What a great dinner... We decided to drive up to Point Pleasant for our last dinner of the long weekend and point Lobster Bar & Grill was the choice. When we arrived at about 5:40pm the place was packed so it took a few minutes for us to get seated, but no biggie because we didn't make a reservation (if you're here in the beach season, it's a MUST). We got seated in the bar area, but it was right by the window so it was a fantastic seat. Only down side was there was a guy playing music right next to us, but he wasn't super loud so it was fine. Our server, Matthew, was over fairly quickly to take our drink orders. Wifey ordered a Ruby Spritz and I had the French Pear. Both were delicious. For our appetizers my wife started with baked clams and I ordered the Drunk and Angry clams (steamers with lager and cherry peppers) and like the drinks, both were excellent. I was really happy with mine as the level of spiciness was perfect. We also ordered two white sangrias with dinner. Server suggested getting a pitcher if we were going to have more to a one, but we had a bit of a drive and didn't want to chance it. Great job on his part. My wife ordered the Crab Stuffed Flounder - very rich and tasty, but two plates of stuffed food was a little too much. I ordered the Pistachio Crusted Halibut special with jasmine rice, bok choy, and a lemon sauce. WOW it was great. The halibut was ever so slightly overcooked, maybe 60 seconds, but the FLAVOR was amazing. I love bok choy so this dish was a home run. We were too full for dessert, so that was it. We really loved this place and our server, Matthew, was great - friendly and engaging. I would 100% return and try another entree here. read more

Great location on the main strip with commercial fishing boats off loading at their dock. Casual, relaxed, byob, with top notch professional servers. We had a tuna app that was sushi quality tuna over crispy wonton nachos. Incredibly good! We also had medallions of Hudson Canyon Swordfish with wild gulf shrimp over Japanese style rice. 10 out of 10 good! Added a classic New England Lobster roll! Darn good! Stopped in for dinner recently on a Saturday night. Hubby wanted lobster bisque and their special beef Wellington appetizer. He liked the flavor of the soup but it had only a little of lobster bits on top. His beef Wellington was cold and he thought it would be hot. So they took it back and he got crab stuffed shrimp instead. He enjoyed that. I got fettuccine with bacon and clam sauce. It was delicious! Lots of whole clams plus the minced ones. The bacon made it extra good. Our drinks were fine. Staff were pleasant and professional. We got there around 5:30 and it wasn't too crowded, but it was packed by the time we left. Was a bit disappointed with this place, maybe my expectations were high, it did have a good ambiance but the table we were seated was very tight, we went as a party of 7 and the place was not to crowded so we could have had a better place. Service was good and menu have good options. We went for the seafood boil and it was blah! We tried a few apps: the garlic shrimp, which I wanted to be a little more garlicky and buttery; the crispy calamari, which the table thought was okay; and the surf n turf fries which absolutely stole the show. I would've ordered them again and again had I known they were going to be so good! We also had several entrees: the paella, which my friend enjoyed; whole lobster special which was served for 2; point lobster roll which was delicious but I did request more butter for it; lobster ravioli which my husband thought was good but came in a brown sauce, which was a little surprising; and a cheeseburger which my friend also enjoyed. Service was good, too. If I was rating on the surf n turf fries alone, it'd be a 5. They are by far the best thing we ate all night. Even though the restaurant and bar was very busy the service was very good, and quick. My husband and I split an order of baked clams to start off. The salad was literally some crunchy wonton noodles and lettuce. The restaurant space is large and has several seated areas along with a few bars. When we stopped in for brunch on a Sunday there was also a live musician which was fun! The menu has all of the seafood classics like fish tacos and sandwiches, lobster rolls, lobster bisque, etc. I kept things light with a ceasar salad which was super refreshing and came with lots of fresh parm. My hubs lobster BLT was a sizable sandwich with a generous amount of fries. Service was speedy and friendly and they have a bunch of tap beer and cocktail options. The restaurant was empty only a party of 4 and a family of 5 Were in our room!We waited a very long time for a food to arrive well over 30 mins almost 45 min! Very bland no condiments very dry, no pickle I only ate the fried chicken since I was so hungry! Was not worth it! It was good, but not the best lobster roll I've had. Pretty average. We went during brunch and also got the Burrata salad which was very good. My husband got the lobster omelette and really liked it.
