The standout of the night was the upside-down pizza--it was absolutely phenomenal and easily one of the best pizzas I've had in a while. Every drink we ordered was also on point, including the smoked old fashioned, lemon drops, vodka sodas, and Peroni beer. Everything was well-made and flavorful. The service was exceptional from start to finish. Our server, Matt, was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Quaint Italian eatery in Fells. There are plenty pic worthy areas to capture. The decor is contemporary with some maritime thrown in. I don't usually get desert when I go out to eat because I'm usually full after my entree, but this time I went to Prima Dopo just for an espresso martini and a sweet treat. This was also my first time going to the bar area that they have on the other side. It's super moody, with dark lighting. So nice of you just want to chill and have casual girl talk. The espresso martini (Espression to The Rule) was delish as always but the Bananas Foster Bread Pudding !!!!!!! To die for. The texture was perfect. It was warm and doughy without being too gooey. Super cute restaurant with very friendly service. The restaurant is tucked away in Fells Point but is surprisingly huge so larger parties are welcome. Decor is also top notch. They have cute events like Galentines popups with local businesses and themed drink menus. The creme brûlée filled cinnamon sugar french toast (yes it is a mouthful but it is so good! try the cookies and cream version too.) I tried my friend's marco dopo short rib burger and it was also delicious (the tomato jam gives it a sweet and savory taste) The Le Moxie mocktail is good but not as sweet as I hoped. We had the calamari which was outstanding and the pizza which was good as well & the cluck around & find out was also good. The burger was decent-no real complaints there . The crab cakes Benedict was a big disappointment & not worth the price. The eggs were hard cooked. Definitely missing the runny yolk that you expect with a Benedict. The portion was also really small for the price. I also did not love my aperol spritz. It was a little heavy on the club soda. The Thames spritz & honeydew crush were both really good. However, I dined here again last week for a girls' night out and really enjoyed the experience this time around. We had reservations, which I highly recommend since the restaurant was very busy. All of the appetizers were delicious--we ordered the calamari, beef carpaccio, meatballs, and sweet potato. Surprisingly, the sweet potato stood out the most. The green sauce it comes with is incredibly flavorful and pairs perfectly with the dish. We each ordered our own pasta, and I chose the squid ink pasta, which I thought was delicious. The pasta was cooked al dente, and I really enjoyed the flavor. The only downside is that the pasta dishes are quite expensive for the portion size, and I didn't feel completely full afterward. That said, the service was excellent and the cocktails were also very good. I would definitely come back to try some of their other pasta dishes. read more

Right as I walked in, I noticed the very festive decor from the Christmas tree to the entrance of string lights for the holidays. I loved the inviting feel the restaurant gave. We were seated near the back in a booth that accommodated 7. We ordered drinks and then went straight to ordering our entrees. We ended up all ordering from the pasta section. I went with the mafalde -- veal ragu, grana with a tomato base. I also tried the squid ink chitarra, spicy crab spaghetti, lobster diavolo, and the sausage rigatoni. One of the nicer restaurants in Fells Point with really cute decor. I've been here a few times now for brunch, happy hour, and now dinner recently. The space is a lot bigger than it appears from outside. There is a lot of seating inside along with a back dining room area and a smaller upstairs room for private events with a bar. My experiences have all been pretty good here with solid food and solid drinks. I was with a few friends this time and we got seated in the back dining area. We ordered a couple round of drinks that we all enjoyed. Shared a Bruschetta appetizer and ordered our main entrees. I should have gotten something different but ordered their Spaghetti Limone. It was very plain and really lemony flavored. Pricey for just lemon flavored spaghetti noodles, ah well. My friend's dish - Squid Ink Chitarra, was great which I've also had before and the others enjoyed their dishes as well - Mafalde and Sausage Rigatoni. Service was very slow tonight. I think since we were put in the back, our server who was also bartending, had us out of sight, out of mind lol. It took 15-20 mins every time he came to take orders of something and almost 45 mins for our food to arrive. We were enjoying catching up so it was fine but we noticed the slow service. Other past experiences were good too. Brunch