    Beef Wellington appetizer
    Judy S.

Stopped in for dinner recently on a Saturday night. Hubby wanted lobster bisque and their special beef Wellington appetizer. He liked the flavor of the soup but it had only a little of lobster bits on top. His beef Wellington was cold and he thought it would be hot. So they took it back and he got crab stuffed shrimp instead. He enjoyed that. I got fettuccine with bacon and clam sauce. It was delicious! Lots of whole clams plus the minced ones. The bacon made it extra good. Our drinks were fine. Staff were pleasant and professional. We got there around 5:30 and it wasn't too crowded, but it was packed by the time we left. The place is clean and we could park easily across the street.

Solid seafood bar and grill. Huge beer list and tons of items to choose from on the menu. We had the clams appetizer, shrimp cocktail and some raw oysters & clams. Everything was good, clams and oysters were all fresh just a tad sandy. My mixed seafood spaghetti was really good and a generous amount of seafood, i'd get it again for sure! Very solid dinner option if you're in the area

Went to Point Lobster in Point Pleasant, NJ What a gem! Point Lobster hits all the marks -- live band, great vibe, incredible food, and top-notch service. Crab cakes, Clams Asparagus, Sautéed Spinach and Fried Calamari were great! The atmosphere was buzzing with energy, but still relaxed enough to enjoy a night out. The seafood was fresh and perfectly cooked (as you'd expect from a place with "Lobster" in the name), and the staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Whether you're coming for the music, the meal, or the beach-town feel, Point Lobster delivers. Can't wait to come back! Thinking next Sat!

PROS: Friendly staff, live music, rustic atmosphere, good food, prices were decent, menu variety plentiful CONS: The coffee was warm, not hot. The bathroom was extremely cramped and the service was slow OVERALL: I would definitely come back here, but I don't recommend getting the coffee

We drove by this restaurant on the way to our beach house, and we both knew we wanted to eat here. Very cute on the outside, located in a cute little shopping district. (We happily did some clothes shopping next door after we ate) We both ordered lobster rolls and split the bisque. Everything was good. But nothing had the wow factor. Lobster roll could have used a little more butter and the roll wasn't toasted much. I like a bit of crunch to stand up to the lobster. The bisque was creamy and loved that it was topped with lobster pieces. Overall happy with the service.

Nice lighting and clean. Very busy. We ordered fish and chips, point lobster roll, and chicken franchise with rice. The fish was fresh, and perfectly cooked. It was fillet and not your typical frozen fish. The point lobster roll was delicious. It was better warm than the typical cold that I have had. The chicken franchise was tender. We substituted rice instead of linguine. Overall the place was great. Would definitely go back again.

New Orleans style oysters are in NJ!!!! Food is amazing. Most come for the lobster roll however - stop the presses!!! Charbroiled oysters are amazing. NOLA style and fantastic

Went for lunch today. Lobster rolls were tiny and definitely not worth $30. Service was disappointing. Won't go back.

Not yet but if I remember correctly the owner told me they will possibly start taking reservations in March.

I recently tried their new spring menu and everything hit. Apps: Crabby gabby sushi roll -- my fave at a B2 restaurant and I loved it here as well! Bruschetta burrata -- abundant and the burrata was soo fresh. Baked Mac and cheese with lobster -- the creamiest mac and cheese and big chunks of meaty lobster. Scarpiello wings -- sticky and savory perfection. Could've made a made off this alone! Entrees: Pan seared scallops with polenta -- the scallops were nice and tender and seared very nicely. Linguine & clams with red sauce -- very generous with the clams and the sauce was flavored very well. Cheesesteak -- tender, juicy, huge portion and served on amazing bread. Deliciously cut fries too. Drinks: Berry loca margarita -- not even a big marg person and I loved this. Spring fling sangria -- my friend downed hers! Dessert: Chocolate lava cake -- oozing with chocolate. Sooo delicious. Can't skip this! Service was awesome -- our waiters were so friendly and helpful. I like the cozy and rustic vibes of the restaurant, makes it a welcoming spot. Definitely will be back.

B2 Bistro+Bar was close to a restaurant we finally agreed on, but was closed that Sunday. I am actually happy it was closed because B2 Bistro+Bar was exactly what we needed that day. I had a Snow Globe Martini ($16) which impressed me with edible glitter (yes I am a chid at heart). We shared the Bruschetta Burrata ($20), which was good but they gave us only 4 small slices of toasts. My friend and I both thought they should have given 6 minimum, especially because 2 of them had huge hole in the middle so did it even count? lol For main I ordered a Prime Burger ($22) and my friend a Creamy Cajun Alfredo with Shrimp ($38). We genuinely loved our food. The space was large and spaced out. There was a 360 bar in the middle of the space. Nicely decorated for valentines day with strings of hearts falling from the ceiling/ lights. When we are in the area again - I think I would like to come back and try other things on the menu.

The host under-promised and…read moreover delivered - the text announcing our table arrived after a 25 minute wait instead of the forecasted thirty-five. If you are coming later in the season, I would try to reserve. First up -- some nice slices of warm crusty Italian bread and butter. I ordered a cocktail special - the Kelle Belle (or similar) which reminded me of a Pimm's cup. La Portena had her usual Riesling -- no complaints. Lobster bisque was one of the hits, the typical rich broth, with the not so typical actual lobster meat - small bits to be sure, but so often there is no lobster at all. We also shared a lobster roll as a starter - it was good but I would have preferred larger chunks of meat - the roll was accompanied by some tasty tortilla chips. Next up, a complimentary salad - this was fine. I ordered soft shell crabs - they were perfectly fried meaty specimens but the french fries and cole slaw seemed like afterthoughts- the plating was haphazard. La Portena's flounder stuffed with crabmeat was a better plate overall. Two fresh small filets, stuffed with a savory filling and some good mashed potatoes. The glass of New Zealand sauvignon blanc I chose to accompany the crab had the strongest grapefruit nose I have ever experienced. I know these always taste of grapefruit, but this wine was over the top. No room for dessert. Our server was warm and pleasant, and the entire experience transported me back to shore dinners with my parents in the 70s. I would return.
