Went New Year's Eve w a 7:30 pm reservation. Very crowded but didn't wait long to sit. Our meals were all delicious and cooked to order. Our servers were attentive and very professional as well as friendly. I had the salmon w sticky rice and Bok choy. Delicious. My husband and two friends all loved their beef and loaded potatoes and ordered creamed spinach. This is a byob which is nice too. Seating is a bit tight but was fine. Prices seemed over expensive but they have a great menu and excellent food quality. We will be back! read more

Delicious experience and our waitress Jen was a gem! We're from Staten Island where our food is pretty much one of the best around but Prime 13 gave me a similar vibe which is hard to touch! Great job ! Jen our waitress grew up in Point Pleasant and was very sweet and gave us some great local tips! I'm very big on service and Jen was extremely attentive! Our meal was great I had the recommended steak that was on the special menu and we tried the pork chop and the Scallops everything was excellent and we'll be returning soon to try some other items ... thanks Prime 13 for the great experience! they charge $65 dollars for a rib steak that looks like it was purchased at Walmart probably 1/2 inch thick. Half of which was fat and could not be eaten. The creamed spinach ( a la carte) looked like it was made with mayo thick and sickening, brussels-sprouts (a la carte) dried out like just coming out of toaster oven. When the waitress volunteers that she will not recommend a steak beware. All in all the worst dinner we had in memory. Nothing near a chef just cooks. Would not mind but they are on the pricey side and did not deliver. No wonder more than half the tables were empty. read more

A steak had to be sent back because it was undercooked, it came back undercooked again. The owner came and spoke with my pregnant wife about her steak, but because she is a woman he would not listen to her and tried to claim that his three kids were going to suffer because of her. Completely unprofessional. I had to speak up and say something because he was seemingly unwilling to take the word of a woman, but immediately accepted what I said and left us. I live in the area and even the owner would have been polite and professional I would not be recommending to friends and family. At this price point i expected more. This used to be my favorite place for steak. Tonight the service was awful which ruined the evening. We asked for "the wood" (the most expensive thing on the menu) steak not to be fired up until we requested because we were having the special cheeseboard. The waiter, Travis, had an attitude after the request and ignored us most of the evening. We had to call him over for everything. He walked around the dining room but didn't look at our table at all. The steak was delicious, but the waiter completely ruined our dinner. They did not give us the 13% off the bill that was advertised for Wednesdays and Thursdays in December. The recent poor reviews kinda baffle me. The service was great, the food was great and it was a really nice evening. My wife and I came here for an anniversary dinner on the recommendation of her cousin. We were sat right at our reservation time. The dining room is small so on busy nights I can see how some stragglers can make turning tables over slower than expected. We were attended to quickly by our waitress who was knowledgeable about the menu and happy and helpful. We shared oysters for an appetizer which were delightful. My wife got the seared tuna and I had the surf and turf. We were both very happy with our meals. Portions were generous too, we didn't have room for dessert which is unusual for us when we go out for a special occasion. The place is BYOB which is another win in my opinion. Contrary to the experience of many other Yelpers, our waiter and the rest of the staff all had mask on and provided good service. Ever since the new owners took over the food and the service have been so much better. Last night we sat at the chefs table and I ordered the Scallops to start. I cleaned the plate, even all of the poblano and peach chutney!! I had to stop myself from eating all of the cheddar biscuits with herb butter and apple sage jam so I could save room for my main. I ordered the Piedmontese steak which came with asparagus, onion rings, hash browns, and the most delicious sauce. As if that wasn't enough, the chef even sent over their new handmade braised filet mignon ravioli with a white wine garlic sauce and wild mushrooms! I wanted to lick the plate clean. This was our first visit and it won't be our last! We went for my husbands birthday. We were welcomed immediately by staff into lovely atmosphere. Amy was our waitress and she was wonderful! Very knowledgeable about menu-helped me narrow down my choice for entree. Food was just fantastic! Beyond expectations! My husband had grilled ribeye -best he ever had. Good spot, pretty reasonable for a steakhouse. The sides are smaller than I would of liked but if you get a tomahawk (which I would recommend), two sides and a salad are included for about $100. Sides wise: lobster Mac n cheese was very good but not really worth the extra money that it's charged. The mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts were good. Simply amazing! Our server, Travis, was perfectly in tune with our vibe. We started off with a dozen oysters, perfectly shucked and fresh... delicious. We each had a salad (house for me and Caesar for my husband). I've seen places that mess up salads but this want it. Mine was super crisp and the fennel vinaigrette was delicious! My husband said his Caesar was among the best he'd ever had and he loved the garlic crostini instead of croutons... nice touch. We got the tomahawk ribeye and it was perfect. I had an accompanying béarnaise, which was delicious as well. Mashed potatoes were awesome and the asparagus grilling brought a nice smokiness to the sweet spears. We had to have dessert - cannoli tacos and all I can say is if you like cannolis, get this and you won't be disappointed. Separate from the food is the camaraderie you see amongst the staff. Everyone really seems happy to work here. Kudos to leadership on this one. We live far away but definitely recommend this restaurant who come this way. Visited Prime 13 for Mother's Day. Disheveled male host immediately had an attitude when our table was not ready for our reservation. We ended up being sat 20 minutes late. We were told we could go have a walk to the liquor store to take advantage of Prime 13's BYOB policy. Waitress was kind, but entirely absent. She essentially hid from us a majority of the time because she knew the kitchen was backed up. We saw her twice, once to take our order, once to tell us the kitchen was backed up and offer us more bread which we never received. We were served our food at 9PM, 2 hours and 15 minutes after our reservation should have begun. Four people at our table, four steaks were either over or undercooked, had to be sent back, waitress was apologetic, but that doesn't excuse the obvious non-use of a meat thermometer or cook level check in the kitchen. Still genuinely confused about the random pile of 4-6 julienned sweet peppers and sun dried tomatoes on the plate with the steak. Waitress told us sides were a la carte and large enough to be shared, they were not shareable, she should have been able to tell us that pretty clearly, instead she said, if they're not big enough, you can just order more! (And wait another hour!) Atmosphere is loud and crowded, they very obviously pack as many people as possible into the small venue to make as much revenue as humanly possible, at the expense of quality and comfort. Do yourself a huge favor and avoid Prime 13, go to Gabriella's in Red Bank, NJ. They are able to offer the experience that Prime 13 attempts to. read more

