Very expensive and wouldn't say I was particularly impressed with the service. Charged me $5 extra because I didn't like the color I originally picked and picked a different one instead. I've been to countless nail salons where they would show me different shades and how they would look on my nails. Also, Donista pushed my cuticles way too far back on my thumb, and I experienced a Prices are misleading. I booked it on Vagaro, and it indicated a Russian manicure with hard gel would be $115. When I sat down and mentioned I wanted a hard gel, Donista said it would be $130 instead. Don't think I'll be returning. read more

I've been testing out different Russian Manicure spots over the last few months and this one might be my new go-to. The quality of work and selection of colors for $85 is truly a deal. Though the location is in a bit of a weird spot (you'll have to go into a small entrance and up an extremely tiny elevator) once you're in here the vibe is peaceful and welcoming. I was greeted by the front desk attendant who let my nail tech know I'd arrived. We sat down and she asked what I wanted to do, I told her I really needed to go a bit shorter which she was happy to do. The selection of colors here was a bit overwhelming, but I found a nice light pink shape I liked. The appointment was relatively painless and lasted about an hour and a half. They didn't charge me for gel removal which made me very happy. All in all, great experience. I will be back! read more

I've been coming to Russian Nails for a few months and had always had a good experience--until this past Saturday. Unfortunately, this visit was painful, unprofessional, and disappointing. During my manicure, the nail tech cut me multiple times to the point that I was bleeding. When I told her it hurt, she just said "ok" and continued without acknowledging the issue. Her demeanor became defensive, and she sent me to wash my hands three times in the middle of the service for no apparent reason. At the end, I politely mentioned to the manager that it had been a painful experience. Rather than showing concern or apologizing, she dismissed it by saying, "Some people have very sensitive cuticles. I'll put it in your profile for the nail tech to be gentle next time." Being cut and bleeding is not a matter of sensitivity--it's a matter of poor technique. And despite all this, I still paid $115 for a manicure I suffered through. I went here to get my first Russian manicure ever! I was impressed by how clean all the equipment was and how careful and methodical Shakhzoda was. I have narrow nails with fairly sensitive skin around my nails, so 90% of the time, I end up with nicked skin after a manicure. So I was shocked to see that she could remove my cuticles so cleanly and painlessly. I opted for a more neutral base with a gold arch on each nail. With neutrals, I often end up with a color that is weirdly too dark or too light for my skin tone, but the team did a great job at helping me pick out a neutral that was right for me. However, I had a frustrating experience with the pricing for the design. When I asked Luda how much it would cost, she told me "$5." I was surprised and asked if that was per nail or for the whole thing--she said for the whole thing. Based on that, I agreed. When I went to pay, I was told the design was actually $45. I explained that Luda had told me $5, they called her over, and she denied saying it and they gave me $5 off. It was likely just a miscommunication and no one's fault, but I likely wouldn't have gotten the design had I known the real price. Danista strikes again with her beautiful work! My last mani lasted almost 6 weeks. I came in knowing I wanted a vertical line and something eye catching and purple. I gave her some ideas and she did beautiful work. Marta helped to translate and Danista checked in on me throughout the appointment to make sure I liked it and was happy. I used to get Russian manicures regularly, but it is quite difficult to find quality ones for fair prices and with evening availabilities. I am so happy I found this salon! I've been 3 times (saw Valentina once and Lana twice), and I've had a great experience each time! Everyone I've encountered here is super nice and professional, both Valentina and Lana paid great attention to detail and did a fantastic job. The "Russian" gel manicure lasted about 6 weeks (maybe could've lasted longer but i don't like my nails getting too long) and the regular gel lasted about a month. I also love that it isn't impossible to get an evening appointment here, as this is quite a large salon and they have many evening slots.
