The vast majority of this inventory are returns, overstock, dead stock and damaged boxes. Once in a while you may find non Amazon inventory in brand new condition. Quality of products can be hit or miss since you're basically buying products sight unseen from Amazon without the benefit of return guarantees. The website categorizes items (New, Open Box, Pre-owned, Incomplete, Damaged), but it's "buyer beware" so you have to be diligent. Calculation tip: factor in the 15% + $2 fee, then sales tax per item before bidding. There are various rules in play when it comes to claiming your items so be sure to read and understand the FAQ. One rule to emphasize is appointment times and deadlines. Don't delay making an appointment once it gives you the clearance to do so. Appointment times fill up quickly and if you miss it, you forfeit your purchase without refund and a penalty fee. Also be sure to come within 15 minutes of your appointment time. They cannot accommodate early arrivals or extremely late arrivals. Of course I learned this the hard way. Bring your own tape and box cutter to the warehouse so you can inspect your haul on-site. If there's an issue, you need to email them immediately. Make sure you have everything that you came for and that they are in the condition listed. The company gives you a short window regarding disputes and returns. It's a bit of work, but the savings can be worth it. read more

We were trying to return something, and of course -- a brand-new program update had just rolled out. What used to be "return to any location" is now "return only to the original store." And we found this out mid-transaction. Sean had to be at work. We were on a clock. The math was not mathing. This is where Alex comes in. Instead of defaulting to "that's the policy," he actually worked the problem. Checked the system. Asked questions. Double-checked options. Explained what changed without sounding defensive about it. He was helping other customers in between assisting us, but never once made us feel like we were in the way or slowing him down. That balance? Not easy. He kept the energy steady -- friendly without being fake, conversational without losing focus. You could tell he takes pride in doing things correctly. And somehow, despite a system change that even he had just learned about, he found a way to make it right that day. No unnecessary runaround. No attitude. Just effort. Parking here is usually... a competitive event. I've circled that lot before like I was hunting prey. But this particular day? Shockingly calm. We got a spot quickly, which felt like the universe cooperating for once. The warehouse itself runs efficiently. You check in, they retrieve, you're out. It's not glamorous -- it's functional -- and that's the point. The only real note is that the new return policy probably needs clearer communication so customers aren't caught mid-surprise. But honestly? The way Alex handled it overshadowed the inconvenience. We'll keep coming back. We always do. We somehow accumulate an unreasonable number of trinkets and "why did we bid on this?" treasures from here. Alex deserves recognition. When frontline staff choose to problem-solve instead of policy-shield, it changes the entire experience. If you see him at the desk, you're in good hands. ATTENTION: This is Justbid.com. They rebranded as JustBid. They are the same company. Warning: Every auction you will be charged 15% of the selling price plus an additional $2.00 fee so calculate that in your bids. I see many people paying for things higher than retail price. The first picture displayed does not always match the exact item you receive and neither does the description so fully review the full auction details and pictures. Always open up every item you receive before leaving and confirm you have each item and all pieces. I've received the wrong item twice and incomplete items twice within the last month from the Commerce pick-up and Belvedere pick-up. If you are able to schedule a pick-up appt because you've purchased 5 or more items, schedule the pick-up because it's much faster. It could be the difference between waiting a few minutes verses 45 minutes Pay attention to pick-up times and get your items before they expire. I think the pick-up times are ridiculously limited (purposefully) Plan to spend anywhere from 15-45 minutes waiting for your item at pick-up if you pick-up without an appointment. The Commerce location is the worst for parking so be prepared for this. I've purchased a lot of items for fractions of the retail cost. I generally would not purchase electronics on bidding sites but might take the chance for inexpensive items or something that is a good deal. I purchase a portable charger for $6 with fees that would have cost $20 retail and it hasn't let me down yet. I've purchased all kinds of things and generally have had a good experience after some initial trial error. read more

Went for my appointment and paid but they give items cause it was not prepaid. I rented a truck now have to pay twice for it. I've been a Prime Auctions customer since September 2021, when they had their warehouse location in Rando Cordova. Altogether I've spent over $1K at their shop. At Prime Auction, you're charged immediately after "winning" and have "4 days" to pick up. Day one is the day you receive your invoice/receipt, so more like 3 days. They're open half of the week at odd hours. No extensions and auction closing times are chosen by Prime Auctions. My story is -- I came in on the correct day and they were understaffed. Rather than wait for 2 employees to help the 40+ people an hour before closing, I decided to come the next day. The next day I was the only customer. The particular teenage worker with glasses and medium-long hair that I spoke to immediately changed his tune and spoke aggressively when I explained I had a $100+ invoice a day late. Maybe he's the guy who always delivers bad news because his unwillingness to listen and aggression seemed normalized. "Nothing I can do. BYE!" The guy couldn't be happier to tell me my money was gone. Additionally, Prime Auction's "premium (15%) fee" and additional miscellaneous fees inflate the prices of your Prime Auction winnings to Amazon's used prices without guarantee of refund, return, or even preinspection of the product's conditions (such as working electronic or stained fabrics). On another note, BidRL skips all that. They charge you when you pick up. If you don't pick up, you pay a small fee. You have 10 days for pick up too, with an extension upon request. Everything is broken or not as it appears. I understand it is an auction and "as is" to an extent. But when broken stuff is auction led off as "appears new" and when you open it, it is very clearly been used and abused. It's good for little stuff but the merchandise (that I have purchased) cannot even be repaired. So more money to take it to the dump. read more

