Ordered a tuna sub. Large was enormous and delicious. Fantastic value at $10.50. So big I got two lunches out of it. Highly recommended!

This marketplace has a wide array of delicious fresh foods, both prepared and ready for you to cook…read morein your own home. First of all, they have a fabulous hot lunch bar that closes at 2 o'clock. I am always cognizant of when the clock will strike too because I always think if I wanna eat some food there I better get myself to Previte's Marketplace lickety split. The marketplace shares a building with a bakery that I will review separately. The marketplace and the bakery are separate businesses under separate ownership and management. There is a common area sort of like wide hallway in between the bakery and Previte's Marketplace with several tables at which patrons may sit and eat whatever they have purchased from either of these two businesses. As for Previte's Marketplace, there are typically lines of people waiting to get a fresh hot lunch that might include fresh, sliced turkey, meat, stuffing, mashed potatoes, delicious gravy, and more. over there right away. I'm focusing on this delicious Thanksgiving like spread that's available year-round because it's one of my absolute favorite things to eat at Previte's Marketplace. The marketplace has all different kinds of meat and other protein, including red meat, poultry, lamb,, pork, and veal and more. Proves marketplace has skilled butchers ready to cut the meat to your liking. Previte's Marketplace also has a multitude of prepared entrées ready for you to take home to serve to your family and friends or to bring to any social gathering. Such choices include cocktail, meatballs, and sauce, chicken, Parmesan, meat, and cheese, lasagna, and much more. They also have quiches and salads and more. Previte's Marketplace also has a full scale catering service that is available. Although I have not tried using their catering the service, I cannot imagine that the food would be any less wonderful at a catered affair than it is being carried out by oneself for lunch or dinner. By the way, there are a couple of tables just outside of the marketplace, but still inside the building in which Previte's Marketplace is housed. I frequently get my lunch there and of course, most often I get the turkey stuffing and mashed potato plate. By the way, they also make turkey stuffing and cranberry sauce submarine sandwiches. Absolutely delicious but very messy so get plenty of napkins! The only negative thing about this location is the actual location itself: it's on a very busy road with very limited parking, although there are some parking spots across the street. Be very careful when you cross the road! I highly recommend Previte's Marketplace. See my review of Previte's Marketplace in Hanover as well!

Great selection of prepped food. You can also check their daily specials on FB. The beef stew is…read moreout of this world! Every time I go in, I find more than I planned for or really need, but it seems like I really need- meals, meats, seafood, a decent grocery section and some specialty breads. The line for lunchtime sammies and specials can be a little daunting sometimes but the staff works to keep things moving along, getting food prepared and in the right waiting hands as quickly as possible. Speaking of the staff, in my experience they're helpful, professional and personable, without exception. This, the (original) Weymouth store is small but mighty! They know their stuff so ask your questions and they do their best to answer!

Shocked and taken back I just took my groceries and left but first took a photo of the spot where it happened! I walked out thinking that they did not apologize or give an explanation or even see if another cashier might have Pennie's! Can one imagine if this has been going on to EVERY CUSTOMER THE BENEFIT TO WHOLE FOODS ITS MAKING! All those Pennie's add up to actual dollars. I'm still very upset that the cashier did not nicely say " IS IT OK THAT I DON'T HAVE PENNIES TO RETURN TO YOU", Then I would understand and check my pockets to give her my spare Pennie's to ask for a nickel or dime! Give me the option to say it's OK! Signage should be POSTED TO INFORM CUSTOMERS! Yes this place in Hingham is Pricey, it's not a secret but this policy should be known! I will not give a better rating at this time! ITS THE PRINCIPLE AND NOT THE PENNY!

It's a smaller Whole Foods but I have never had any issues with finding what I need. I love getting their bakery goods, such as their cakes! Cannot go wrong with any of their cakes to be honest & my favorite has to be the berry Chantilly cake. And actually, their coffee is quite good! My go-to has been the honey vanilla iced latte. Their hot foods section is tasty & great for quick lunch option... love their soups, especially their clam chowder. If you enjoy steak, you must try the steaks from Whole Foods!

Hilliards Candy is that South Shore stalwart that you may have forgotten until you really need it!…read moreIt's been in the area for, well, forever! and for my family at least, it's been bringing sweet treats for about 40 years. A few years ago the store moved from the cramped space in Norwell at Assinippi Corners to a fresh, larger building right at Queen Anne Corner on Rt. 53, across from Alfredo Aiello. It manages to have to same cozy feeling as the old store when you walk in and are surrounded by whatever seasonal chocolates are displayed, plus the cases full of chocolates, truffles, jelly beans, foil-wrapped chocolates - everything! It's a given that the big holidays - Christmas, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day - have everything and everything you could want to make a sweet tooth happy. I've spent many visits to Hilliards picking up waaaay too much candy for big holidays as well as the smaller ones (St. Patrick's Day, Fourth of July, Halloween) because "I need to bring candy to work!" More like, "I need to bring candy home!" Displays are fresh and full, the prices won't make you blink- think delicious without breaking the bank - and the staff is low key helpful rather than hard sell. I especially like that since I like to roam around, walking the hardwood floor, shopping the one-for method: one for you, one for me. One for you, one for . . . well you get it! Lots of parking in the back of the building, so look past the teeny 3-space area in front and just follow the arrows to the back door-and sometimes there're samples!

Overall, I do like this particular Big Y. I've shopped every iteration of the store- from Victory…read moreto Hannaford to Big Y and I have to say Victory was my favorite. The reasons why I liked Victory are the reasons I like the store these days. It's the only "grocery store" I've come across that carries the occasional locally grown produce, and I will shop that Produce department hard until I find where they're hiding those delicious farm-grown tomatoes. Victory used to carry a great selection of grown local produce. But other than tomatoes? It's a trip out to Bridgewater or somewhere else on the edge of the world to find a farm stand. Their rotisserie chicken is pretty tasty, but . . . I have to admit, I lived on Victory's rotisserie chicken all one summer while they carried a Korean BBQ flavor. A little variety here might be nice, just sayin'. I'm not going through every department but, it's especially irksome to consistently get 90% of my shopping list filled here and still have to go to S&S for my cat's preferred brand of litter- it's just not carried here. However, the employees are friendly, so very normal without dragging their personal idiosyncrasies into work for everyone to deal with ( I'm thinking of you, S&S) and if something goes wrong as it did for me this week, the employees will fix it and make it right. And the biggest thing that always stands out for me is that of all the employees I've made chit chat with over the years, people seem to long-time workers and most important of all they speak of how much they like working here. That goes a long way for me when customer-facing workers say that. So it's no Victory and I still have to roundup the loose ends of my shopping lists elsewhere but I like it! The store is clean; no surprises, no giant wins but no giant losses, either. Steady. Almost forgot the donuts! I haven't eaten a donut in 10 years until lately, and they're only from here! Hey, Mr. Big Y, could you just consider carrying Baskin Robbin's ice cream? Do us a solid and save me a trek over to S&S Norwell!

I think his name "Dave" and he is a manager. By far, the best customer service experience I've had. He is attentive to individual needs as he muti tasks from the front service desk to bagging. He is out in the parking lot collecting carriages!! He is patient with less than tech savvy shoppers. The store is ok, the customer service is beyond compare.
