What a great dinner... We decided to drive up to Point Pleasant for our last dinner of the long weekend and point Lobster Bar & Grill was the choice. When we arrived at about 5:40pm the place was packed so it took a few minutes for us to get seated, but no biggie because we didn't make a reservation (if you're here in the beach season, it's a MUST). We got seated in the bar area, but it was right by the window so it was a fantastic seat. Only down side was there was a guy playing music right next to us, but he wasn't super loud so it was fine. Our server, Matthew, was over fairly quickly to take our drink orders. Wifey ordered a Ruby Spritz and I had the French Pear. Both were delicious. For our appetizers my wife started with baked clams and I ordered the Drunk and Angry clams (steamers with lager and cherry peppers) and like the drinks, both were excellent. I was really happy with mine as the level of spiciness was perfect. We also ordered two white sangrias with dinner. Server suggested getting a pitcher if we were going to have more to a one, but we had a bit of a drive and didn't want to chance it. Great job on his part. My wife ordered the Crab Stuffed Flounder - very rich and tasty, but two plates of stuffed food was a little too much. I ordered the Pistachio Crusted Halibut special with jasmine rice, bok choy, and a lemon sauce. WOW it was great. The halibut was ever so slightly overcooked, maybe 60 seconds, but the FLAVOR was amazing. I love bok choy so this dish was a home run. We were too full for dessert, so that was it. We really loved this place and our server, Matthew, was great - friendly and engaging. I would 100% return and try another entree here. read more

Great location on the main strip with commercial fishing boats off loading at their dock. Casual, relaxed, byob, with top notch professional servers. We had a tuna app that was sushi quality tuna over crispy wonton nachos. Incredibly good! We also had medallions of Hudson Canyon Swordfish with wild gulf shrimp over Japanese style rice. 10 out of 10 good! Added a classic New England Lobster roll! Darn good! Stopped in for dinner recently on a Saturday night. Hubby wanted lobster bisque and their special beef Wellington appetizer. He liked the flavor of the soup but it had only a little of lobster bits on top. His beef Wellington was cold and he thought it would be hot. So they took it back and he got crab stuffed shrimp instead. He enjoyed that. I got fettuccine with bacon and clam sauce. It was delicious! Lots of whole clams plus the minced ones. The bacon made it extra good. Our drinks were fine. Staff were pleasant and professional. We got there around 5:30 and it wasn't too crowded, but it was packed by the time we left. We drove by this restaurant on the way to our beach house, and we both knew we wanted to eat here. Very cute on the outside, located in a cute little shopping district. (We happily did some clothes shopping next door after we ate) We both ordered lobster rolls and split the bisque. Everything was good. But nothing had the wow factor. Was a bit disappointed with this place, maybe my expectations were high, it did have a good ambiance but the table we were seated was very tight, we went as a party of 7 and the place was not to crowded so we could have had a better place. The restaurant was empty only a party of 4 and a family of 5 Were in our room!We waited a very long time for a food to arrive well over 30 mins almost 45 min! My friend got the fresh tuna which was delicious however was covered with a plate of a type of chip! My choice was a special chicken sandwich! Very bland no condiments very dry, no pickle I only ate the fried chicken since I was so hungry! Was not worth it! I did manage to track a gentleman down and ask for mayo and got tartar sauce instead! I decided to bring my husband home a $30.00 Lobster Roll plater! What a complete waste of money! I didn't know that they opened a bar and grill location where you can enjoy their fabulous seafood with a pour of your favorite drink. The restaurant space is large and has several seated areas along with a few bars. When we stopped in for brunch on a Sunday there was also a live musician which was fun! The menu has all of the seafood classics like fish tacos and sandwiches, lobster rolls, lobster bisque, etc. I kept things light with a ceasar salad which was super refreshing and came with lots of fresh parm. My hubs lobster BLT was a sizable sandwich with a generous amount of fries. Service was speedy and friendly and they have a bunch of tap beer and cocktail options.
