I got to say The best Indian food in Tehachapi. The first time I went there they blew my mind. I didn't think a small town would have a good quality Indian food. Pricey but worth it. I take my family there once a month. Four of us spent probably roughly $80 with alcohol drinks. Well worth it and The customer service awesome. read more

Excellent food, nice clean restaurant, I had No. 72, veggies in a great sauce, ordered it mild- medium and it had a good amount of heat but not too much. The other dish was a meat combo on a platter of onion and peppers served on a hot pan ( ours wasn't very hot, but we were going to take it home so we could cook the vegetables more) the meats were well done and a delicious sauce came with it. Fast survice during a busy time, which we appreciated. We would eat here again. Burgers and fries looked good too. It is like 2 restaurants in one. read more

The food here was incredible. It's clean and well kept. The service was good and the owner came to talk to us and he seems like an extremely nice gentleman, which makes sense with how nice of a place they have. We had the vindaloo, tiki masala, and garlic naan. Couldn't tell you which I liked better because they were all incredible. Vindaloo was spicy at a medium, which it should be. Amazing flavor though, not just hot for the sake of hot. Tiki masala had a sweet basil hint with the creamy sauce that made it not as spicy, which it shouldn't be. We ate there for our first time this evening. The food was delicious and quite filling. I had the Butter Chicken stuffed with spinach, mushrooms and a large serving of basmati rice. The creamy tomato sauce went so well on the rice it was hard to stop eating when I got full. Hubby had the sampler plate with shrimp, chicken, salmon, lamb and beef kabob meats! Ordered takeout. Naan, chicken tikka masala, fish pakoras and lentil soup all were spectacularly good! We always eat here when passing thru Tehachapi. As good as any Indian food I've eaten in Berkeley and Berkeley has great Indian restaurants. Five stars! read more

We ate there Friday evening and I can't wait to go back. Everything was excellent. I had lamb Karahi # 49, plus we ordered some of the breads, 3 cheese Naan and Garlic Basil Naan which I could have made a meal of and jalapeño poppers. They have a large selection of dishes to try. Plus, they have hamburgers which are handmade and steaks for the folks who aren't as adventurous like my husband. Once this pandemic is over and we can go back to normal they have a full bar with the ability to have bands or a DJ. They have only been open for a week or two and I think they did an excellent job we were seated, waited on and served all within a normal time frame. For a new restaurant they did great. read more

One of my favorite places to eat The food is delicious, service is good. My only suggestion to the owner is they and you the food menu and drink menu, but when you go to order a drink if it's before 4:00 you can't get one. So it is always a hit or miss with their own drink menu. If you're not going to serve drinks don't serve the menu please. Makes no sense to me. And it makes for awkward moment with the server when they have to tell you sorry we can't serve you any drinks. read more

We were there last friday night 4/22 expecting something good the dining room had no heat on,, the room was 60 degrees, i was shaking to eat my soup...eating in a cold room with no heat when its in the 40's or below outside shows a gross insensitive to management skill. they were out of Hamburger but never told us until two of the three of us were finished... they went to the store and served it about an hour later.... with no credit on the bill the lighting they use are these new white bulbs which makes you feel like you are in the waiting room of a hospital emergency room... i cannot believe they get away with this.. why i did not say something then is beyond me.. maybe i could not wait to get out of there and into my warm car m maybe there was no one who looked like a manager on the floor (on a friday night!!) My boyfriend and I went to this restaurant last night just because it was near the hotel we were staying at for the evening and because they had the game on too.....and what a huge surprise, the dinner was beyond EXCELLENT! This was a complete accident as we only opted for this spot in the middle of our road trip to be able to stop and catch MNF game. When we arrived there I noticed Indian cuisine and opted for Chicken Tikki Masala, it was one of the best dinners I have had! Service was awesome and helpful, so glad we went!!! read more

OMG! I absolutely LOVE Indian food! I live in Orange County and me and my sister frequent Little India in Artesia where the Indian food is amazing! It can be challenging to find really flavorful Indian food at times. I was visiting my friend in Tehachapi and Holy Smokes was the Indian food here beyond exceptional!!! Sooo good can't believe tehachapi is going this hard. love that you can customize the spice level, we had 8 people in our party each with different spice taste levels and each dish was perfect. Samosa chaat was soooo good....meal in itself. Perfect flavor level to every dish and soo filling. The customer service made me feel so welcome and at ease. The best veggie tetrahedrons in town!! This was my third attempt to secure food from this new Indian restaurant in Tehachapi. My first attempt failed when fell sick just before going out. My second attempt was foiled when they closed down due to some water issues. Today was a success. My wife is allergic to most Indian food, so I do not get a chance to eat it often. Other than my neighbor's home cooking, I have not had any in over 10 years. So I loaded up. I got an order to go. It took them about 20 minutes from phone call until the food was ready. The staff was friendly and the place looked nice. I will definitely dine-in eventually. I got one order of their Veggie Samosas (comes with two). Huge mistake. I should have placed four orders. They were extremely delicious. The best veggie tetrahedrons in town!! Truth be told, I've never bet a samosa I didn't like. But these were pretty good. I will order samosas every time I come here. I also ordered the Onion Cilantro Kulcha and Garlic Basil Naan. Both very awesome. I'm not sure if I have ever had Kulcha before. This was outstanding. Finally, I had the Lamb Seekh Kabobs. They were served with mostly onion and some slivers of carrots and I think peppers. Mostly lamb and onion. Very good. I definitely recommend. Although I am looking forward to trying some chicken masala. The best news is I have leftovers! read more

The only reason I didn't put 5 stars is because the cost of the food for the amount received wasn't equitable. I love Indian food and they have some of the best !!! My only issue with it is the level of spice that can be picked isn't consistent! The first time going I got a level 2 spice and it was perfect the next time I got a level 2 I was a fire breathing dragon !! An amazing experience! After a long day of travel we decided to eat at the restaurant next to our hotel. An excellent decision as their menu and service are first rate.
