Absolutely terrible! I think I'm 100% done with this chain. I'm sad because it used to be my favorite especially when I lived in Pittsburgh. Not only did my black god mother experience racism then got very ill at a Pittsburgh location, but my parents and I had a waitess with gross old grown out long dirty acrylic nails putting her thumb nails directly into our food as she served our plates at this location in the Millcreek mall. We were so mad and disgusted after a long seating wait, dirty sticky table, long food wait, and getting dirty food crusted silverware we had to send back. Love coming here as it is as staple for us when in the area. Restaurant & bathrooms were not very clean & staff seemed a little lost on what to do on times. Some staff just wandering or chit chatting when there were tables to clean. Staff was friendly though. Portions are always huge but these sandwiches are supposed to be hot & all 3 we ordered came out stone cold. Unsure why. Hopefully when we come here next time it will be better. read more

Grabbed a pizza to go. It was our first time trying this place since we were here for the weekend and didn't know about any good places. The price included THREE toppings! We were thrilled. We got tomatoes, extra cheese and pepperoni. The pizza was delicious. The crust was crunchy on the outside and a little chewy on the inside. Perfect for me. Bottom crust could have been a tad thinner but I am a foodie so for most I'm sure it is fine. The best was the tomatoes on the pizza were cut so there were no seeds, just the meat of the tomatoes. But now i may never go back .They have a 10.99 special which we have gotten the last 4 or 5 times we have been there they over charged us 2.50 each meal the last times we went there . I saved the receipt and asked to see a manager he said it was the girls fault then when I said the other servers did same thing numerous times he blamed it on corporate he changed the price on that days receipt but said the old receipt he couldnt do anything with. We really enjoyed our visit for dinner. We had been to this restaurant a couple of years ago. We are not local so we don't get the chance to go often. Our waitress was very attentive. We liked that the kids meals came with a little fun pack before the meal that included gold fish. Everything was also very reasonably priced. $10 for a huge sandwich is unheard of around us locally. Both of our sandwiches were great. If we lived closer, we would definitely eat here regularly. We also had the giant pretzel and that was good as well. 5/5 across the board. No complaints. read more

The food is usually always good and consistent . The problem is usually the service at the bar. We always appreciate a bartender who advices us of beer and food specials, which has not happened once while we were there . We saw, after the fact, the special signs hanging behind the bar on a lower cooler blocked by where the bartender takes our order. If your tips are based on good service wouldn't you try to offer that ? We had refused to go there for awhile because of other service issues at the bar and thought we would try it again. Went here on a Monday evening and the place was pretty busy, and of course noisy. They have a cool bar and tall tables in front of windows. They also have a row of lower tables toward the back. Our waitress created us and took our drink order. She told us about the 59 cent wings Sunday/Monday special and explained that all sandwiches contain fries, cheese, tomato, and coleslaw. You can get any of these put on the side, and I went with the coleslaw. We ordered the wings half honey buffalo and half buffalo. We also ordered the steak sandwich. The wait time to get the food was over 30 minutes. The steak sandwich was really good, and even though I got the coleslaw on the side, I ended up putting it in the sandwich. Very tasty. The wings came up about 15 minutes later and they were crispy like we ordered them. The Buffalo wings were very mild and the Buffalo Honey wings had a bit of spice to them. They are breaded and I noticed they were missing any kind of kick to them. I'm not sure if I would order them again. The winner here was definitely the sandwich and I look forward to trying their different ones the next time I'm in, such as the Pittsburger. read more

Visited here while we were in town for the marine ball in November 2019 and it was delicious. Wait time wasn't too bad and the food didn't disappoint either. There are many options to choose from to satisfy whatever your craving. I highly recommend their milkshakes and their burgers are good too. I usually only have fries but I ate everything that's how delicious it was. The only reason I'm it giving it 5 stars is because our waitress clearly didn't know the menu and couldn't answer any of our questions we had about alcohol or the food. Her response was I don't know I'd have to go ask and I'm not sure I'm new. If your staff isn't confident in the menu then have another waiter or waitress help them or provide your staff with more training before they serve alone. read more

I've been wanting to eat at a Primanti Bros location since I first heard about the chain a few years back. Since I started working in Erie once a week I figured now would be the perfect time to try one of these big ol' sandwiches for myself. The menu here is a bit overwhelming and since it was my first time I really struggled on what sandwich I should try. After much deliberation I settled on trying the "Pittsburger" because I'm a sucker for a name like that. I called ahead and the food was ready quicker then I expected (which is always a pleasant little surprise) and like the savage animal I am I ate it right in the parking lot. The Pittsburger is basically a cheeseburger with coleslaw and French fries in the burger instead of being served on the side. Now, I hate coleslaw but being that this is what the place is famous for, I had to try it for what it was. On top of what was already on it I also added bacon to mine because (well, because I wanted bacon) of some important reason. I was hooked from the very first bite and didn't stop until I had a few bites left to save for the next day. The burger itself was absolutely incredible and even though I didn't enjoy the coleslaw part of it, it didn't make me hate the burger or anything. Overall, I'm a big fan of the Primanti bros Restaurant and can't wait to come and try some more things in the future. The food was awesome, the restaurant itself looked super awesome, and this is probably on the top of the list for best in Erie, so I come check it out! read more

I got the BLT Tots which sadly bad nearly no "B" on it (bacon) so it felt more like I was eating a tater tot salad. If you know what this place is you already love it. If you don't - try it. There are many things you can order here but if you are new to this chain - order a sandwich with fries and coleslaw on it - the original location started a thing across the country that is considered Pittsburgh Style sandwich and it started with this chain before it was a chain. I consider the chain to be a Max and Erma version of the original which I really like. The purest out there will prefer the greasy hole in the wall original. It I like the expanded Cheesecake Factory model they adopted when they took this chain national. Place is always busy so expect to wait for a seat. Love this location attached to mall but also like the location in Grove City Outlets and Mars PA. This is a destination chain for me I would drive an hour out of my way to add to a trip! read more
