My friend suggested we try Prime623 tonight for dinner and drinks. I read some of the reviews and had mixed feelings but my own experience here confirmed some of what others had to say. It is a small restaurant but nicely decorated. We were seated right away but were left for about 20 minutes before the waitress came back to offer us water or asked for our drink order. After our drink order was taken it took about 30 minutes to get them. When we ordered a 2nd round that took another 20 minutes and she only brought 1....I waited about 30 minutes if not more for that one. Now for the food...appetizers took forever to come out and our entrees took another 40ish minutes to come as well. For appetizers we ordered the ackee & saltfish tostones, wings, grilled corn and fries....all very delicious! The actual entrées however was not as tasty. I ordered the salmon and my friend ordered the lamb chops. The salmon was very salty and the lamb chops were definitely overcooked. Overall, if you want to come for drinks....great but as for the food...I honestly would not recommend. Almost forgot to mention....the DJ was awesome. read more

Let's talk about the food. The food was really good, we really enjoyed the food. I recommend the prime pasta with shrimp that was delicious. For the drinks I had the coco loso and that was really good. Our waiter was really nice. The service there is A1. Now the ambiance is nice, and small. My only issue at that spot is that the tables are way too close to each other u have no room for movement. And, if u taking someone on a date for the first or second time I wouldn't recommend going there because the music is crazy loud lol. I highly recommend this restaurant. read more

Visited this establishment on Superbowl Sunday and I'm so glad I went. Great customer service, got seated quickly. Firstly the drink, " the primarita" is a 10/10 drink. Enough liquor and the muddled fruits balanced the drink. For the meal the tacos were also a 10/10 . I really have no complaints about this restaurant at all . Everything ordered was top notch , fresh and arrived to our table quickly. This restaurant also has hookah, so if you're a hookah lover this is the place for you . EXCEPTIONAL!!! Went to celebrate my nephew's graduation. I was leery at first. But they far exceeded my standards. I had mussels that were better cooked than any I've ever had at a seafood restaurant. My son had the calamari- perfectly breaded and cooked to perfection. My oldest had the taco which he enjoyed. The music was fantastic. Will definitely be back without the kids. There was no hookah-I generally avoid establishments that hv hookah (no knock on anyone just not my vibe). Drinks were well made with quality spirits. Our waiter felt like family and checked on us regularly. The bus boys were also friendly, respectful and helpful. Great job Prime 623!! My husband and I met friends here last Saturday night at the bar and were very disappointed since food took forever to come out and there was only one guy working behind the bar, it took forever for us to get his attention to get a drink, he came back to me 4 times after to remind him what the drink was. I was hesitant to order another Don on the rocks 2 lime wedges, Henny on the rocks and a Red Bull but I did , I watched him eventually pour 2 drops from an empty bottle onto ice and hand it to me. I visited this restaurant back in December and was disappointed with the experience. Once seated, I ordered a Don Julio Blanco. One I tasted the drink I knew immediately it was right. I told my waitress and she assured me it was. The owner/manager also came over to try to reassure me as well. When I went over to the bartender, he said he ran out of Don Julio. So I stated... you just gave me anything thinking I wouldn't notice? He didn't even respond. First impressions last forever and my impression of this restaurant is that they have integrity issues. The menu was extremely limited... as soon as we walked it, they told us more than half of the menu was not an option because they had issues with the kitchen. They said 5 items are available... once seated the waitress told us about 10 options... another integrity issue. We had Buffalo wings... which were good. The chicken fried rice was ok. Where do I start? I came in a Tuesday where they had a live band and babyyy the band did their thing! There was also a live DJ. Both had me rocking in my seat as I ate, drank and watched the NBA games. The Ackee and Saltfish Tostones were really good. I've been to prime 623 two times for happy hour since it opened. The location is small but decorated well. The happy hour menu has recently been reduced a lot which is a bummer. Me and some friends from out of town slid to this spot as I had heard a lot about it. It was a Friday and it was packed by 6:30. We had to wait for a table and then we had to wait for dinner. The place was so packed that the kitchen was backed up. It took about 2 hrs but well worth the wait. The owners gave us drinks on the house they were hospitable it was great and the food was bomb. We came at 7:15 pm on a Saturday before it got crowded and had our pick of tables. The restaurant is small but tastefully done and had a nice DJ. The waiter took our drink and food orders right away, and went over it with us to make sure everything was accurate. We decided to share 4 appetizers and a lobster fried rice rather than pick entrees. Everything was delicious, and not overcooked. We had the barbecue wings, grilled shrimp, jerk chicken tacos, and roasted corn on the cob. The drinks were great and the hostess went out of her way to make my rum punchwas6 colorful and delicious! She flirted with my date the whole night and treated herself free shots on his expense. Didn't even ask. She said "how about I bring back shots for the three of us."
