Waitied for several hours for the plumber to arrive. They were supposed to call when they were on their way but they did not. When the plumber arrived he indicated the backed up sink was likely attributable to the plumbing beyond the sink as the debri found was very small and normal steps to alleviate did not fix the problem. He even told me that I should make sure the HOA understands this as this type of problem would typically be payed by them. When the bill came they indicated stopped up sink attributable to debri. The exact Opposite of what he told us. It is clear that this company is in cahoots with the HOA and we were duped. Don't use them!!!!! read more

Chuck and his crew are a great group of people. they all know what they are doing and make sure that the customer is taken care of and satisfied with all the work before they leave. We called Pride plumbing when we were having mainline problems and another plumbing company wanted to charge us an arm and leg to come out and hydro jet for us. Chuck(CEO) was out at the house with-in an hour to help us out after I sent the previous plumber away. It turned out to be a big project and chuck and his crew have been there for the whole process specially when it comes to dealing with the city. It saddens me that I will have to report pride plumbing to BBB. I am also contacting them directly this morning to make understand what went so wrong. First, I have used them in the past to fix a leaking shower drain that was dampening the ceiling of the unit below me. The plumber was extremely helpful and professional. The job took approximately four hours and was about $100 in parts and $350 in labor for a total of $450. The price seemed a bit steep but I was satisfied with the service. Last week, my shower began leading at the faucet through the shower valve and would not stop. We called out Pride to take a look. First, the plumber hit the faucet with his hand, breaking the plastic. Next, the plumber stated that the entire shower valve would be need to be replaced and the cost would be $650. They also warned me that there could be cutting around the shower, causing additional repairs that would not be included in the quoted price. My mother-in-laws partner is a plumber, so I asked if he could take a second look. First, he found that the moen shower valve has a plate that can be removed to inspect the valve. He was able to use the cut-off valve - so the whole building's water did not need to be cut off. Second, he found that the valve includes adjustment screws, that can re-tighten the valve seat. He was able to do this, and stop the leading. He also replaced the faucet head for me, that the Pride plumber had broken. It took him 30 minutes, and $10 to fix. I am concerned that Pride is completely incompetent at best, or fraudulent at worst. My new plumber will also contact Pride directly to explain the situation and provide advice that untrustworthy service will not bring repeat customers. You can understand he is upset because Pride's actions damage the whole profession. I am going to check this posting to see if it has been removed by Yelp. If it has been removed, I will not recommend Yelp any longer as it has lost its integrity. read more

I can't say enough about these guys. It started on a Sunday when we were having a water drainage issue in our newly purchased home. I removed the toilet since I was replacing it to find roots growing up to the wax seal. Being so concerned, I called Pride to see if someone could come out and take a look. I spoke with Chuck, told him our problem and to my surprise, he gave me advice on how to remove them (which worked) and said we probably wouldn't need a plumber for that. I briefly thought that solved the problem. So later that night the plumbing in our master bath still wasn't draining so the next morning we called Pride again. This time they send out a couple guys an hour later to see what was going on. According to them we had one of the worst root problems they've ever seen, not exactly what you want to hear about a house you just bought. Needless to say, 7 hours later, a lot of snaking, water jetting, and camera inspections, our lines were spotless and everything drains perfectly. She called back and then said they can't give a quote over the phone but have a free inspection. I asked for a ballpark she said they couldn't give me that information either. This is the one company that our HOA/Prop Mgt uses that is really exceptional. These guys have been in my unit a LOT!! Back in 2013 or 14 there was major backflow into my tub/showers, toilets. These guys chiseled out buried cleanout drains, snaked and finally jackhammered my living room floor to get to collapsing sewer pipes. They never left crap all over and they were great about communicating schedules. I recently was forced to deal with a leak from the upstairs neighbor and decided to move my HW heater outside (their and the restoration teams strong recommendation). They cleaned up a messy drywall job from the restoration team and left it all in better shape than they found it. Sal even came back on Saturday to finish mudding and called in to have a small leak addressed at the same time. Today, the office called to let me know the plumber would be at my house shortly, well within the scheduled time frame. Nicholas