pizza and mimosas were good. Happy hour specials for drinks are great. I like their Tuscan Chicken Lollipop and Meatballs on the happy hour menu. We were in town for a family trip, we went during the day time, the restaurant was really nice. We wanted their lunch menu, but they only serve brunch on weekends. Our server was really sweet, she could tell we were disappointed about not being able to order the lunch menu, but everything was so good we had to go back for dinner and it was even prettier in the evening. We started off with calamari and it was really good because it was crispy and it had a spicy kick to it. The cocktails were great. The pasta was made in house and it was so good. I really enjoyed my meal at Prima Dopo! My husband got the Sushi Style Italian Roll as a starter and I ordered the spaghetti. The food was delicious. Two people ordered a pizza as well which was shared with the group. They have a pumpkin spice espresso martini on their menu right now too which my husband also got. Our server/bartender Brooke was fun and helpful with the larger party and made good suggestions about the menu. My aunt ordered the malfade which was undercooked but Brooke was nice to take it off the check and offer another item instead. This would be a really good date night spot in Baltimore plus they also apparently offer brunch as an option too! I came with a friend on a Wednesday night - she made a reservation ahead of time but I think it would've been fine without one too. The staff were friendly and the food came out fast but the service was slow at the end (there weren't any servers around, we had to actively try to find someone to ring us up and get boxes after waiting for a while since we were in a time crunch to leave). This is the 3rd time I've been here and the service was slow the other times as well. We ordered the beef carpaccio, sausage rigatoni, and the lobster diavolo. The carpaccio was just alright, but both pastas tasted great. For drinks, we ordered the Le moxie and cafe kinda dopo mocktails. I ordered the coffee mocktail without really looking at the price and when the check came back as $13, it seemed rather absurd for a watered down iced coffee. I realized as I was writing this review, that the server incorrectly charged my drink as the alcoholic cafe dopo ($13) vs the coffee mocktail that I ordered ($12) - not that it was a huge difference financially but it was incorrect nonetheless. Prima Dopo is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I was charmed by the environment--super cute décor, cozy couches and chairs, and an ambiance that felt both stylish and inviting. The staff were friendly, patient, and attentive, and the food arrived in a timely manner. I ordered the bruschetta and the Mama's Salad--both were excellent! The bruschetta was loaded with fresh tomatoes, onions, and balsamic, and every bite was bursting with flavor. The Mama's Salad was refreshing, light, and so tasty. For drinks, I tried the Prima Fiz cocktail, which had a unique twist with egg whites. It had a great flavor, though the scent of egg whites might not be for everyone. If you're sensitive to that, it's something to keep in mind--but I personally enjoyed it! I also got a peek at what the table next to me ordered: the cherry espresso martini, filet mignon, and beef rigatoni. They were raving about the rich cherry-coffee combo in the cocktail and said the entrées were absolutely delicious--so those are definitely on my list for next time. This place is located close to the Pendry! Parking was packed for a Friday Night. Everyone was out this night. Bestie made reservations and we were seated a few moments after checking in. When you go in, keep straight and you will see a small host/hostess stand on the left. Cool vibe and beautiful inside. We sat at a high top by the bar. There was also a DJ that was doing a pretty dope job! Our waiter was super nice! He came over and took our drink order. Bestie ordered the mocktail Le Moxie and I just got a ginger ale. Both drinks were good! The mocktail was very refreshing. Then he came back for our food order. For apps, we got the bruschetta and calamari. The bruschetta had a lot of tomatoes on top but it was good. The calamari was spicy and came with jalapeños. Bestie got the rigatoni and I got the lobster diavolo. Both portion sizes were smaller than we thought. The sauce was tasty in both meals however, the actual pasta was not as tender as we like it. It could have gone a few more minutes. It's been over a year now since I went to Prima Dopo - and I heard they got a new chef. My friend and I specifically wanted HH, so after finding out Bunny's was closed due to a private event, we went here for their happy hour. I think Prima Dopo is owned by an entertainment group and you can kind of tell - it feels corporate. Happy hour is hard in Baltimore, but I feel like more places are making it a thing