Absolutely rooked my senior mom on pricing. $900+ for a 3/4 hp garbage disposal replacement and that with a "discount". $179 disposal which took 25 minutes to install. That's a $700+ margin on that job. Called to talk to an office member and they had zero shame charging what they charged. Very smug and tried to justify their over pricing by difficulty of install. I called to have a leak found and when the guy showed up he was nice enough but didn't seem like he wanted to find my leak instead he was pushing for a repipe after awhile he told me he had to schedule another vendor to actually find the leak I agreed and he said the guy would be there the next day at 3 the guy never showed leaving me to find another leak detection company. Contacted Voyager on 10/09/2025 for a small leak from the refill tube to the toilet bowl. Appears it is a degraded gasket seat on 1-2 of the tank to bowl bolts and possibly the tank to bowl washer. They were responsive in answering the phone and setting an appointment including same day appointment. There was no charge for the estimate. The technician came out within the promised time slot. The technician took about a minute to look at the toilet issue. He then stated it would cost $549.00 to replace the 3 tank to bowl bolts and tank to bowl washer. Really? $549.00 to replace a few bolts and a washer when the cost of the materials is maybe $20-$30 at the the high end and the labor is an hour or less. I have no idea how much experience the technician that was sent out has or how gullible he thought I was but this was definitely a predatory estimate provided. I obviously did not go with Voyager for my repairs but I just want to caution others regarding my experience with business. Especially because I researched Voyager and they have such high yelp and google reviews. Very, very disappointed. Hope my experience was just a one off. read more

I had a problem with my water heater; the pilot won't light. I tried it for a couple of days, and I gave up. I called several Plumbers, and Bill Howe is the one who installed my brand-new water heater. They told me that I needed a new water heater. The old man Miguel said this kind of water heater doesn't last long :) So I asked him Why did you sell this brand that you no longer carry? I called Voyager Plumbing, and they sent Arnold, very polite and respectful, showed me how to light it, and it took less than 10 minutes to light it. Do not trust Bill Howe if you have a problem with your water heater! I highly recommend Voyager. They are honest and will help you and educate you. Their technician(Arnold) is honest and will show you where the problem is. Bill Howe Tech did not even bother helping me to light the pilot. He told me right away I needed a new Heater. We had a very slow drain in our kitchen and were told to call Voyager by some good friends from our church. We called and had Thomas, the owner, out the next day. Thomas was within the window that we had arranged, he was clean, polite, professional, knowledgeable, determined and friendly (and a responsible surfer which is a bonus to me!). As a newly retired Fire Captain, who has worked with young men, I can tell when I am being fed a line. I trust Thomas. During the "snaking" of our drain the Voyager snake had an issue. Thomas said he would be right back and, true to his word, he was back within 20 minutes with another machine and finished the job. It appears that the past owner of the home (27 years ago), or a lousy plumbing company, had broken off a cheap snake and left a large section in the pipes. Thomas retrieved the broken snake and a stinky greasy mess and the drain is working like a champ again. A really good young man who has created a very good company. Use this company. I seriously cannot recommend Fitzgerald Plumbing enough. We recently moved into a house with a 30 year old water heater that was on its way out. We decided to bite the bullet and get a new water heater before the old one inevitably went out at the most inconvenient time. We shopped around around and got a quote from one plumber who came out to the house, Home Depot who quoted over the phone, and Fitzgerald Plumbing. Fitzgerald Plumbing beat both and provided the exact same services and water heater (Bradford White 40 gallon gas). Thomas was able to install the heater same day and we now have hot water! He gave us 5 different options with absolutely no pressure to choose anything we didn't want. He also replaced our water shutoff valve for a great price. Thomas arrived during the time window he gave, took his time to get the job done right, and is even coming back tomorrow to fix a small leak for no extra charge. Only the Best Plumbing Detective Will Do... When we discovered a large puddle of water on the garage floor that wasn't coming from the car's A/C, we figured we had a serious problem. After several days of watching, we guessed that the water was coming from the upstairs bathroom--and that the problem was BIG. The technicians at Swift Resto opened several holes in the garage wall and found a lot of moisture and mold. We asked them for a recommendation for a plumber to find the source of the leak(s) and fix it. They suggested we contact Thomas Fitzgerald of Voyager Plumbing. We called Thomas and explained our situation; he arranged to come out at noon the next day. Thomas discovered the probable source of the leak and set about to find the best course of action to confirm the diagnosis and open the wall to tackle the repair. Conferring with the restoration crew to ensure the most cost-effective way to get at the leak, he then gave us an estimate, got the necessary materials and tools and made the repairs that afternoon. Thomas discovered a loose drainpipe from the upstairs shower that had been poorly installed during the construction of our home (he pointed out a large nail that had punctured the drainpipe; it had been that way for over 20 years!). Thomas treated us very fairly in finding the best way to get at the problem. Working with the restoration folks, he affected the repairs quickly and efficiently, and thoroughly tested the finished job. We had a sewer back up that turned into a full sewer replacement (1960s cast iron). Voyager Plumbing came to the rescue the next day and got to work on our plumbing issues. This was a MAJOR project that took 2 weeks, but Thomas, Frank, and their team kept us up-to-date along the way, explained every step, and why it was necessary. They also gave us a reasonable price. Of note, they are experienced and licensed for general contracting as well. That means they can do the usual finishing work (replace tile, drywall, repaint, replace siding) that most plumbers won't.
