FIVE STARS FOR THE FLORAL DEPARTMENT!! I live in California, and on Wednesday, May 29th, I brought my dad's ashes to bury in the Louisburg "old" cemetery. However, I didn't have any flowers. Price Chopper is two minutes away from the cemetery. I barely had five minutes to make a selection, but immediately an associate was at hand to assist me. She recommended an orange rose mixed bouquet called "Carribean Sunrise", a spray of red roses, and a red-white-and-blue Memorial Day arrangement with a flag included. One of my relatives suggested I save a red rose, blue flower and baby's breath, plus an orange rose to hang upside-down to dry, for a keepsake. As I would be in town for two more days, I put the arrangement in water. I was delighted at how well the flowers held up, losing no petals or leaves in the meantime. Two days later, they were then bundled in damp kleenex inside a plastic bag, and packed into the outside pocket of my carry-on luggage next to two frozen packaged dinners that I hadn't eaten. At my Los Angeles hotel, I put them in water again, noting that no leaves or petals had been lost. Two days later, I packed them tnto an open carry bag inside a wet kleenex and plastic bag, and made a 15 hour trip home by car, in the heat, including three long visits. Again, when I packed them earlier that morning, I noticed that no petals or leaves had been lost. I arrived at home at 2:30 a.m. on a Sunday night, unpacked the flowers, and was shocked that still no petals or leaves had been lost. I taped them to the bannister on my porch, but the tape didn't hold, and they fell to the ground. ONE ORANGE PETAL fell off the orange rose. The flowers were no fewer than five days old, and only one petal was lost, after a hot, exhausting, rigorous trip. They are now on my wall, drying upside down, and no more petals have been lost. If ever flowers were put to a test of endurance and resilience, this was the time. Do not shop at this bakery unless you want out of date products! Bought Hawaiian rolls there about a month ago. The package said they were going out of date in a week, yet when I got home and opened the package there was mold! I returned the rolls for a new package, this time I examined the rolls thoroughly in the store, and they were moldy too! That same trip, I looked around the desserts and came across THREE more products that were out of date! And that was just skimming though one table. Today, I went there to buy some cookies and the package read they went out of date two days ago! For gods sake check your dates people. Too many times to be a coincidence. I'm done with that place. read more

I'm sure this is a fine store, but get your hours right. When someone wants to pick up something after 11 PM and yelp says midnight, it's a pretty shitty realization when you're actually closed. Yelp and Price chopper could do better. read more

I like the good selection (compared to smaller Price Choppers), the wide and clean aisles, the good prices (if you watch the ads) and the fast checkout. Very nice! read more

Every time I walk into this store, it is always clean and the shelves are neatly stocked. The neighborhood and area is in a nice and well lit part of Leawood, Kansas. The cashiers are friendly and items can be found easily, while shopping. The last few times I've been here it was late in the evening, so there's usually a couple of cashiers at the registers and someone behind the customer service desk. This location has several self checkout registers, as well. read more

My friend decided to give Price Chopper's Thanksgiving dinner a try for our small friendsgiving gathering. She got a turkey, 3 sides (stuffing, green beans, macaroni and cheese), mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberry sauce, rolls, and a dessert. It feeds 8-10 people and was just a tad over $100. We all decided to just split the price between the 8 people that attended. My friend told me she hopes it'll taste okay but it was so much easier than preparing a meal all day. That meal was absolutely delicious! I enjoyed every bite of it. I am glad she decided to give it a try. It also seemed like the perfect amount of food so there weren't tons of leftovers. We will definitely keep this in mind again next year! read more

While visiting a friend on a quick vacation, we stopped in to get provisions. Holy gluten free options batman! This place has so many gluten free options its impressive. I live within a 10-minute drive of two Hen Houses, a Price Chopper, a Hy-Vee, and a Target. Of those, this Price Chopper is our absolute favorite place. Here's why: 1) The deli department is on point! We've never had an issue with their deli department at all, and one of the deli counter employees actually helped us even though he was closed. He didn't say a thing to us (we had no clue), and we can't be more thankful! (Try the Salami - you'll thank me later) 2) The prices are competitive, and we feel like we can get a good value for what we find there. 3) The meat counter is also very awesome. Amazingly enough, we have yet to buy a bad cut of meat from them. I can't say that about the other stores in the area. 4) It has some products that not all other stores have, such as All Dressed chips. Bonus! Now, the not so good. We still go to this store, but we don't buy everything from there anymore. 1) The produce department is really, really below par. We bought a bag of onions, and within two days they were bad. We returned it (no apology given) and picked up a new one. Within two days it had already sprouted. It's not just onion though. Raspberries will be moldy within a day, and you have to really watch the date on bagged salads. 2) The bakery is fine but not really that great. I went to Price Chopper for a cake and overheard the workers actually tell a customer that he would find better bakery items at Hen House! I don't think I even bought the cake from them. 3) Lastly, the order of the store takes some getting used to. For example, bread is by produce. I'm not complaining necessarily, but it's not always the most intuitive layout. read more

I have to say that this is not my regular Price Chopper, but when I'm in the area, I will stop in. Their staff generally seems to be friendly and the store seems clean. My major complaint is that I feel that it has a very poor layout. I never feel like there is an efficient way to shop the store. The items seem to be in an odd order and because of a couple of randomly placed aisles, you have to backtrack to get to all areas. read more

Price Chopper is my grocery chain of choice, but the one closest to me is very small. Then I found this monster of a store. I kinda felt like I was a kid in a candy store. I'm one of those people that want to go to one store and find everything I need. This is that store. The prices are a little high but I think I'll still drive a little farther to have the convenience of only having to stop once. Now if any grocery store could just have a good strawberry salad dressing, I'd be hooked for sure! read more

The prices are the highest of any other Price Chopper.in the area I know this is a McKeever"s owned store and is convenient for me but like I said their prices are anywhere from 25cents to a dollar more on items. I usually end up going to the Cosentinos on 119th or even to the one on 95th and Mission as they have all I want at reasonable prices. read more

We love this place! There are so many great things about this store that I am thankful for. From the smile on every employee's face and great prices, to the Price Chopper card rewards and great sales that they have, Price Chopper is our go to grocery store. We take advantage of the fuel rewards program that they have available, and we also have our Chopper card linked to money saving apps such as Ibotta and SavingStar to take advantage of other great cash back opportunities. The layout makes it a great store for a quick grocery run to grab donuts or a couple of missing ingredients, or to perform your full weekly shop. We used to do most of our shopping at Walmart but have recently switched to Price Chopper due to how good our experiences have been there.
