I went to Prettyology because the reviews . I picked Jackie suppose to be the "most experience " and of course the most expensive. I got a pigment on my eyebrows 10 years ago in Newton. When I went there for consultation and service Jackie said it will take like 3 sessions to remove the old pigment; so far I already spent "$1600 between 4 services and tips, the pigment still there. Jackie said the 2 first session was with an old technique that cost me $800 , but she said now she will use a new technique " I couldn't believe it she made me waste my money with a service didn't work and it was painful; one time I need it to bring my own medical grade anesthetic ( I'm in the medical Bussinees) because their anesthetic is weak. I wrote an email to Jackie and the Managment office about my concerns. My email never was answered it; after waiting 6 days I decided to call them, no answer until finally the manager said Jackie will call me , Jackie never called me , after waiting another 4 more days I decided to call them again; they said they will return my call after waiting for more days finally Lisa, the owner, call me said they can not tell me how much longer will take to remove the pigment, very different from I was told on my consultation, they can give a $100 discount ( after spending $1600 and NO results) , Lisa told me they don't have a medical Director to carry powerful anesthetic. I already spent $1600 and maybe another $1000 to keep removing the pigment and then pay for Microbladding fee total will more than $3000 for Microbladding , Outrageous!!! DON'T WASTE your time and money with Prettyology!!! read more

I am obsessed with my eyebrows. I have a small scar on my left eyebrow right where it should begin above the inside corner of my eye, so no hair will grow there. My eyebrows have also always been significantly lighter than my hair color - weird. I have tried a bunch of products, and I was never happy. My brows have an okay natural shape, but I really wanted some professional help - no more nail salon multi-taskers - I needed the real deal. SO, I was complaining about said eyebrows to my hairdresser* one day, and she said "You have to go see Shalyn at Prettyology! She's the best!" And she was so right. I finally went last night, and I am so happy. The location is a little hard to find - there's a door in-between two shops on Newbury - I think Anne Taylor is on the right. Once you know where it is, it's super easy to get to - just a few doors down from the Common. Take the elevator up to the 5th floor, and Prettyology is... pretty! It's sunny and bright. The receptionist was incredibly friendly and sweet. The waiting area is comfy and has a view of Newbury Street. Now to the really important part - Shalyn is really sweet and I immediately trusted that she knew what she was doing. She tinted my brows and gave me a great shape without hurting my sensitive skin, and she did it in about 20 minutes, maybe 30 tops. I am SO HAPPY. *My hairdresser is also the best! If I could give more stars to this place, I certainly would. It truly is the premier permanent make-up destination in Boston. Everything from the time you book the appointment to atmosphere, to the actual quality of work Julie Michaud, the owner, and her great staff is stellar. My mother (in her early 60s) thought long and hard about getting her brows permanently tattoed. It's a scary step for a novice, since it's such a prominent feature on your face, and I have to say Julie was so ever patient explaining every step, working with mom on the shape, color...She is definitely an artist and takes her time to make a client feel at ease. To make sure she understands the process, we had an opportunity to sneak peak at Wendy who was working on a bride-to-be next to mom. I was truly impressed at how natural and meticulously Wendy applied the strokes. The future bride left, shining, like a new penny. Also, a few words about the front desk staff. Rachel was so friendly and so accommodating on the phone with me, and so professional. Mom was traveling shortly after procedure and we had to move the follow-up and she graciously gave mom that opportunity. To sum it up, it was a great experience and we highly recommend Prettyology to those who want a high-quality service. You do definitely do get your money's worth. It's been 30 days since I had my eyebrows done with shayln. She free draw instead of using a ruler like u see everywhere on social media and let's you get up n look in the mirror. Now that my brows are healing I notice a touchup is much needed and glad it was included. Im not sure if it's my eyes from constantly starring at my eyebrows but I See flaws. I've written them down for my touch up in 2 weeks to have them corrected. My eyebrows are not extremely perfect but they looks close enough. I'm not sure if she even uses a ruler for exact measurements bc I have not asked but if u want that I would call and asks first before making an appt bc they charge half the price for making the appt. I'll update my review after the touch up and some healing time. read more

Gina is so talented! I've spent years insecure about my brows and would not leave the house without drawing them on. I did my research and discovered prettyology and their Microblading treatment. As soon as I met Gina, she put me at ease with her warn and friendly personality. She spends the time with you to explain the procedure and is a perfectionist at her craft. She would not send me off until she was satisfied that my brows were perfect! She makes you feel comfortable, encourages questions and works with you to make sure you are satisfied with the shape and color. Sheena is wonderful! Had my first set of eyelash extensions done today and they look amazing! I'm so happy with the results that I even joined Yelp to write this review. Usually I'm low maintenance (some may say lazy) when it comes to my beauty routine, but one thing I've always wished for is long and thick eyelashes. Because it was my first time trying anything like this and I was a bit nervous, Sheena recommended a more conservative approach. The result is eyelashes that are now longer, darker, thicker and still natural looking. I look and feel fantastic! I could not be happier and would 100% recommend this. Finally after waiting which seem like forever I got an appt for microbladding and I couldn't be any happier with my brows. I decided to go with Shayln bc of the reviews she gotten and her social media page. It hasn't been 24 hours and I have received so many compliments and my brows are not healed yet. She was very gentle and made sure i was happy with my brows drawing before she work her magic. I go back in 30 days to get my touchups if I need any. She is the fairy brow godmother! The only thing I can complain about is that nobody really answer the phone. I've called many times but always got vm no mater what time of the day but I'd eventually got thru for an appt. read more

From the moment I walked into the building I instantly felt comfortable. Everyone I spoke with was so nice and welcoming. I had my eyebrows microbladed with Gina and I couldn't be any happier. Prior to this appointment I had never even had my eyebrows waxed, so to say I was nervous for microblading was an understatement. The second I sat in the chair I felt at ease. I can not stop staring at my eyebrows! After doing lots of research on micro pigmentation I decided to go with Prettyology based on all their positive reviews and those reviews couldn't be more accurate! The reception staff was genuinely friendly and the establishment itself was very tranquil and clean. Shaylyn did my eyebrows and was very knowledgable, professional, and sweet! She spent at least 45 minutes perfecting them! I couldn't be happier! Yes it is quite pricey but for the level of expertise it is worth every penny. I have very sensitive skin and get eczema around my eyes so wanted to limit makeup/remover use. Both Julie and Elicia have done my eyeliner and eyebrows (micropigmentation/microblading.). Every visit, they prove to me they have the ability and talent to shape my brows in the exact form I ask. They're attentive and understanding when I explain my needs, the most importance quality in someone that shapes your brows.
