I want everyone to know my experience with Atlantic Toyota since buying a 2017 Tacoma. I had issues with the radiator over a few instances. The 3rd time Toyota sent a factory rep down to Atlantic Service and my claim was denied for what I thought would be just another warranty claim. I was on the hook for a very expensive repair of 2200 dollars. I made phone calls and pleaded my case and the Owner of Atlantic Toyota called me up at work and said he would eat the bill. This is above and beyond what I would expect. Denied from the factory only to have the owner say, " I will take care of it". I have bought three Tacomas at Atlantic and I will be buying my 4th there and continue to do business with Atlantic. You just don't get that type of valued customer service anymore. read more

My husband took the car to the dealership today, and they told him the same thing: that there wasn't a single problem. I left a review here, and Brianna replied and gave me this number that doesn't work: (866) 214-1448. What a joke. The dealer told him that Toyota doesn't replace the part unless it's damaged. The glass part is in bad condition; those incompetent people don't want to do their job. Don't you realize they have way more bad reviews than good ones? I am deeply disappointed with the service I received at Toyota Lynnway in Lynn. I entrusted them with my car for repairs, and I expected to receive it in the same condition I left it--if not better. However, after being notified that my car was ready for pickup, I was shocked to find it had been sideswiped while in their care. My vehicle had no dents or marks when I brought it in. I immediately spoke with the manager, who reassured me that the damage would be fixed and that my car would look as good as new. However, I was later told they needed to order parts for the damage they caused. This was frustrating, as it showed a lack of accountability and care for my vehicle. Two days later, when I returned to pick up my car, I noticed that the color of the repair area was completely mismatched. The paint didn't even remotely match the original color. When I pointed this out to the agent handing me the keys, his response was dismissive, telling me that "it's dirty" and that all I needed to do was wash it. I explained that the color difference was clearly noticeable, but he insisted that I wash it and return if I still felt it was an issue. I followed his suggestion and returned to the dealership, where the agent then suggested I take my car to another shop to have the door "buffed" to try and make the color look closer. This was completely unacceptable, so I refused. He then told me to come back the following morning to speak with the manager. The next day, I spoke to the manager, Peter Carey. He acknowledged the color mismatch but suggested painting only one side of the car to "resolve" the issue. I made it clear that this was not a satisfactory solution. Peter took my contact information but never followed up with me as promised. Since then, I have reached out to corporate, but I have yet to hear back from them. This level of unprofessionalism and disregard for customer satisfaction is completely unacceptable. Everyone there was professional, and polite. My 4 Runner was in for 15K service, the seat was covered to avoid stains and the work was completed efficiently. So disgusted with this dealership. Myself and my family have been coming here since 2010. Always had amazing experiences. Ownership or management must have changed. Yesterday was told they could not do another RAV4 lease for under $450/month (currently paying $350) so we had to walk. Ended up going with a Kia. Well, wouldn't you know, we magically got a text from the finance manager that they could actually do $358/month. I will NEVER do business with a dealership that would charge someone an extra $100/month just because they can. This is so morally and ethically wrong. Ii had a pleasant car service at Atlantic on Friday March 7 . The representative was helpful and he takes interest in the my car. I was there only for a simple oil change , but I have confidence in Atlantic Toyota thanks to him. He gave me a senior citizen discount which was very nice. He reminded me of a school resource officer taking interest that everything is safe. I bought 2 Toyotas there years ago. I also remember how kind John Biggio was to me. I inherited a Dodge Spirit when a family member passed. Mr Biggio was a big help with service issues. The Dodge had only a few thousand miles, but had not been driven regularly. He was a big help then and i never forgot his kindness. He had my slightly used Dodge running wonderfully. Also the waiting room is so comfortable and clean. For many years I've had great service at Atlantic. I'm also happy my new car is protected with the best 0-8 motor oil. I also hope Mr Biggio is doing well. He's a nice fellow. I was sold a car(2022 Corolla SE) that had very low miles. Like new, until I took it for a decent drive, went over a bump and seemed/sounds like rear of car is going to fall off. Loud noise that is in no way normal.Something is very wrong.I can not believe that let me drive this car home. Not a happy customer at all. I have to go back to Lynn,Mass. and try to get a different car(or fix this one? Aggh) all over again. Frustrating beyond belief. This is not what anyone wants to be doing. If I could give you guys 0 stars, I would, but the lowest is 1. I'm writing this out of sheer disgust and outrage after what can only be described as the most deceitful and appalling experience I've ever had at any dealership. Unfortunately, it was at Toyota Atlantic. Let me walk you through the mess your staff calls a sales process. On my first visit, I was told to bring a check. I did exactly that, only to be told after that I needed a certified check instead. Sure, whatever. I canceled the deal, thinking I'd spare myself any other nonsense. But then, one of your associates called me back, claiming they'd take $1,000 off the price if I returned. Against my better judgment, I gave this dealership another chance. I came back. We agreed on a car. We discussed terms. I was finally ready to finalize, ONLY to be told, "Oh, sorry, we can only take $200 off." Are you kidding me? That is not a simple miscommunication. That is bait and switch. That is dishonesty. It was a complete and utter waste of my time, energy, and patience. I rearranged my schedule, made multiple trips, and gave your dealership the benefit of the doubt, only to be met with lies, empty promises, and manipulative sales tactics. Never had I experienced this at Toyota. Toyota is a name I once associated with quality and loyalty. I would like to give this place negative stars but that is not an option. customer service is horrible and to be honest dangerous. during my last two service appointments I asked if I needed new tires. I don't know much about cars but they definitely looked worn. Both times the service advisor said no you don't need new tires, your tires are fine! when I left after the most recent appointment I had a flat tire the next morning. Turns out my car got a screw in the tire while in the shop. I went back in and they "fixed" it (did not replace the tire they ruined) and again I asked if I needed new tires because they looked so worn. Again they said no need good as new. the technician did not even bother to put the spare back underneath the vehicle so I've been driving around with no cargo space for months, unable to take more time out of my life to fix their mistakes. I have a disability and the lack of space is a huge problem for me - I cannot lift the spare out of the car so I've been without space for months. this is so basic - cmon. I went to get the car inspected a month ago and it failed because the tires are bald. The mechanic told me I should not be driving on such worn tires and to definitely not have any passengers due to the extreme danger of not having safe tires. what in the actual.... this place sucks. But more than that it's dangerous. Go somewhere else - this service shop put my safety at serious risk. read more