in the city now, which is good. I love getting a drink earlier in the day and a light bite. And in 2025, we're all shopping for a bit of a deal. I still maintain the Prima Dopo is very of the live love laugh era and trying to be very Instagrammable, but I had a decent time. The happy hour features $10 martinis - a Tito's martini for $10 is not bad and it was decent. My favorite item that I was shocked about was the squid ink pasta. I really liked the portion size, and it was really salty and delicious and hit the right notes. I didn't feel super commercially made like a cafeteria kitchen. It wasn't bad. Again, this is not somewhere I think about going to or necessarily want to come back to, but sometimes it's the only option. If you are looking for a happy hour in Fells Point on Thames Street this is a decent option. read more

Prima Dopo was highly recommended to me by friends, so I was very excited to try it. Unfortunately, it ended up being one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. Our waiter left us without refilling our drinks for over an hour and a half, completely forgot our appetizer, and was largely absent throughout the meal. What was even more disappointing was the lack of attention from management. Multiple managers helped run food to our table and walked by us several times, yet no one checked in despite the obvious issues. We felt completely ignored and undervalued throughout our entire dining experience. We even had to ask if there was any sort of discount or accommodation that could be made given the poor service, only to be bluntly told no. Even after expressing our disappointment, not a single manager came over to speak with us or apologize. Mistakes happen, but the complete lack of accountability or effort to make things right was awkward and uncomfortable. Lollipop chicken was 2 pieces exactly. Calamari was well portioned and actually spicy. We got the carbonara and the sausage rigatoni. The carbonara has an additional egg, so eggy flavor of course. The sausage rigatoni was creamier than expected and had a good variety of mushrooms, just a little more bland than expected. We didn't get cocktails today, but have gotten in the past and they are pretty good. I didn't love that they had the front door propped open at first, letting cold air rush into the place. The eventually closed it after I had my jacket on for 2/3 of our meal. Our server was attentive and the food came in a timely fashion. My friend got an omelette and red velvet cheesecake, I got the lobster hash, my husband got the chicken and hash, and we shared the cookies and cream stuffed French toast. Everything was delicious, especially the French toast. I enjoyed my lobster hash but some bites of the hash brown were a bit salty. It would've been nice if there were other seasonings. The restaurant is pretty narrow which gives it a homey vibe. The decor was very "positano summer" esque with yellows, blues, and light wood accents. The bar was packed and multiple bartenders came by to wait on us, service was great! We obviously got some Aperol spritz's, they tasted classic and were very pretty. We started off with the burrata and prosciutto board which was both gorgeous and delicious. Hated that the side of 6 small bread pieces was $3, but the board was definitely worth it. My chicken sandwich was topped with lemon ricotta and prosciutto wrapped mozzarella, it was a 11/10. I upgraded to a side of fries they were very thinly cut and very crispy. I will start with that the food is pretty good. I do not recommend the Italian sushi lol only 4 pieces and underwhelming. The pizzas always are great and I enjoyed the mocktails when we would come here while I was pregnant. I recommended Prima Dopo to my family for my dad's birthday. You have to contact them for larger parties (understandable, main dining room is small) but they don't answer the phone until they're open at 4 so I sent an email. The sales manager was haphazard in communication and I was frustrated to email back and forth ALL EVENING (not an exaggeration, we emailed on and off from 1 PM until I got the confirmation around 8 PM) when it would have taken 10 mins over the phone. When I received my confirmation text from Resy, it said the reservation was for a high top table despite me mentioning twice we had kids/babies in the party. You put a card "on file" (no details about what's done with that afterwards) with a Google Doc that was emailed and they have a $10 no show fee Per Guest. I understand this to an extent but then when someone asked for the bill the waitress said "I was told we have a card on file, it's fine". Nobody asked or told me my card could or would be used for the tab, and so I awkwardly had to speak up and clarify.. yet again. I was so incredibly annoyed with the booking process' lack of efficiency and the lack of communication that it overshadowed our dining experience. read more
