The chicken was dry meat but soggy breading, the pizza had good crust as advertised but was plain and ambiguous, corner deli slice stuff. This is the best traditional pizza shop Cheesesteak I've eaten in a long long time. When I saw the lettuce on the bottom I was concerned there would be very little meat in this cheesesteak. Much to my surprise there was a sneaky good amount of meat and the meat was very well seasoned. Everything in this Cheesesteak work very well together and it was put together very well. There was cheese everywhere in this cheesesteak. The onions and mushrooms obviously spent time on the grill together and work very well together. Parking, tables, bathroom, TV and everyone was as nice as could be. Very good overall experience. read more

Love the pizza here. Though last time I went in. I got a little freaked out. It was a Friday night and Prima's pizza is absolutely a good time. I went in to pick up two pizzas and some wings. Normally the service is A+. This time, and older fella with a beard came over. Couldn't tell if he was the owner or just a dick. he was yelling at his staff. he said "for the 3rd time, I'll say this" anyone who says "for the 3rd I'll say this" is normally kind of a dick. Felt bad for the staff. They were working hard. Bearded Cranky fella should stop saying things 3 times and maybe be a little nicer. But I'd happily paid for the order and asked for a couple extra blue cheeses for the wings. He told me they'd cost me an extra 50 cents and that's fine. So I asked for 2 and gave him a dollar. Then he said "75 cents now. These are now 75 cents, I now want a dollar fifty". Weird, I dropped 30-35 bucks on pizza and here he is hustling me for an extra couple quarters. He was super serious about hiking up the price on me in front of everyone. Didn't want to rock the boat. So I gave him his extra 1.50 and headed out. Really the food is great, though I haven't been back since bearded guy got all awkward and creepy over the blue cheese. We love Primas and have been going for 3 years. The last night 3 times we have ordered delivery over the last 2 months we have not been pleased. The first 2 times it took 50 mins for us to receive our food. This past week it was 1 hour and 10 mins and when we received it, it wasn't correct. Our one meal should have come with crab fries and it didn't. The other order we upgraded to include crab fries and it also didn't come with them. With that meal we put our extra money for it. We only live 5 minutes away and each time I called to see what the hold up was and they said...." they are in route". From the initial phone call where the person answering the phone seemed as though it was an annoyance to take the call to the botching of the simple order i'm always amazed at how places stay in business. The only saving grace is that the pizza is good. We have ordered from Prima's many times over the past 7 years. It used to be one of the best places for wings and hoagies in Hockessin. However, over the past year the quality of food and service has really declined. I ordered a buffalo chicken cheesesteak about a week ago and got a soggy BBQ chicken abomination that tasted horrible. The last straw was our order tonight. My wife's burger was the most pitiful thing I've ever been expected to pay for. The bun was rock hard and inedible, and the burger itself was the most dried out,pathetic piece of jerky I've ever seen. I can definitely say that I will never order from here again. read more

They have good pizza, great wings, a clean and courteous staff/kitchen etc. On Saturdays they have a really good and fun music duo called Mountain and The I, a larger guy that plays guitar and a drummer who plays an acoustic drum with a lot of piercings. These guys have a good following and they sing and play songs we all know by heart. I have seen the drummer in a few other acts over the years in the Delaware area. These two have really good flow and are worth coming out for alone, just wished they played later as 6 is early. They start at 6 and end at 9. We went into Prima's today to use a restaurant.com gift certificate. I had it pulled up on my phone, and they weren't willing to take it even though they are supposed to based on the way it works. That would have been ok with me, except that the owner came out and was very rude and aggressive with me. I asked him if he could please read the information on the certificate that shows we are supposed to use it over the phone, but he refused to even answer me. He just kept saying that he wouldn't accept it on the phone. We left fairly upset, and told him they lost our business. He continued to be aggressive, and the other person I was with pushed a menu towards him. He threatened my friend with legal action, and told us we were no longer welcome there. His used foul language and raised his voice excessively. It was a very stupid escalation. He did not need to be so rude, and I would expect that as a small business owner, he would want to honor his commitments to his customers. I paid full price for the restaurant.com gift certificate and like to support local business. Unfortunately, I won't be returning there, because I don't want to support a rude and aggressive owner. The food is great, but the experience I have there every time is subpar. This was the last straw, and I'm no longer willing to take his abuse. read more

My wife and I were in the mood for buffalo chicken cheesesteaks and had just recently received Prima's pizza menu a few weeks ago so we thought we would try it. After placing outer order it was delivered on time but the delivery drive looked like he just left the local bar. After paying he handed over the bag and it was soaked in grease. Went to the kitchen and opened the sandwiches and both of them were soggy and didn't look appetizing at all.