Local mechanics are better than AT mechanics. I went there because of my warranty. Even tho you have a appointment, they take way to long to do it. They talk more , charge more but do less job. Mechanic are not that knowledgeable. They said whatever they want. I feel like they don't check properly, they just said whatever they want and give pressure to the customer to pay more. I made an appointment last week to have the hood release fixed on my car. After waiting one and a half hours today, I was told that they would not have my car ready today because they did not have the part. They gave me a loaner car and told me to come back tomorrow. I do not understand why they didn't have the part when they had a week to get it. I also do not understand why I needed to wait one and a half hours today to be told to come back tomorrow. I was told today that they didn't know what time my car would be ready tomorrow. When I asked if it could be ready in the morning I was told there was nothing they could do about it. When I tried to file a complaint, there was no way to do it and that is why I have used this way to file a complaint. read more

I had a great experience with Atlantic Toyota. Rich was kind, patient, and genuinely cared about what I was looking for. He didn't rush me and wasn't pushy, and I truly appreciate his professionalism. Sreng was also outstanding and patient with each of my questions. He made sure the numbers worked for me and my family and once again genuinely cared about every aspect of our transaction. This next comment didn't detract from the exceptional service I received from both Rich and Sreng, but I will say one of the sales managers (I believe his name was Andrew) walked in while I was working with Sreng and began to speak to me as if I needed to make a choice now and that he was giving me a good deal. He was pushy, and the interaction came across as if he was flustered with me not making a decision or pushing back on certain options that were being offered. He also walked out and stated he wanted his guy to get a sale, which came across as tacky. Overall, this moment cannot detract from the exceptional service provided by both Rich and Sreng. Run away from this place. I'm an experienced car buyer, and called the sales department to examine whether or not I should capitalize on this crazy used car sales market to get a new shiny SUV. The man who answered my phone treated me like I was the stupidest person on the planet. Didn't even let me finish my sentences before answering my questions. Rude, not helpful, curt, offered no assistance about the car I was referencing in stock on Edmunds. And when I declined his offer to drive all the way up there to have my car looked at (because there is no way I am giving THIS GUY my a sales commission), he clearly was angry at me, so he said "okay then YOU HAVE A NICE DAY" sarcastically. *This review was based on my experience buying a new 2019 Toyota RAV4 hybrid* They have serious integrity issues at this dealership. We signed an agreement yesterday and came in this morning to finish up the paperwork because they closed at 6PM last night. Mysteriously, during those 16 hours the rate went up to 5.84%. Clearly in the attached email it states, "3.99% and with rebates it goes down to 2.25%". Jorge in the business office had zero explanations for this and proceeded to talk in circles. He also stated we wouldn't be receiving the military rebate which we provided an ID for and was "approved" for yesterday. We decided to walk as there are better dealerships in the area that won't pull the "bait and switch". For car REPAIRS be very CAUTIOUS on going here. I've been taking my pickup here for many years. About 3 months back they told me my suspensions was broken. I got them fixed costing $2,000. Only a few weeks ago I was getting my tires at a local shop. They saw the suspensions were OUT and I was in high DANGER driving. (As you can see from the picture down below.) I called the dealer and they told me COME IN Monday. I didn't wait until Monday and went after the call. Once I got my pickup they charged me $100 for an ERROR THEY MADE. This ERROR could have cost my families as well as mines LIFE. Nothing happened thankfully but I'll be looking for a new repair shop now. read more

