Wow... just called to ask about making a particular cake with 5 flavors for a group bday party for 5 people. When I described it, the woman (didn't get her name) asked me in somewhat of an incredulous way, "how would we make a cake with 5 flavors" and I chuckled and said in a very friendly way something like, "well, that's why I'm calling you ha ha". She said she would check with the baker and put the phone down (not on hold) to ask, all of which I could hear. So she asked my question, but then went on to share our conversation and my response about how "that's why I'm calling them", in somewhat of a derisive tone, like making fun of the idiot customer that doesn't understand how custom bakeries work. I hung up at that point and tried another local bakery who were much more helpful. UPDATE: Bumped my initial review from one star to two, as she did call me back later to apologize for her rudeness, so an extra star for follow-up, as I appreciated the response. read more

Awful customer service. When try putting an order for custom cake they never replied to the emails. Called twice and both people that talked on the phone were vague and dismissive. On the calls I was trying to get answers and asking how could they help me with the order but no help was offered. At the end of the call when I said: well I'll look for another bakery since I can't get any help, they replied: have a good day! read more

I ordered online to have something delivered on Mother's Day. I received a confirmation text saying they had received my order. When Door Dash went to pick up the order, the store didn't have it. Apparently, the manager is the only who knows how to use the online order system and he/she wasn't in. The order was cancelled and I was left with no gift for Mother's Day. read more

Amazing experience! I found out through Facebook that they make custom cakes. I called them and sent an email to Musarrat on what design my daughter likes. Ahad and Musarrat were very prompt in responding to my requests and queries and even recommended a better cake flavor and filling combination since my initial request would turn out to be too sweet. They were also attentive to every detail I requested. I also requested for additional cupcakes two days before I picked up our cake and they were also able to accomodate this request. Perfect dessert place in the Palladio. A little hidden by the Piazza, but once you find it you'll definitely need to make stops here whenever you're in the area. As opposed to other dessert shops that have their desserts and pastries delivered, everything is made on-site which is awesome. They also serve Temple Coffee so you don't have to make a drive down to Sacramento for a good vanilla latte. Must try items are the almond cake and mango/coconut mousse. Love this beautiful little pastry shop! I am an unabashed aficionado of fine foods and usually very picky. This place is probably the best pastries and desserts you will find anywhere! Their cakes are amazing, moist and delicious. The Mexican cookies are the best I've had anywhere. Same with the Macaroons. Their master pastry chef has it on lock. And their coffee/espresso is amazing also because they use their own chocolates for the mochas and hot chocolates. And the coffee/espresso drink prices are at least a $1 below other third wave coffee shops around! Pretty Sweet did an amazing job creating safari themed cake pops for my drive by baby shower. I submitted a request for a quote online to multiple places in the Sacramento area, and Pretty Sweet got back to me next day with multiple cake pop design options and pricing. I wanted something simple that I could easily place in individual boxes for guests to pick up, and the pops turned out perfect. The cake pops were so moist and delicious, and just melted away in your mouth, a big hit with my family. I ordered about 30 pops, which came to $80. I thought the pricing was very reasonable. When I picked up I was presently surprised when the baker presented my order and let me know that there were some extras included. Times are tough for everybody during this pandemic, but Pretty Sweet didn't let that stop them from providing great customer service and even better treats. Attended the Palladiogras/Yelp event and the Pretty Sweet table was super popular. Tried the salted caramel macaroon, coconut cake, chocolate pudding, and passion fruit dessert - everything tasted great. Stopped by the actual store which is right off the central courtyard- looks like a family own business and was greeted right away. The cakes and macaroons look absolutely delicious. They also serve Temple coffee which is another plus. Will be back soon to pick up some dessert! read more

I came here for the first time recently. This area has multiple dessert places, but because of the higher ratings- I decided on stopping in here. The lady working was incredibly nice and friendly which I appreciate. The dessert options were definitely more for events: special decorated cakes and cupcakes. I would recommend this place more for birthdays/babies/weddings, but not so much for a quick stop. I did order the vanilla cupcake. (I'm a huge cupcake fan by the way.)It was very pretty and fancy. But honestly the taste was just ok. It was on the dryer side and I didn't care for the frosting taste. It looked better than the overall taste. The presentation was perfect but the rest was average. I also ordered Mexican wedding cookies, those were very good. The ambiance was super cute and trendy. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and the location is great. Went here for the first time. Modern casual decor, there are a few tables inside. They're located right in front of the water fountain. I ordered the Tiramisu, Brownie and cookie. Was on travel and this was the nearest bakery to my hotel. Its a small place so you wont find a huge assortment, but they have a good variety for the space they have. I had the almond praline chocolate cake and some macaroons. The cake was light and delicious and the macaroons were super flavorful and fresh. So good I went back the next day for more. everything about the shop was great, the service, the promptness, meeting the head baker and the cake itself was gorgeous! however the three stars is for the taste of the cake. i got lemon with raspberry mousse, and the texture when sticking a fork into the cake was immediately crumbly.(as pictured below) no problem, but then actually tasting it it was like sand in your mouth, and upon asking my guests they agreed that it was dry. i still want to come back and try other flavors and their pastries but it's a shame for the money i spent that it didn't taste as pretty as it looked. perhaps it was just an off day! but still a great shop nonetheless. read more
