I am extremely disappointed writing this review because I have been a repeat customer of Pretty Sweet and have purchased multiple cakes and cupcakes from them over the years. For my son's birthday, I contacted Pretty Sweet about a small custom cake and was quoted $175. Since the cake was much smaller than a cake I had previously ordered from them, I asked questions about the pricing and what went into the quote. I wasn't demanding a discount or refusing to pay, I simply wanted to understand why a relatively small cake was $175. Instead of simply answering my questions, I received an email telling me that, after our conversations and revisions, they felt they "may not be the best fit" for my order and were declining it because they were concerned they couldn't meet my "expectations." I was honestly shocked. I've ordered from this bakery multiple times. I wasn't trying to haggle with them. I was a paying customer asking a completely reasonable question about something I was purchasing. Despite how I was treated, I called because this was for my son's birthday, he specifically loves their cakes, and I was willing to pay the $175. Unfortunately, the phone call only made the experience worse. Danielle was incredibly rude and dismissive. She said everything she wanted to say while I was expected to sit there and listen, but when I tried to explain my side, I did not feel that same courtesy was extended to me. I eventually asked to speak with the owner because I couldn't believe this was how a repeat customer was being treated. After Danielle spoke with the owner, my order was ultimately put back in place, and I DID purchase the $175 cake. I followed through with the order because this was my son's birthday and I wasn't going to let an unpleasant interaction take away from something he was excited about. But that will be my last purchase from Pretty Sweet. It's unfortunate because we genuinely enjoyed their products and I would have happily continued being a customer. But no cake is good enough to justify being made to feel like you're a problem simply because you asked a question about the price. I paid their $175 asking price. They got the sale. But because of the way I was treated, they lost a repeat customer. The cakes may be sweet, but unfortunately, the customer service left an incredibly bitter taste. read more

Pretty Sweet has a nice central location next to the middle plaza so we stumbled upon it after checking out the big Christmas tree. They have such a great variety of desserts, but also drinks! It was hard to decide from everything. They had themed Sanrio drinks, seasonal drinks, and their regular coffee and boba menu. I decided on the honeydew Italian soda. When it came out I was expecting it to have cream on top so I was a bit disappointed. I decided to just ask, the worst they could say is no. He was super nice about it though and added the splash of cream with no problem! It tasted good with the cream and I think it would have been too sweet without it. My husband's mango black tea was way too sweet though, even the color looked like it, so it just tasted like mango syrup. I guess that goes with the name of the place though! Such a cute spot to grab a dessert or a refreshing drink! As soon as I entered I was greeted with a warm welcome and a smile. I was interested in ordering one of the Sanrio drinks but was drawn to the lychee flavor! I gave it a try and it was pretty refreshing. Only thing to note that it is a slush so it's ice based. I came into Pretty Sweet today during Palladio's Halloween event. Around 4:45/5 PM it wasn't busy so my husband and I decided to check it out. The location was small, clean and had an assortment of yummy treats. The most adorable boutique bakery and coffee shop at the Palladio! Stumbled across it after browsing books at Barnes and Noble. The business owner behind the counter is sweet and friendly. I'm impressed my made to order boba was excellent and beat the usual boba shops around town - so you have to try them! They also have a great selection of coffee, tea, and boba, along with scrumptious desserts. There are about 4 bistro type marble tables inside, and more outside across from the garden. Chill vibe, high ceilings, floor to ceiling walls, nice view of the garden, picturesque, thoughtfully decorated with detail, very nice touch, felt boutiquey and European. Just a beautiful space to stop and enjoy a drink and a snack. Husband had Temple coffee, we split a yummy, moist, blueberry scone, and I had delicious taro boba with the perfect amount of chew on their freshly made boba. Not too sweet, either. Will be one of our favorite stores and will be returning regularly. So glad this shop is only a few minutes from our house. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Everything seemed fine, cakes arrived on time and they did look beautiful. As I was serving my cakes they crumbled apart, I couldn't even serve them to the plate. All of my guests took one bit and threw it in the trash. I also threw the entire left overs of the cake away because it was that bad. I felt bad complaining about the cakes. I explained the situation only for them to reply with a quick sorry and blame me for how I stored them. They said if I store them in the fridge it crumbles like that. I replayed that they were never in the fridge and left out at room temperature. I got no response after that. They do not care one bit. Exquisitely hand decorated sweet treats As I mentioned in my PalladiGras review, I used my $10 gift card from our Yelp charity event (and my hubby's card too) at this store. The sweet shoppe is located right next to the plaza at the Palladio in Folsom. Pretty Sweet was one of the vendors at the PalladiGras and the samplings of macarons, blueberry muffin, chocolate and vanilla flavored mousse and cupcakes were amazingly delicious. I kept coming back to this table more often than the other vendors. My teen and I returned this week and purchased some macarons. We walked inside to see colorful beautifully made sweet creations. Pretty Sweet creates delicious, hand-crafted cakes, cupcakes and cookies. My teen was fixated on the macarons and we got one flavor each of our favorites including: Pistachio, Salted Caramel, Toasted Coconut, Almond Praline, Cookies & Cream, and Lemon Curd. We enjoyed every bite of our soft, delicious, flavorful macarons. Satisfied our sweet tooth cravings for sure. The macarons were $2/ea or a dozen for $20. They also do custom made - personalized treats for weddings, party or corporate events. The cakes on display were beautifully made. Service was great.