This was my first new car purchase in YEARS......I was so excited, knew what I wanted.......had to pick from what was "there". Clearly not physically there...a month later....beautiful car. But I didn't know the rav4 got BIGger! I can barely get up into the suv. And the fact that my car pulled me consistently from one lane to another WITHOUT MY ABILITY TO CONTROL THE STEERING WHEEL!! After opening a case with Toyota Inc., a "specialist" came to see what was going on, it was decided that it's the lane assist...the one that beeps at you while it moves your car toward where it assumes you're headed. This happened to me...twice on the highway. I was in one of the middle two lanes on I93 and all of a sudden the rav4 was driving ITSELF into the lane to my left. Fully. Regardless of someone already in it! Both times I was lucky! But the repair person kept insisting it was me, nothing to do with the car- and the "fix" was LITERALLY "just don't use them if they bother you." I didn't pay this much money for ANYTHING that needed a part to be shut off so I keep control of the car.....good way to LOCK me INTO the car because, as we all know, it's resale value went down at least 5K. As soon as I left the dealers lotI was full on both lots. Yet no touching, looking,or DRIVING test( I would not have bought it) and now I need another car. Wish me luck! read more

Having never shopped there before, and the reputation that car salesmen have, I was kind of dreading going to a car dealership. However I can honestly say they greatly exceed my expectations. Darcy, Manny, and Jorge were very professional and helpful. I was at the dealership for 3.5 hours and was able to test drive the car, do all the paper work, pay, and get the car inspected & registered to drive off the lot. I was with Toyota for 9 years. I was going in to get my fourth leased car with them and sat down, got the info, he ran my credit, we agreed on terms and I put $500 to hold the car in transit. I was waiting to get the call to pick up and two weeks later I heard nothing. I finally received a TEXT from the salesperson telling me the car was there and ready. I was denied a graduate offer which ended up being fine so I asked for a confirmation of the monthly payment which should have only been $15 more. He then proceeded to tell me I needed to put $1000s more down and pay $100s more a month. I was not contacted in the two weeks I was waiting for the car. My credit was ran the day I went in and put the deposit in and no where in the two week frame I was waiting was I made aware of anything. When I declined to pay that much I was simply told to come pick up the $500 I put down. The communication was so poor, I was not informed what was going on and had I not inquired they confirm the cost I would have walked in to pick up my car and been asked on the spot to pay $1000s more. They simply wanted more money out of me and it's disgusting. I was loyal to them for 9 years and after this i will be taking my business elsewhere. I completely wasted my time waiting for this vehicle for the salesperson(Clyde) to fumble it all. I wasn't even offered alternative options to look at, or even spoken to on the phone for that matter. The amount of money I've spent with them in 9 years, this makes me really sad. I hate writing negative feedback. Here's my experience. I brought my 15 year old Toyota with low mileage in with 2 issues. Only 1 was able to be addressed. Replacing a heat shield. It was rusty and rattling. My friend doctored it up last winter when It was rattling worse. A heat shield typically costs less than 200.00. Atlantic said I also needed 1 right brake done too but it was still under warranty. (Yay!) But I would have to pay for labor. Cut to the end cost 1,489.00!!? WHAT? I asked SPECIFICALLY 3x for a DETAILED invoice of what I'm paying for. The service department made me wait..and wait....and finally gave me a paper that said parts and labor costs. I guess I needed a drive belt too which was never discussed with me. The person that treated me like I was an idiot was named CARMEN. She said I was getting a free "loaner" car overnight and on one of the papers the cashier said "You got a discount on the rental car". That means Carmen lied about that too. I knew I was going to be overcharged. I just wanted a detailed invoice and to be treated like a human. You blew it. So $1,489.00 for a heat shield, a drive belt, and labor to put them both in and of course labor to put the brake in too. That doesn't seem correct to me. Does it seem correct to you? read more

Brought my car in to have the paint repaired which was all good. A few days later I tried to use the wipers with the windshield washer and it didn't work. I put more liquid in and still didn't work. Turns out when they took the hood off they never connected the hose back. Now they're telling me that I might be responsible? I think Not! Driving home today from an appointment it seems that my transmission is slipping. I really believe that they did something to cause this because it was running great until they got their hands on it. There was no charge for the paint being that it was a manufacturer default so maybe this is how they make their money. The service department at this location is the worse place I ever brought my RAV 4 to be repaired! I purchased the extra Warenty for the wheels on my vehicle for quite a bit of money. I hit something on the Lynnway scratching a couple of the wheels rims. The first time I brought my car in to be repaired, I was never told that they only did this type of repair on Wednesdays. After making the appointment to have the wheels repaired today, a Wednesday, my car was tied up most of the day and no repair was done. This is because the person in the service department never contacted the 3rd person/party that does these repairs. So he wasn't able to repair my wheels.
