My car according to Kelly had a $9700 in fair to good condition and they offered me $5500 with the 130%. My car is in good shape and had other dealers offer me $8500. Not a huge fan. I went in for a recall and had a few other things looked at. It took four hours to "diagnose" those and other areas I never asked about. And said it would cost $2600. I went next door to pride Hyundai for my car inspection, and was equally impressed by the service there (and by the other service manager, also Greg). Terrible experience. Complete let down. Condescending salesman who seemed to be put out because I was interrupting his lunch. Basically told me I couldn't afford a Tahoe. Didn't even offer me a test drive. Will never step foot in there again not even for service. Went over to Liberty Chevrolet in Wakefield and received the most amazing treatment from the entire staff including Cheryl who answered my first call to my salesman Carlton and then to the owner John Anzalone who was such a gentleman! After paying cash for my vehicle, entirely up front I was then given the run around for about a week and a half about the title to my car not being in their possession, after they had already taken my money. this, it is my understanding is a fairly common occurrence at this dealership, according to a friend of mine who works with the dealership fairly often. this alone is an excusable offense I suppose, however I brought my car in for some issues I noticed shortly after purchasing the vehicle, and it was kept for an egregiously long amount of time, I believe the idea behind this action was to ride out the remaining days in my thirty day warranty, so that any further issues I have with the vehicle will not be their problem. cavalier sales staff, shifty managers, this place is bad news. read more

I had a very uncomfortable phone conversation earlier with a sales rep I met and spoke with over the weekend. I had been calling his office # since early morn and couldn't reach him so I decided to call his mobile. I simple had a question; started convo pleasantly, he greeted me like he remembered who I was (great! I was shocked, this would things easier). However, once I voiced my concern he immediately switched his attitude as if I was being a bother and making a big deal out of nothing. Basically, after I left their office I got notice from my credit reporting company that there was a hard inquiry on my record and my score dropped. He did previously inform me (which he repeated multiple times during the call along with "it's only a couple points" and it will only be on my record for about "6 month") that they would do a soft inquiry but that I wouldn't be affected. But the opposite happened so obviously I was confused and concerned (I wanted to know why, if it was a mistake, and how can it be fixed) because which is it sir, your information is contradicting. I told him I was going to check with my credit reporting company and he hung after, no pleasantries (which is fine but just further proved to me he was being a dismissive jerk about it). Either way, convo left me feeling some type of way so here I am "voicing" my experience with a Pride Chevrolet rep. My 4th car from Pride, the other three were from Pride Hyundai. Went to Pride Chevrolet to buy a used truck. Always had great service at Pride Hyundai but forget Pride Chevrolet, I gave them 10 grand "cash" to start putting on the side steps and a hard roll up bed cover. After a week they said I had to pay for the whole truck for them to start putting on the options I ordered, why it took a week to tell me, I have no idea and the 10 grand should have gotten the ball rolling on the truck. They they ordered the parts and they come in wrong size or without all the fasteners. It been 3 weeks buying this truck from them and I gave then $26,0000 in cash the rest on a check, which they didn't want to take a check because it was over $3,000. After I told them I wanted my 26 grand back all in cash, they took my check. They have been dicking me around for 3 weeks, it was less of a hassle when I bought my house. Go to to Pride Hyundai and deal with them but stay clear of Pride Chevrolet, I don't think any of these young guys there know what the hell they are doing. Preapproved financing, handed over a check for $3,000 for a loaded Tahoe for $66,500. Not happy with some of the packages I was told I had to have in order to obtain the specific features I wanted (e.g., a sunroof required a package with rear seat DVD players that I didn't want). But okay, I'd sign - if they'd throw in cross rails for the roof rack and a cargo mat. (Found out later the dealer cost of the former is less than $200, and the latter more like $50.) Salesman says he has to ask. So he does. Comes back and says the guy in the office said "one or the other." That rubbed me the wrong way, considering the price of the vehicle we were talking about. So I said "Both or no deal." Salesman went back in. Came out with my check in his hand and said "he says take your check." So I did - to Quirk Chevrolet in Braintree, where I found exactly what I wanted for almost $10,000 less, $1,500 more for my trade, and a better interest rate. And I love the crossrails. read more

