We called Perry Plumbing due to a leak on our Backflow. The technician used PVC coupling to stop the leak on the pipe. After that was repaired, the backflow itself developed a leak. Perry charged us $2,100.00 for the coupling repair and gave us a quote for the complete replacement of the backflow. The quote for the replacement was around the price of the coupling repair. We decided to get another opinion and contacted a backflow specialist. First off, you shouldn't use pvc on that point on a backflow. Copper fittings only. Homeowners are at the mercy of plumbing companies. In the end it was clear. Perry Plumbing took advantage of us and ripped us off for $2,100. Avoid this company. They are very dishonest! read more

Brandon and Perry Plumbing were awesome! My mom needed her old cast iron sewer relined. It was completely gone in places. Brandon came out and provided the most comprehensive assessment of the three companies that provided an estimate. He also identified all the drops that others just estimated. He was also the only one to run a camera down the kitchen line. The kitchen line was in as bad or worse shape than the main sewer and Brandon included that in the quote. Perry is the company for the job! Not only was Perry's quote the most comprehensive, it also proved to be the least expensive and to have the best description of services. We had Perry out for a sink clog issue since they had done prior work on our house. They diagnosed the issue, gave us options and did the repair in a timely manner! While they absolutely gave us the quote prior to performing the repair, but it is still very expensive compared to other vendors for typical services (i.e.. unclogging drains, etc.). For regular maintenance I will likely user our other preferred vendors, but it is great knowing Perry is available and reliable when needed. read more

