I originally called for an appointment and quote. They gave me approximately $700 after insurance. Went the next day since I had horrible tooth pain and was seen promptly at my appointment time. We did X-rays even though my family dentist already sent theirs over(which is fine because maybe they want inspect further.) They said I needed a root canal and told me to wait outside for a quote. That's when the service started going downhill. I was quoted over $1000 after insurance, they were going to charge my insurance plus me paying $1000 cash. I felt like the price was unreasonable since I did a estimate on my insurances website so I said I'll have to think about it. Immediately on the spot they offered a 25% discount, good for today only. After that happened I knew that they were doing shady practices and declined. They further said what price I will be fine with doing the procedure today and they will ask the doctor to see if he will be okay with. I declined since I thought the whole process is bad practice. I then asked for my x-rays so I can show another clinic, they said they would e-mail it but I never got it. Lol. At the end, they asked me for payment for my deductible - all while charging 3% extra because I chose to pay with credit card. lol.

Secondly, why have me wait to ask if I don't mind being seen by someone else, to then change your mind and tell me I need to reschedule to next week. No thanks, I will not be bringing my business here. Very unprofessional receptionist and schedulers.

I waited months for my procedure because we…read morewere waiting on Medi-Cal approval, and throughout that entire time, communication was extremely poor. They repeatedly said they would call and follow up with insurance, but they didn't. We had to constantly chase them down ourselves just to get updates. After finally getting approved, they scheduled my procedure a month in advance--only to call the day before and cancel, saying the dentist was sick. They also said they couldn't reschedule at that time. What made things worse is when we called back with Medi-Cal on the line, they gave a completely different reason, saying the dentist had a family emergency. They couldn't even keep their story straight. This level of disorganization, lack of communication, and inconsistency is unacceptable--especially when patients are waiting months for necessary care. I would not recommend this office.

I stopped by to get x-rays and have my teeth exam and I was getting ready to hear a lot of bad news. Knowing that I had not visited the dentist in about 8 to 10 years I knew that there would be work that would be needed to be completed.. The dentist was very helpful with letting me know the severity of it, but at the same time showed optimism and made me feel comfortable. Not only are we looking into the repairment of my tooth but also he explained to me the things that would be needed to be done in order to restore my teeth. I had plaque built up and my gums were very swollen with numbers high as fives and six which is not great and he explained to me that it would take a few appointments of deep cleaning and laser treatment in order to restore them. The appointments that I've had with them have been painless, and they have always made me feel comfortable while visiting them. This really helped me overcome my fear of visiting in the dentist and I actually do look forward to seeing them for my next appointment. They have a strict policy to charge patients a $100 fee for late cancellations, yet they feel entitled to unilaterally cancel a confirmed oral appointment on their end just because you missed a couple of phone calls. When you follow up, they casually push you out by weeks. Their management is chaotic, and their business practices are greedy and unprofessional. If you value your time and expect a clinic to honor its own agreements, look elsewhere. Absolute dealbreaker. Stay away!

My husband had a root canal performed by Dr. Stephen Ferraro, and the experience was incredible. He was so comfortable during the procedure that he actually fell asleep! If you've ever been nervous about getting a root canal, this should tell you everything you need to know about Dr. Ferraro's skill and gentle approach. The reason I'm writing this review today, though, is because we received a check in the mail for an overpayment we had made. They could have easily kept the money, and we never would have known the difference. Instead, Dr. Ferraro and his staff took the time to identify the overpayment and proactively mail us a refund.