I'm giving two stars only because I'm an experienced bidder, like to fix stuff and know how to enforce my consumer rights. Most buyers won't. Yet I too have been burned here. Prime's business model depends on that. Prime routinely mislabels as "new" items that are clearly used, dirty, or incomplete. Products often don't work, are damaged or different from the listing: I've received literally completely different items than those described in the auction. The solution in every case? The new-since-April-2025 "Justbid Wallet" credit--with an (unlawful) one-year expiration date. No refunds, and no accountability. This isn't an online wallet, it's a $inkhole. Getting your items? There's no shipping--only pickup at one of two warehouse sites miles apart in Sacramento. That requires planning, patience, and a flexible schedule. Lunchtime, for instance, is a nightmare with long waits. If you're not an expert at bidding, evaluating, and repairing returned goods--or don't know your rights under Regulation Z (look it up: special rule for credit card purchases)--you'll probably lose money here. When you factor in the 15% buyer's fee plus $2 per item, your "bargain" may end up costing more than the same item on Amazon Resale or eBay: and those sites offer return policies, low-cost shipping, and actual customer service. Even Craigslist is often a better bet. Factor in hassle and risk before you bid against a less-savvy but determined rival. One more thing: some have noticed odd discrepancies in bidding patterns. Does Prime employ illegal shills to bid up prices on high-ticket items? On justbid's opaque, proprietary platform, it's impossible to know. I have purchased many items that require electrical power of some sort, most have not worked, requiring repair. Even though they were listed as new, they had not been tested. Recently I purchased some bedsheets, but I didn't get bedsheets. I got tennis shoes. In order to rectify the situation, I would have to spend 5 gallons of gas, my time, provide a copy of the dispute Email and bring the item back in the original box with all the labels. You can only do returns at certain times. If approved, it will take several days to get your money back. Check out their business license. Lots of false information. I plan to file with the Better Business Bureau. If you want to get scammed, this is the place to go. Be very careful because the price you bid is not the price you pay, take a good look at all the fees they charge. read more

I've purchased items from here in 2022 and again in 2024. I've been satisfied with my experience. There has been 2 instances were the item I won was either clearly used despite being listed new, or was a different item altogether than what was listed. I don't really care, as I prioritize getting my stuff and getting home fast. If mistakes/different items are something that bothers you, I recommend looking at your items carefully and then bringing it up your concern politely to the staff. I see the employees sweating in the heat and bustling to get items to customers quickly. Anytime I've needed a refund, I received it quickly. I love the setup- it's easy to buy and pickup. Prices are good. I've taken off 2 stars because I've purchased so many broken and used items that were listed as NEW. Quality and accuracy have decreased as they've expanded and moved to this new location. Sure, I should check before leaving but staff should do a better job checking items for ensure an accurate post. read more

This place is a ripoff. I spent $31dollars on some used sheets. The description said new. So is new stained sheets with a pair of someone's worn underwear in them???? Totally disgusting. Fool me once and I'm telling anyone and everyone I know to never try this place. Also sold me a dirt devil that was missing a part. Prime Auction deceives people by wrong titling and posting the original price of the item much higher to attract people. Their descriptions for the items posting are rarely happen to be true; most of the time they are lying. For example, most of their items are used; however, they post it new. Another example is that there may be different producer for an item with different prices when you search it in Amazon. Prime Auction is giving you the highest one as a reference though their item quality worth lowest. read more

Despite researching the size of a box online before I bid on it, a futon would not fit in my backseat even though it was able to be folded in half in the box. The auction house's coordinator I believe his name was Mike was absolutely amazing and after trying four or five different ways to get the box in my car he also helped tie down my trunk and reorganized everything that was in my trunk into my backseat and also called another young man out to help us so I really want to thank him and he went above and beyond the call of duty. He's out so very well organized and everything is running much more smoothly since he's been employed there. I think he deserves a raise LOL! read more

Items that are not as described they will take back for a refund unless they are marked as used Pick up process changed much quicker now 10-30 min max Don't come Saturdays, very busy also they now have scheduled pick ups if you have more then 10items. I would give them zero stars because they OUT RIGHT LIE on the auction description. They say "new" and when you receive the item it's missing MAJOR parts to assemble the product. I've tried talking with support at support@primeauctions.com and they NEVER try and remedy the situation or accept refunds. Even though what they are doing qualifies as false advertisement, I wouldn't be surprised if they get sued and a class action ensues. read more

stupid long lines to check in and then long wait to get items. Although just about everything says new, it returned damaged, broken etc. And, if they take a "new" item back on return it takes weeks for them to process. This place is getting a horrible reputatio. I suggest they hire more front end staff to get the lines moving. A wait time of more than one hour on multiple occasions is just in acceptable. Next time, buy your stuff at Costco and save your time and money. read more

the 2 stars is for the semi helpful customer service. if you live far from sac then don't bother because I live in sf and since I'm not really able to double check the product before leaving the place, return will be a pain. I bid on a pre-owned Babytrend jogger and won the bid. I picked up the jogger, brought it home and opened it up only to find a used and disgusting stroller, not a jogger. It was not even close to the picture they posted. Not only was it NOT what I bid on, but it had a dirty diaper in the bottom of the old stroller. So basically, I asked for my money to be refunded and they want to charge me a 15% fee for a pre-owned product!! Excuse me, but I didn't pay for a disgusting and filthy stroller, and its not even the same brand!! I would never buy from this place again!!