was our technician and he was awesome. I am so impressed by how Chuck Newton, the owner of Pride Plumbing personally called me from his cell phone this past Friday night, around 8ish pm to follow up with my concerns about my elderly parents being without hot water. Because I was not able to return Pride Plumbing's call earlier that day until 5:30pm, Chuck recommended that I call SDGE and schedule them to check out the tankless water heater at my parents rental that night. Chuck said if SDGE wouldn't be able to help my parents then I should call him back. I called Chuck back on Saturday morning and he sent one of his guys to check out the water heat that day. I then called Chuck today to thank him from the bottom of my heart for helping my parents this weekend even though he wasn't able to get a hold of the property manager or his company over the weekend. After countless plumbers, over a span of 6 months, trying to diagnose why the tankless water heater would stop producing hot water, Chuck and his team were able to determine why the tankless water heater would randomly stop producing hot water. While my husband and I are out, (staying in a hotel in due to the heatwave in SD) we found out from our neighbor downstairs that there some leaking coming from our apartment(we live upstairs) so we called Pride Plumbing and they were so quick to come to our place to fix our water tank. I quickly came home to take care of it. The company sent Leo O. to check on our water tank and right away he said we will need a new one, I mean I wasn't surprised, it's a 24 year old tank. He quickly call his office and within 20-30 minutes he's back with a brand new tank. Everything went quick. He's not playing around, he means business. He was so nice and friendly. Before he left he made sure everything works as well as our stove since it was right next to our water heater tank. In less than 2 hours, everything was back to normal. I had been looking around for a plumbing company to check the water temperature coming from the sink. I am a paraplegic and had previously received a serious 3rd degree burn. Two other companies quoted me prices between $250 and $150. Roto Rooter of El Cajon was the highest. Neither company ever showed up. I found Pride Plumbing and spoke with Chuck, we scheduled an appointment for the following Monday and he gave me a price of $75.00. When he showed up, not only was he on time, he check the temps, he checked the facility water heater and was really helpful. During his inspection he noted that the water temp was about 126 (way too hot) and adjusted it so I wouldn't get burned again and provided additional helpful information. But to top it off, when time for me to pay, he told me that my bill amount, was a :) A smile. It cost him to come here and it cost his time. Not only was I thankful for his help, but grateful to see that in this crazy world, there are still some people willing to show kindness and selflessness. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!! The only pride they take is ripping off the customer. Their communication was horrible, pricing was insanely over the top, and instead of professionally addressing our concerns with the over priced bill we were threatened. The operations manager Derrick Stoelton was rude, irrational, and just plain shady. To add to all the problems they didn't even fix the issue. We had to bring in a different company to fix all the band aids they claimed solved the problem...it did not! I am absolutely shocked they are even still in business. Pride Plumbing did an amazing job on our whole-house re-pipe!. Dylan came out to look at the job and get the data for a quote. We were impressed with his punctuality, knowledge, and politeness. When they began work a few days later, it was Dylan who was the lead on the job. The company also sent a supervisor who assessed the work to be done and gave some additional instruction. Once the work began, Dylan and Dom were on time and worked hard. This is not an exaggeration. Our house has a very small slope, so they (especially Dom) were forced to crawl or otherwise navigate very tight spaces. They had great team work. They did quality work and finished the job in less time than they had estimated necessary. The were careful with our privacy and our belongings, and went out of their way to clean up each day. The price was very reasonable and there were no add-on surprises, as they kept us in the loop the whole time. This particular issue had been going on for quite some time and it really worried me because I thought the floor and the walls would need to be cut into. Saturday AM I found that my kitchen sink faucet was broken. Thinking the worst I look at the faucet sets on the computer $150.00. I then called Pride Plumbing and spoke to the owner Chuck and ask about the installation of a new sink faucet. Check said before I buy any thing let him look at the faucet. A short time later Chuck arrived and in checking the faucet found that a $15.00 repair kit for the handle was all it needed. In this day and age this is highly unusual. I called them on a Sunday after a valve blew off our water heater and hot water was flooding our garage. They were very responsive, shut off the water and gas (made sure we did it correctly) and then waited to make sure it was secure.