The server, I believe her name was Kayla, was good but looked like she was shorthanded with staff like everywhere else but she did her best. I would give her a 4/5 stars. Been here several times but not in past 2 years so I was looking forward to a great steak, unfortunately it was a dissapointing. Salad was good, but after waiting almost an hour for main course the tomahawk was under cooked and tough, you can fix undercooked but you cant fix tough, it was not tender and of low quality not what you would expect from steak house. The spinach was sour and not tasty at all. The twice baked potatoe was ok. And the vanilla cheesecake tasted sticky and dense instead of light and fluffy, was also just ok. So I have not been back here since Covid began. Before going in I told myself I wouldn't judge any restaurants for service since most places are currently under staffed. The service wasn't terrible. Bridgette was our waitress and was running all over. For appetizers we had pork belly and spicy shrimp. All were good. We all got the house salad which was ok. My disappointment comes from the entrees. Two in our party shared the bone in tomahawk ribeye. It was cooked perfectly at a medium rare. Two other couples each shared the surf and turn. Which was also cooked perfectly. I had to be the odd ball and get the crab cake. After two bites of bread I smashed the rest looking for crab. I found very little. It was a bread cake. I pointed it out to the waitress and she said she was surprised patrons usually love their crab cakes. I asked her to show me crab. She went back and asked the chief. She came back and said the chief didn't prepare the crab cakes so he couldn't speak for them. Hold on what?!?! So I had two bites and was charged for the meal. Thirty four dollars for a bread cake is ridiculous and I won't go back. Shameful for upscale dining. Dessert we had Crem Brûlée and the warm apple cobbler. The apple cobbler was not good at all. Next time in point I'll go back to poached pear. They have two crab cakes for the same price and it's mostly crab. read more

Fantastic experience! Incredible food and service always. The lobster carbonaro special was fantastic. Some of my staple favorites are the cream of spinach as a side and the lemon blueberry cheesecake for desert. Blue cheese fondue and chimichurri sauce always a great addition to their steaks. Great flavor but not cooked medium. I didn't send my steak back. I should have. One other issue, instead of bread they give you pretzel sticks and were told if you want more they charge you.