Price Gouging at 10x the Fair Rate - Buyer Beware I feel a strong obligation to share this experience to help protect other consumers from predatory pricing. I needed a new shower diverter cartridge for my Pfister Selia 1-Handle Tub & Shower Trim, which is covered under a lifetime warranty. I was very clear when booking the service: the technician must know how to work on Pfister fixtures. The company assured me their tech was qualified. I had already researched the job and found that a repair like this typically costs between $100 and $600. When the technician arrived, he immediately tried to convince me to abandon the Pfister valve entirely and replace it with a Moen system. I knew this was unnecessary. He then quoted me $1,750 for the job. I politely asked him to leave. His explanations for the extreme price involved claims about needing to contact Ferguson after hours for parts and other justifications that didn't add up. He couldn't explain why I couldn't simply order the parts directly from Pfister and save a significant amount of money. As a business owner and capitalist myself, I fully understand the need to make a profit, pay employees fairly, and earn a healthy return. I would have seriously considered a quote up to $700. But $1,750 -- over 10 times a reasonable rate -- combined with the hard sell and misleading advice was unacceptable. Thankfully, a reputable master plumber in my neighborhood got back to me the same day. He advised me to contact Pfister directly for the warranty replacement parts and offered to install them for just $150, estimating less than an hour of work. I reached out to Pfister, and they shipped the replacement parts the same day with no hesitation. Message to service companies: Consumers are doing their research. Stop trying to rip people off with 10x markups and unnecessary upsells. Fair pricing and honest service will earn you loyal customers -- predatory tactics will not. The Perry team just finished a combo relining / replacement job on old cast iron pipes in my 1955 home--relined the main out to the street, and replaced everything under the house. I decided to go with Perry after getting 8 other quotes from both smaller and bigger shops; Perry was great from start to finish. Brandon made the sales process easy and super transparent (no "manager's special / sign now!!" pressure deals), and did a full assessment with a video scope and a look under the house--more thorough than most other estimates I got. He also acted as my main client contact during the project, and was super responsive throughout. Both the replacement and relining crews were timely and professional, and amazingly wrapped up the work on a quicker timeline than expected---Jose on replacements, and Alijandro on relining. I even had a minor snafu with a mis-connected washing machine after some of the work, and the Perry team had a plumber out the same day for a fix. Nathan from Perry Plumbing was the only plumber out of no kidding 4 or 5 different companies to be able to fix my problem! I had something in my shower drain and no one knew what it was. Every other plumber tried to snake it out, pull it out, etc. I was even looking at needing to replace the P-trap and cut a bunch of dry wall and replace the drain from underneath. Nathan was able to pull unknown object (it ended up being a cleaning brush) out of the shower and no more problems! He was an expert and very professional and helpful. It was a LOT of work; cutting my grass out, digging a wide & deep hole to stand in to cut the old cast iron line and replace it, replacing the dirt & grass and installing a new sewer cap. I'm so happy with Tony from Perry Plumbing. I had a clogged tub due to a piece coming off the waste and overflow that went down the drain. I called out another company first and they quoted me $3200, they would have to break the concrete and dig 4' and then 3' to access the drain line. My main line plugged up AGAIN on Thursday. I called Perry Plumbing as they came out on a Sunday three weeks ago. When I spoke with the operator and told her what had happened, she was very sympathetic and ensured that a technician arrived at my house within two hours. When Juan arrived, he inserted a camera down the pipe and saw a large number of roots. Due to his professionalism and sincere concern, I decided to have him excavate the area around the pipe and replace it. He started right away and was completed by noon the next day. The price they charged was reasonable, and it comes with a two-year warranty. Boy - when I saw the roots, it was surprising anything got through there! These guys saved my butt and wallet. Had another company come in to clear the drain, they couldn't do it made it worse, even cut into the drywall and vent to get a better angle at snaking and their camera. They blamed the problem on pipes needing to be replace and corrosion. After a $20k estimate and a week of not being able to use my kitchen or washing machine I called Perry Plumbing. Toney and Logan showed up at the house within a day. They cleaned out the clog and got everything able to drain without any backup. They took video, which showed the pipes needing to be replaced at some point, but took me out of an emergency situation with poor financial decisions into a place where I could plan it out. They didn't push anything next steps but let me know of a few options. They explained everything perfectly. Had a great experience with Perry Plumbing today.  We had major sewage backup in our back yard, a real emergency situation.  Brandon came out, quickly diagnosed that the cast iron from the house to the city connection was in bad shape and had root intrusion  Drains from different parts of our large house came to a large "Y" connection that needed to be replaced.   He had Efrain and Logan come out the next day, which was HUGE! They had to dig down five feet to find the Y, cut it out and install new ABS with cleanouts for easy future access.  Amazing they could complete this big job in one day, and our drains are running smoothly again.   Efrain, Logan and Brandon were polite, professional, and explained the work every step of the way.  I can't recommend them enough. As our house was built in the '50s with cast iron throughout, we've had history of clogged drains. I had a clogged bathroom sink drain, and I live on the third floor of a condo complex. Before they could clear my drain, they had to coordinate with the tenants below me to make sure they didn't push the clog down and cause problems for them. The job we requested was for bathroom plumbing issues and preventative lining of the main sewer line (50s cast iron). Brandon came out to provide a quote. His plan to repair the issues fit ideally into the condition of the work area and age of the pipes. We collected quotes from 4 different companies. Quotes were from 2500 (limited scope of work) to 18k. Perry Plumbing was not the highest, but around that range. Brandon was upfront with timelines and explained the process thoroughly. Dee was our technician for the cracked water heater and was absolutely amazing. He was at our house most of the day and stayed friendly, professional, and positive the entire time. I had my pipes lined about 12 years ago. Recently, my sink backed up. Camera work revealed a restriction in the pipe, the work was not done properly. I should not have taken the easy way, which is what I did, though I didn't know it, and my pipes no longer flowed. Big mistake. Having no flow is not easy to deal with. My neighbor recommended Perry Plumbing. Their cost was less than someone else I was getting a bid from. Perry focused their work on what needed to be done, not a bunch of other stuff to run the bill up. They said their technology was better, that their lining was thinner and left greater diameter for water flow. Sure I thought...but I picked them. Wow. When I put a bowl of water in the sink to the flow, on the garbage disposal side, with the sink strainer in, I saw a whirlpool. What? Did it again, and LOL, a vortex sucking noisily as the water fell down the drain. Perry Plumbing inspected their work AFTER doing it, saw a flaw, and re did a part. Use them. Use them. Use them. Highly disappointed since they have good reviews. Tips: Do your diligence on pricing and make sure the tech is making an effort to fix the problem and not upsell you. The PM group I use reached out to Perry's for some work that a tenant reached out about. The technician Zachary T. went out and observed a few things: - garbage disposal in the kitchen - bathroom sink - bathtub He wasn't able to fix the kitchen immediately but completed the work in the bathroom. He came back and stated that the garbage disposal needed to be replaced and gave an estimate of over $900.... I had just replaced the disposal last year and knew that price seemed off. I contacted another plumber who quoted $350. Unfortunately he wasn't available until the next week so we decided to go fix it ourselves just so the tenant didn't have to wait longer than necessary. We were able to wiggle the disposal and remove the piece of ceramic that was causing the issue WITHOUT REPLACING IT. Additionally, the tenants let us know that Zachary really didn't make an effort to fix the disposal. I reached out to Perry's and was able to speak with the owner who stated he was going to speak with Zachary and also check the pricing since the cost of the garbage disposal was 3x the industry standard. He mentioned it could have been an issue with the new book they used to update pricing. I never heard back read more

We had an incredibly difficult situation with a neighbors sewage spilling onto our property and discovering their sewer mainline ran the entire length of our backyard and terminated at the street. Three other plumbing companies had stopped by to see if they could assist us and were unable to do so as the pipeline had a break directly next to our pool. Brandon Wheeler from Perry came out on recommendation of Fuller Plumbing, and we were lucky he did. He immediately was able to tell us that the neighbors "plumber" had been about to use a pipe-bursting method that would have most definitely damaged our pool in addition to other peoples sewer lines running directly next to them. He pinpointed exactly what needed to be done, and we were able to take that information to our lawyer and the homeowners to give them a deeper picture into what needed to be done to fix the pipe without further damage to our property. Of course, the eccentric neighbor had other plans, and it took over 4 months of legal and financial threats to push her in the right direction. When all the cards aligned, Perry swooped in and did a very difficult lining of the pipe in under a week, well before their proposed finish date. The value for this work is inestimable, as it gave us back our backyard after almost 5 months of dealing with an unruly neighbors crap....literally. We had a slow leak in the attic. Two other companies came and neither could do the repair. Third time is a charm. Chris and Joseph from Perry Plumbing came out. They were friendly and professional. They kept us informed during the whole process which was pretty lengthy cause they had to leave to go buy some materials. They showed us videos, they made sure we understood what was wrong, and completed everything same day. At the end they even checked our water pressure to make sure it was right.
