrived to the salon at my scheduled time. Who seemed to be the owner started with me. I told her what I wanted and she okayed me to death. She then handed me off to another lady who insisted I use the UV gel instead of regular one. My nails were long I just wanted them shorter with regular gel. Then I got my pedicure which I told them I wanted gel as well. They got all mixed up and long story short i was initially told $65 but when I went to pay she charged $100 , I was livid. Not only did I not get the gel polish on my feet, the regular polish was smeared on my two big toes. She said if I wanted gel it would be an extra $40!!!!! I said no. One toe nail was cut slanted just a very sloppy job done in all and the lady said it was extra bc of the UV gel on my hands. I paid her reluctantly because I did not want to argue with her as she didn't want to listen to me. Horrible service!!! I do not recommend this place at all. I'm wondering if it was a racial thing since I am a brown skinned Latina. They truly are sneaky and took advantage of me 100%. Disgusted totally by this experience. If I could give zero stars I would. I normally do not write reviews but I want to save everyone time and money. I came in here because it was close to work. When I tell you, the WORST job I have ever seen. Took an hour and 40 minutes and every nail had something wrong. Uneven, not smooth, bulky looking, and faded polish! I went back the same day to "fix" this and she said "well you can come back Friday when the UV tech is here." First of all, that was 3 days from when I went and you are telling me a professional DIDN'T do my nails!? Are you kidding me??? Then entertaining this, she proceeded to tell me she had no openings that Friday and will "call me". Well, not surprising when she never called. Went here after lookin at places here on yelp and asked for Cindy. She did an amazing job! Took her time to give me a great manicure with gel and fake nail tips. I had an idea of a simple design and she recommended the chrome ($1 each nail) so I said sure! And loved it! She was so understanding when my allergies were acting up and I was coughing here and there that the my gave me some Korean candy to keep my throats moist THANK YOU for that! Great service but wayyyy too expensive. I spent $170 for spa gel pedicure and $10 extra for French on my toes that was $90 for a pedicure and $80 for new full set gel tips (almond shaped). Expensive as hell for no reason. They charge you $15 just for using their pedicure seat massager which in any other nail salon is free. And if you chose a certain kind of nails polish which they consider "elite" that's another $5 charge. I'm only giving them one star because, yes, the place is very nice and the chairs and equipment are brand new and very well kept. My boyfriend and I went for manicures and pedicures and I spent about $140 there for his PLAIN REGULAR manicure and pedicure and my gel manicure and regular pedicure. When questioned about their advertised prices on the wall versus the charges they would only say "special nail polish extra, massage extra" over and over. Any other place I pay $80-$90 with tip for both of us... customers shouldn't be paying for the extravagant electric fountain by your entrance but for your service, and I don't mean a chair massage. read more

They are good nail technicians but the wait is unbearable. Even with an appointment I had wait over 30 minutes. Then they did my pedicure and put me under an extremely cold dryer for another 30+ minutes to wait for my manicure. The organization in this place is lacking. Tip for the establishment: don't accept appointments if you can't follow them or don't take walk-ins if you are overloaded with appointments. There was another group of people who had appointments before me that were upset and complaining about the same issue. It's absolutely unprofessional and not worth it to come here for just "ok" technicians. A mani pedi should not take 2+ hours. read more

I was thoroughly pleased with the plastic in the pedicure sinks as most places in Hudson County do not practice basic great hygiene at nail salons. The ladies were pleasant, polite and welcoming. The massage chairs were functioning, many salons in Hudson County have broken massage chairs! I was very pleased with the cleanliness and service. I will definitely go back again. I've been coming here for years since they pretty much opened and it sucks that I have to write this yelp review and take away stars. If you suffer from ingrown toenails BE VERY CAREFUL WHO DOES YOUR PEDICURES. i've never had a huge issue until recently when one of the technicians did my toes and ended up going too deep to clean. At first, I realized she nicked me but it didn't hurt until I waited about two weeks to go again and had this pain in the same area she had nicked before. I went to get another pedi and she was able to give me quick relief as she said i had a "piece of skin that had hardened". Coincidently she did my following two pedicures after that and I just thought "hey maybe she knows how to really give a good pedi". It wasn't until my most recent pedi where Joanna(who has also done my toes in past) told me that the previous tech must've cut too deep. My ingrown is def infected now and i'm pissed that it came to this. If you decide to get a pedi, make sure it's either by Maria or Joanna. There's another tech who does good pedicures but I can't remember her name. I believe it's Elise and she has long black hair, petite girl. Other than that.. HARD NO for anybody else. including the owner if she starts to cut and file your nails to get you started. read more

