When I pointed it out, my concern didn't feel like it was taken seriously. On this visit, I was asked to pay and select a tip before my services were completed. I later noticed other customers paying after their appointments, so it felt uncomfortable to be asked to follow a different process. Since my manicure was already dry and I was still receiving my pedicure, I would have been perfectly able to pay at the end. I will say that in the past I've had pedicures from the Latina technician, I forgot her name, and her work is exceptional. She is thorough, professional, and gives one of the best pedicures I've had. Unfortunately, my last few overall experiences at the salon have not matched that level of service.

It was a hot and humid day, and one of the owners, Michelle, offered me a battery operated hand fan when she noticed I was pregnant since maternity really throws off your hormones levels. Based on the pointing and the other person looking at the design on my cell phone, I could tell Sunny was over her head so I then told her, let's go with the easier design. I should have left at that point and that's why I'm writing this review...how does this place have a 4.0 on yelp?! There were several times I tried to tell her she's not doing a good job. She even made me bleed, look at my terribly red cuticles. My nails look nothing like the requested design. After I told her I don't like what she did she looked confused and tried to give me a hand massage. I told her I don't like this and to take the lotion of my hand I'd like to leave. After paying $70 ($40 for gel, $30 for chrome) she asked for a tip...like wrote the word tip on my receipt and circled it. Wild!

The pedicure wasn't so bad, however I disliked the fact they did not disinfect the tub after use which makes me question whether the one used for myself was clean to begin with. I thought maybe I missed it but another lady finished after me and no one properly cleaned the pedi tub after her. The staff charged me $20 for the acrylic removal, which was ridiculous; I understand that this area is more expensive but $10 seemed more appropriate. Nancy was going to leave it at $10 IF I spent the $60 on the gel mani/pedi. The manicure was mediocre. Donna never soaked my nails as every other salon does (and I've been to many from the east coast to west coast, even internationally), I had to request it. I asked them to leave my nails their current length and Nancy cut them down too short. Nancy kept insisting if I wanted them shorter after I specifically said no. Donna filed my nails rounded square when I asked for square. After washing my hands I had to personally fix the shape and length on some of my nails and file down some of the acrylic left behind from their $20 removal. The paint job was crappy, my boyfriend thought I painted them myself. First time here and last time here. Maybe they treat their regulars great but not their new clients. I wanted to try SNS powder to help bind my nail back together. I was taken in at 4:15pm even though they close at 5! Angela helped me and let me choose my color. I went with a light pink color to be neutral and try it. Angela took her time with my broken nail and saved it! She put this thick gel layer to help and extra SNS powder to ensure strength. She filed, buffed, and made sure my nails were straight and smooth. My total cost was $45. It was a good experience and I felt that Angela was very attentive to detail and took her time with me. When she finished with the powder, it was very light. She even offered me to add an extra layer of gel for extra color but I denied it! She was super nice to offer me this too! The facility is pretty clean. I see that the tools are in baggies that have been sanitized. The only complaint is that they used a purple buffer, looks a bit old but that's fine.