Terrible experience at Pride Chevrolet collision in Lynn. My car was hit on the drivers side passenger door. The door and handle needed to be repaired. I had to get a rental as they did not know how long my car would take to repair. They called me and told me my car was fixed, I returned my rent a car and the employee from the rent a car place drove me to Pride Chevrolet to pick up my car. (Enterprise , Great place to rent a car). When I got there the damage was fixed that I brought it in for but there was a new scratch on the handle. One of the employees from Chevrolet tried to buff it out but could not fix it. I don't understand why my car was not looked at before calling me to say it was done. The receptionist at Chevrolet had to call the rental car place to come pick me up again and take the rental home. The next day i was called and told it was all set so I drove the rental to Chevrolet as the rental place said they could pick it up there. When I got there, the handle was fixed but I noticed there was a good size paint chip on the back of my car and many small ones on the front. The 2 employees a man and a women said that these were not done while there. I totally disagree as I looked at my car before I dropped it off as I had a appraiser come to look at it and it rarely leaves my driveway as I have been working from home since I bought the car. The man said that he would fix the chip in the back but not the front. The women asked me to walk around the car again with her before I left and I pointed out the chips in the front again and she said I just did that with my finger nail, the women also told me she was the only person that drove my car the whole time there but that was a lie as a employee drove me in my car back to pick up the rental. I was so upset I can't believe she would say that. I asked to speak to the manager Tony but the female employee called him and said he was in a meeting for the next hour so I got in the car and called him and got him right away. I told him the situation and he said he would look at his buildings cameras and get back to me. He called me back later that afternoon and said he would just be fixing the back not the front. I said did you look at your cameras and he said he did not have to. He said I was just looking for something free and did not believe me, I tried to discuss more but again he was rude and said I stand by my decision. The next day I got a call from a women at 350pm that my car was done. I said I would pick it up tomorrow as I would never make it in time they close at 5pm. She said very rudely just to let you know your car rental ends today, I told her that I would handle that as it was the wrong information I had until the next day. Very rude employees along with rude manager. I will tell everyone not to buy or have their cars fixed there as they may cause more damage to your car. read more

Okay Lynn Pride Chevrolet (The Worst Experience I Have Ever Had). Hello my name is Johnny. Just a little bit about me I have only lived in Boston for 3 months and I served in the military for 12 years. I'm telling you this so you know how Pride deals with people new to the area and most importantly veterans. I'm writing the review to warn people about this place so that they do not have the same experience my wife and I had. I started doing my car research online and I came across Lynn Pride. My wife and I found what we thought was an amazing car. A grey Chevy Cruze, from the pictures looks great. The salesman David said, "I thought you might want to drive your new car back to the dealership." At this point I was confused as he pulled up in red car and I asked, "Why this is not the car we wanted." He wanted clarifications on the car that we wanted and suggested that we go to the dealership anyways to check on the car we originally wanted. So we get to the dealership the salesman goes and finds the car from the back. It literally has body damage all over the driver side and the car is filthy and I say, "We are not taking this car because it's filthy and has body damage." The salesmen say, "What? Where?" So after awhile my wife and I decide to take the red car (which also has body damage). After we decide we want this car we agree to put $1,000 down. As we are filling out paperwork, we were being rushed out. We were consistent in telling David that I did not have work, and that my wife was the only one currently employed. So we get the car, we have it for three days and we start to get phone calls from the dealership. They want more info. I go in not knowing what is going on and I bring in the