I'm not sure why the reviews on this place are so great but me and my friend went there yesterday to get gel tips and gel pedicures. To start off no one spoke English and understood what we were saying for as far as what we wanted. My pedicure came out okay the Foot & Leg massage was nice. But when we got up to doing the acrylic tips I specifically showed them a picture and I said okay no problem as far as the length and the shape I wanted. So we start getting the nails done by putting on the tips before the gel and the lady asked if it was okay before she cut it and I said no it's too short and she went and cut them too short anyway so I had her redo the tips that I told her I didn't like to begin with. Then apparently I must have Godzilla hands because they didn't have a big enough to fit in my thumbs. And they were arguing with me that the nail tips would be too long and that they would break so I need to have them shorter, this is the first place that argues the length of nails. And in between every moment the lady was coming over to me with the calculator and saying that the total was okay. And my friend got fed up and just decide on clear nail polish because apparently they don't know what a fucking dolphin is even know they have a nail design on there board with a beach scene with a dolphin. So I was in there about 3 hours for just a tip set and a pedicure. And I showed them the coupon on here ...which on the wall the price is $50 and 50% of $50 would have been 25 and she argued with me that the normal price was $100 and $50 would be the cost. And I wouldn't have bitched so much about the cost if I got good service and gotten weird looks every time me and my friend ask how much something costs they kept saying oh well that's more money, that's more money and we were basically saying we don't care about the cost just as long as we get what we want. And my friend wanted some 3D nail art on her nails and they didn't even know what that was basically long story short the person doing her nails did whatever she wanted and my friend and I left off pretty pissed off I'm including a picture of what I wanted from the internet and what I got ***And by the way, they charged me $45 for the gel pedicure $50 for the gel tips and $10 extra because it was a French manicure Style so that came out to whooping total of $105 and I gave them a $10 tip even after all the drama because I'm just not one not to leave a tip*** read more

Im not one to write reviews, My mom and I LOVED this place when we first started coming. We felt very welcomed and the service was great. They have an AWESOME rewards program. The reason im only giving it two stars is because the service did not keep up like it did when we first started coming here. The owner is EXTREMELY pushy. My mom has always had UV Gel extensions and on two different occasions she has gone in to get a new fill on her UV gel extensions and they have completely cut off her nails and basically took off the extensions because they "misunderstood" thinking she wanted just gel polish on her real nails. The way I see it is, they "misunderstand" so you can pay for a whole new set. As for my experience i LOVED rebekah she truly never disappointed. I did my UV gel extension filling with another lady and she completely ruined my nails two broke off a week later. Recently i called to make an appointment with Rebekah and she was not going to be in for 2 months and the person I spoke to which was most likely the owner kept pushing me get my nails done with someone else and i refused because of my past experience. Finding a good nail salon is like finding a good dentist..you can't just walk into any one of them and expect it to be a great experience. You need to do your research. Given that this place received good reviews, I made an appointment for my mom and myself to get pedicures after visiting my sister at Avalon. When we walked in, the owner told one of the Korean ladies that she needs to do a pedicure because everyone else was busy. This lady made it known to the whole universe how unhappy she was about this situation. Ok I get it, washing feet is beneath you and you don't want to do it. I clearly spoke Korean to her so she knows I can understand what she's saying. The entire time she was doing my pedicure she was complaining to the worker next to her how much her back hurt and how this was her third pedicure of the day. SHE WAS PISSED. She made me feel so uncomfortable to the point that I told her nicely that I would wait for the next available person if she was in such agony but she said SHE WAS FINE. Clearly she was not. The best part of a pedicure- foot, leg, and shoulder massage never came...She touched my legs and feet as if I have leprosy. I initially asked if I could get a manicure as well but I had changed my mind by the time the pedicure was over. When I told her I didn't want the manicure she just walked away saying "oh, ok bye." The owner didn't even seem to give two shits about it. She simply said, hope it doesn't happen next time What next time? Girl bye! First time I've been here. I chose this place because it's not too far from where I just moved to. Not the most welcoming attitudes when you come in. The girl i got didn't say much, she was a bit rough as well. She dug into my toenail and it hurt and she didn't even acknowledge it or apologize.
