Horrible customer service. The man actually yelled at me when I returned photos that he printed because they all had a pink color to them. He said he was so busy and behind like that would excuse the awful product he gave me. He never even acknowledged that he had made a mistake. His wife did do a nice job restoring my antique family photos but his behavior was inexcusable. read more

In the early 1980s, my parents made the terrible decision to buy a Polaroid Polavision video camera. Similar to super-8mm, the films came in self-developing cassettes that were only playable on a purpose-built Polavision viewer. Within a few years, the format was discontinued. Unfortunately, the only eight home movies that my family owns were on those cassettes. Rob was not only familiar with the obscure format, but he had digitized some before. He took the time to explain the process to me, which involved opening the cases and splicing the films onto standard 8mm reels. Despite the extra work, the turnaround was only a little over a week, and he delivered the files on a playable DVD as well as on the cloud, and he handed me back the original films and boxes. I met Rob Hoffman who spoke at local library on subject of how to preserve , organize & archive family photos and home videos. I had old slides from my parents back to the 1950's as well as video movies starting from 1990 of my children and no longer had a VHS player to watch them. I had rob convert them from vhs to dvd and create digital files. When i picked them up and started watching them i immediately noticed our family name in the title on all the disks and in the accompanying paper "finding index" was misspelled.there was a huge amount of names/data misspelled. Additionally i am experiencing issues in which at least 2 of the 10 dvd's cannot be viewed. I get some kind of error message. I spent $1000 for this project. Rob is a nice person , seems to know what he's doing. However I find now that now that i need some of the work mistakes edited and fixed, he is Extremely slow and unreliable. I was promised the first batch to be edited in a month now its been 3 months and im still waiting. he has had them since 1st week of september. I'd recommend only giving him chunks of project and once you are happy with that moving on to the next piece. Im disapointed he responds so slow because a month after i watch an old family video and you finally gets to discuss the needed editing its no longer fresh inyour memory making the process frustrating. read more
