I was hoping for beige highlights and got bright blonde. I asked for a refund and was only offered a "fix it at no cost". I declined. Intervention: Reached out to Vance who did my hair in the past. Don't ask me why I just didn't come back. Vance was able to see me pretty quick and did an AMAZING job!! He gave me beige highlights and darkened the base which I just love. I'm tanned skin so the blonde highlights was not flattering. Evaluation: I am forever grateful for Vance. He is very skilled at his craft. The result was exactly what I was hoping for from the very beginning when I stepped into the other salon. Note to self....i will never see any other stylist. He didn't explain why and I am not sure why there is an appointment system if he wasn't there. I show him a picture of the style I want and he suggested me to get a perm. I explained I don't like perm but he kept asking me to get one before and after the cut. I understood my hair is hard and straight so a perm would make it easier to style, but I would have appreciated him suggesting another hairstyle instead of kept asking me for a perm. The haircut process was very nice though. Alan was very meticulous and it came out pretty nice. It took about another hour for the cut itself. Overall, I think the haircut is good and reasonably priced, but spending 1.5 hour for a simple cut is a bit too long. Maybe it's an exception this time. I would give it another try if I am in the area.

I DM'd because that intrigued me as a potential customer as it's more on the affordable end compared to some salons I've gone to in the past. When Dm'ing , I was showing a bunch of different balayage inspo images I was gravitating towards along with the current state of my hair as he requested which is totally normal but then... Alpher said "...the balayage, color, and toner will be $645". Why is your ad saying it's $245 and now it's gone up $400 for what a Balayage process already should include? A balayage process is literally bleaching, color/toner, foils, etc.. why is he stating that the style itself is like a separate thing of $245 & then the color/bleach and toner would somehow be $400 leading to a grand total of $645? I called him out saying that his ad is misleading and if there are additional fees, to state it in the AD because a $400 jump is actually almost scamming customers who think they're spending HALF of what he jumped it to... Not here to ruin his business because I think he is great at his work but I am pretty shocked at how this "professional of 20 years" responded by blocking me rather than explaining why it would jump to that price out of nowhere and not correcting his AD. Misleading to grab customers tbh.. Please do better. Trust is built with existing and potential clients.

I had an extremely upsetting experience here with K-tip extensions that ultimately resulted in…read moresignificant hair loss and thousands of dollars spent. During my first install, Mesut applied a keratin treatment over the K-tip bonds after installing them. When I questioned it, he assured me it was fine. Shortly after, the extensions started falling out. I returned and was charged again for another install. I was told the hair would be removed because of the keratin treatment and then reinstalled. By the third install, I was upsold to longer hair, which was noticeably thinner than what I previously had and ended up costing even more than expected. I told him I would actually prefer shorter hair if that meant the extensions would be thicker, but he assured me he would get better, thicker hair on the next install. At the fourth install, with new hair, instead of using thicker extensions, multiple K-tip bonds were melted together into large pieces during installation. When I noticed this at the end of the appointment, I became very upset and started crying. He told me he had done that to make the hair thicker, since I had said I wanted thicker hair. I returned the next day for the fifth time to have the problem corrected. He only removed the large fused pieces from the top of my head. The ones in the back were not properly removed -- instead the backs of the bonds were cut down because the large fused pieces were stabbing my scalp. Eventually I had to go to another salon to have everything professionally removed, and during that process a large amount of my natural hair came out with the fused bonds. This situation cost me thousands of dollars and resulted in the loss of a significant amount of my natural hair after multiple attempts to have the installation corrected. I will not be returning.

I specifically asked if the stylist understood the issue and knew what needed to be done, and I was assured that they did. Unfortunately, once the haircut started, there was no communication about how much hair would be removed. The very first cut on the sides was much shorter than I expected, and at that point there was no way to undo it. If the stylist had explained their approach or confirmed the length with me first, I would have had the opportunity to say that it wasn't what I wanted. What disappointed me most wasn't just the final result--it was the lack of communication. When a customer brings reference photos and asks questions beforehand, I expect the stylist to explain the plan and make sure we're aligned before making irreversible changes. I left feeling that my concerns and the reference photos were not really taken into account. I hope the salon can improve communication with customers in the future so others don't have the same experience.