info that was requested. The Sales & Leasing Consultant, Eric tries to be helpful and asks me where the proof of my income is. But apparently someone didn't put the correct information on the paperwork they submitted to the bank. So Eric says, "Okay well the bank is going to cancelled the deal because of income. So we need to come up with more money down, or we'll take the car back." I asked if we would get our deposit back and he said yes. So I asked Eric to give us a few days to figure out how to come up with more money. Eric understood and was letting us drive the car without actually owning the car. So my wife and I can't figure out a solution to this problem. So I go to take the car back. Just to keep in mind: my wife and I have been dealing with all of this in only five days. So now we our frustrated, unhappy, stressed, and sad because we had to give our car back. I go into the Pride Lynn Chevrolet dealership and meet with Eric. I let him know that we couldn't come up with a solution. Eric being a salesman asked what if they can do this or that and I say I just want to give him the keys and get our deposit back. Eric says, "How convenient for you." Convenient is not the word I would use to describe this ordeal. Eric goes on and says, "Oh, we can't give you your money back, because we lost money on this deal too." I'm trying to control being upset and settle with, "Oh you poor babies." Like really? The poor deanship is losing some money on a deal after everything my wife and I have been through? Then Eric very frustrated raised his voice and says, "Give me the keys, I'm not dealing with you anymore. I have worked hard on this deal." So then Eric rushes over to some other staff member and says loudly, "Get this fucking guy out of here. I'm done with him. Take the plates off the car and get him out of here." I was shocked, this was on a Saturday and they had at least twelve customers plus staff, and he said this in the middle of the showroom. The General Manager John starts trying to help resolve this issue but, he is no longer at the company. So to surmise: found car we want, body damage. Put money down, rushed out. Returned car, was cussed at, and still don't have our money back. I just want to help others, and make sure no one else has this experience. Save some time, and sanity don't shop at Pride. read more

Was leery to visit because i had seem some not so great reviews on here but as soon as i called and spoke to Joanne she made me feel so much better. I went in that day and was matched with the salesman Clark and I immediatly felt at ease. He was upfront and honest in regards to what i could expect out of the price range i was in. I loved my experience there everyone was so nice and happy. If I could give a negative number I would, but unfortunately it won't allow me to! I have been searching for a car for the last 2 months. I checked out some places here and there but couldn't seem to find one. I saw one this morning on AutoTrader, it was for 2012 Honda Accord LX-P. The issue was that the Pride Chevy was about 2 hours away from my house. So before I left I called the sales department. I spoke to a fellow named Sam (actually name) and asked him if the car was still available as I live far away and do not want to waste a trip. He reassured me that, it was available and that when I got there to ask for him. We hopped in the car and headed toward Lynn. We get there and are wandering around. I finally have to ask a random guy who looked like he worked there if there was a separate Honda side. I let him know that I spoke to a Sam and was asked to ask for him when I arrived. A few minutes later, Sam arrives. I introduce myself and shake his hand. He then tells me he is going to set me up with a consultant. What, wait, then what the hell does Sam do? Sam brings back this guy, no idea who his name is. Sam says to guy I'm going to pull the car up for her, set up her profile. We sit with the guy and he tells me that unfortunately the car was sold this morning. I tell him, I called before hand blah blah to make sure it was there, 2 hour drive... He looks up the "sold" car and starts raving about what a great steal that wasI asked him why he rave about a deal that we were driving up to see and is now gone. What purpose was that serving? He says that Sam didn't know the car was sold, the other side of the dealership sold it, blah blah. My question is why is Sam answering the phone if he can not provide correct answers. Pissed off I gather my things to leave. I'm then told that maybe the car wasn't sold and to hold on, they had to make a phone call. Meanwhile as I wait, my dad goes into an office. I walk over and see this man, slumped back in his chair telling my dad that things happen, that they have been busy all day, "see look at the list of all the cars I sold..." Pride Chevy, do I give a crap? So when it gets busy, things fall apart and people give poor customer service, don't communicate and get lazy?? The salesman in there were unprofessional, unorganized and lack communication with each other. How do you NOT know if a car was sold? I would never recommend that place to anyone. HANDS DOWN THE WORST DEALERSHIP, OUT OF THE 15 THAT I'VE BEEN TO IN THE LAST FEW MONTHS. read more

