I have been coming to Dr. Young off and on for years, for my occasional lower back strains and sciatica flair ups. I love that I can just call in and he'll make time in his schedule to see me that same day. Usually after a flair up he'll adjust me and within 3-5 days I'll be back to normal. Occasionally it'll need a few extra treatments, but I love that Dr. Young is quick, efficient and exact in his treatments, something that's very important for my busy schedule. I came across this chiropractor randomly but I'm so glad that I did! Dr. Yun is an amaaaaazing doctor who's been taking care of me since I pretty much think I was scammed of the last practitioner. He was very detailed and thorough with my diagnosis and had a clear idea as to what I had. His treatment has been helping me live a normal, better life ever since and I simply love my every visit now. It does get expensive, especially for me but I think it's worth the money at this point. Dr. Yun is so easygoing and I can feel that he genuinely cares for his patients and wants to help in every way possible to accommodate his patients' needs. I would like to highly recognize Dr. Yun for his professional treatments throughout the years we have been going to him. His office manager is also part of the outstanding team! Dr. Yun takes the time to discuss your situation and does not rush you in any way with you sitting down with him about your concerns. The other main reason I am writing this review is that he saved my wife with her back concerns with his inspection and diagnostics regarding pain in her back. BEFORE he continued to perform any treatment he took a couple of x-rays and noticed a couple of possible compression fractures on the vertebrae's and immediately asked for us to get with our family doctor to request an MRI to see what was happening. We did contact our doctor and he sent us to a spine specialist at Long Beach Memorial Orthopedic Spine Center to perform the MRI. Well, as Dr. Yun thought there were fractures in T8, T10, and L1 and he was correct. So the Orthopedic Spine Center surgeons at Long Beach Memorial Hospital performed a procedure called "Kyphoplasty" to correct the fractures! If Dr. Yun did not refer us to our doctors it could have really been worst! THANK YOU DR. YUN for taking the time to take x-rays and sending us to our doctor and spine specialist. Hands down I'm very happy I found this place the front desk staff will always greet you and makes you feel welcome and belive me I been to different chiropractors and like them but is expensive but here they take Kaiser with only co-pay of $15 based on your plan but Dr Yun is very knowledgeable, straightforward and very kind and professional he knows what he does and will go over X-rays and recommendations, I highly recommend this place for treatment and also specially if you been involved in a car accident this is the place to come, don't be hesistant to come here you'll make the right decision. It's been over 10 years since she's been treated and she hasn't had a problem with her neck and shoulders since. My mom had work-related trigger finger and carpal tunnel syndrome. She was unable to bend her fingers and unable to grip things like a knife. Her worker's comp. sent her to doctors who wanted to perform surgery. Instead of trying an invasive treatment and risking possible complications from surgery, my mom opted to see Dr. Yun. He restored her ability to grip things and is functioning well. My dad had lower back problems every since I was a littler girl. He tried pain medication, acupuncture, etc etc. Eventually, he was treated by Dr. Yun and Dr. Yun's treatment helped the most. As for me, I also had neck and shoulder pain in high school. I haven't had problems with my neck or shoulders since my treatments in high school. I went to Prima because my son had gone there and liked the doctor. However even though the doctor was very caring and gave me a good treatment the first time, he tried to get me to come back for more times for a cost of $650 for treatment on my hand. Of course insurance wasn't going to pay for it and I felt that much money was way too much. I ended up going to another local chiropractor who treated it that day and explained how to do therapy myself with cold and hot packs and exercises and explained that time was going to be the best healer. She said to come back if it was not improving. I am happy to say that it did get better with me following her instructions and I saved myself $650 plus a lot of time spent traveling and being in their office. Before you go there I would do some research online about your problem, get recommendations from several friends and don't be pressured into spending a lot of money before you do a little investigating. . read more

I was involved in a car accident almost 2 years ago.The car accident really messed up my back and neck, my neck was injured the most.I had herniated disks in both.I was in constant pain and could barely turn my head. I was sent to see a orthopedic surgeon, he wanted to do surgery on my neck, and fuse my bones together after seeing my MRI's. I decided to try some physical therapy first, that only seemed to aggravate it more than anything else. After doing a lot of research online, I decided to try and find a chiropractor that offered spinal decompression.I didn't even know if I would be a candidate for it.That is how I managed to find Dr. Yun, and he's listed under our health insurance, which helps. I scheduled an appointment to see him and I took copies of my MRI images and their reports, to see if he could help me.I started going for regular sessions for my neck, and after quite a few sessions he suggested that I try spinal decompression. I went through 18 sessions of that, after completing the sessions, I had full range of motion in my neck. I no longer needed to have surgery ! My neck is still doing great! Which is huge! The spinal decompression is a little expensive, and it's not covered by most health insurances, but it's well worth it. It beats going in for surgery any day. read more