IDK about their sales department but their service department SUCKS!! You go there you will get "played" and bled dry. I took my Chevy there for a recall. I payed the hefty $130 diagnoses fee to get my A/C checked. They told me it had no pressure and the "switching was wrong" so I told them to move on. Total was now $290 including the diagnosis fee. Not bad so far. Than came the BAD news. Apparently both the compressor and the condenser are broken. The quote on the parts alone without labor was 700+ for the compressor and "at least" 75 for the condenser, plus a minimum of 4 hour labor. they told me best case scenario I was looking at $1000 to $1200. Well I went to parts train.com and found the EXACT SAME PARTS for $264. I brought my new truck in because there was a clunk in the steering. The shuttle was not running so they had a friendly employee drive me home. No sooner was I home when they called and had the driver pick me up. My truck was fixed. The dealer where I purchased the car (not pride) had left a metal bar/bracket in my engine compartment and it was rubbing on the steering. I never go the name of the guy helping me but he was friendly and helpful. We both tried to figure out what it was and concluded that it must be used in transport. I will be doing all my service at pride from now on and cuter purchases will be there as well. read more

I don't like this place amongst others that don't like it. Rude and shady are two words to describe the experience. I visited the dump a Sunday, not a soul there. in December . The people are so incompetent wouldn't give directions to their dealership. The person not too friendly, answering the switchboard doesn't know how to get to the dealership. A negative signal before I arrive. After going Back and forth with some Brian o malley about a Trax I come by to discover it's not in stock? The salesperson, the card read Eric White, wasn't his name, it's "John?" became snarly about locating it and it wasn't his fault the Trax was sold? Upon expressing unhappiness with the jerks trade in offer, the salesperson got "fresh" with me and shouted and attacked me until I left to get away from the abuse. Upon e mailing the dealership about the taking advantage of, not a soul answers. Not surprised being shady and the GM looks like a mean AA guy in the pic. Brian o malley , no answer, has disappeared upon not buying it. The sketchy location is rid of the jerk. Wouldn't answer now that I discovered his secret. Horrible customer service. UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE are the first two words that come to mind when I think of Pride Chevrolet. On the test drive the salesman told us how much he personally hates shopping for cars and made a point to show us what a terrible job his dealership did on detailing the car. When we got back to the dealership the salesman spoke down to my wife and told us he was unwilling to negotiate the price of the car at all. He told us if we were unwilling to pay his price he would just sell the car to an Uber driver. He followed that up by telling us he was only going to make $1500 on the deal anyway. After explaining we couldn't afford the car at that price he wasn't even interested in showing us another car in our price range! We went down the road to Atlantic Toyota and my wife was able to experience true professionalism. After a few days I went back with a higher bid, but the sales manager actually reneged on his previous offer, going up by several hundred dollars. He refused to negotiate in good faith. Like many other commenters, I was also looking at a used car and put $200 deposit on the vehicle for 24 hours while they determined whether tey could find a financing deal that met my requirements. They assured me that my deposit would be returned no matter what. Well, no shock that they wouldn't provide financing unless I paid like $400 a month (I have good credit and am employed full time, btw) and they never returned the deposit, despite call after call after call..... VERY DISHONEST BUSINESS.....I just purchased a vehicle at an honest chevy dealer (not pride), and found out that the people at pride ran a hard credit check on my wife and myself. We already had financing and explained this to the salesman who informed us not to worry they need our ss # and our permission of which they had neither. Obviously all they need is for you to hand over your licence and that gives them all that's needed to run a credit check. Also I would check their ratings on other sites to get a true picture of pride Chevrolet....
