It was a little tricky to get someone on the phone for an appointment but once I did, the process was smooth sailing from there. I was able to get in the next morning. The office was a nice atmosphere. I was brought right back after filling out my forms. Staff were friendly and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. I loved getting to choose the music I wanted to listen to and appreciated them giving me time estimates throughout the MRI. I have been referred by Dr. Louis Coates for a sonogram of my jaw. I have been unable to contact ANY Rayus location to schedule an appt., as I am placed on hold by your automated answering service. I would tell you how long I was on hold each time, but my patience expired before any of your staff picked up my call. I am still in need of the sonogram. What could've been a 5 ***** now deserves only ONE Star! I went to Rayus for 3 X-rays (1 for each hand & 1 for my hip) - I was told that after insurance, my part was $40 - So, I paid that onsite (same day). Everyone was very nice, and I decided right then that going forward, THIS is where we will go for our Radiology needs Sands forward to today ... I received a call from their billing (collection) department saying I still had a balance and to please pay online or call them. I immediately pulled out all my paperwork and confirmed that MY portion stated "Patient responsibility is $40." I called the location directly, talked to Lisa in Billing - she told me that they bill "per scan/procedure" - I recapped the original conversation I had that same day... she said "Okay"..... (crickets) I said "Okay, what" she said "I'll make a note" I replied, "I don't owe that... I am not paying for that because, if I had been told that was the process, I would NOT have had the scans with Rayus (I'm sure they rely on people not knowing this - it's DOUBLE $$ for them!)! She said again, "Okay," I said, "Okay, what?"... she said, "I'll make a note that you're not going to pay it." I asked her... "So, if I were to get an MRI with & without contrast, would it be a separate billing (to insurance) for each one?" She said, "YES"! I said, "Well, that's dishonest and unethical..." (Guess what she said?) ..... Okay... "I said, "Okay, what?" lol (I can do this all day!) So basically, if you need more than ONE X-Ray, go somewhere that isn't trying to take advantage of you by lying about the charges!! As I read other reviews, I see that it's mostly about billing... which supports MY review!! I'll bet their billing & collections dept is FULLY staffed!! When it's a good review, it's not a billing issue... I am so disappointed that this turned out to be a scam-type Company ... just out to take advantage of folks needing radiology services. So much for wanting to use them in the future! I know I am NOT the only one that this has happened to... I will never go there again! I originally planned to write a good review... but being "nice" to customers isn't the big picture! There are SOOOOO many holes in their process... Here are a few... 1) If I had 3 X-rays, why was there only ONE invoice to ME, but multiple to the insurance Company? 2) I was quoted a cost... but they billed otherwise 3) Where's the Customer Service? Let me start off by saying that I was only referred here but never actually became a patient. As others have stated I was on the phone forever trying to set up an appointment. I live in a subdivision about half a mile from this location and I was about to just walk over there to try and set up an appointment. I waited for about 25 minutes before someone answered. When they answered I was wanting to make a same day appointment if possible but the lady on the phone gave me so much attitude. She told me that the dr sent over the wrong diagnostic form, she made me feel like it was my fault. I asked her what that means and she huffed and puffed before finally telling me that she was going to have to call the dr. They called me back TWO days later to make the appointment, by that point I had called my dr and was referred somewhere else. Rayus had an earlier appointment available than the location I ended up visiting to get my scans done, but just on the interaction with the appointment person I was put off. read more

Got the bill in 2 weeks. PCP said they still hadn't sent results. Called during business hours but was sent to voicemail, so described the situation. Never received call back, PCP still doesn't have results, and it's been over a month. They essentially cooked my meal, set it on the counter in the kitchen, and expect me to pay for it. I'm not paying this bill. As far as I'm concerned, services have not been rendered. Hope I'm not dying or anything, but I'm in serious pain. Edit: Ben B. has offered to accept a message from me to resolve the situation but has not enabled messaging. I'm getting automated calls from the business about paying my bill and my doctor still doesn't have the results. 3 months later and I'm still in a lot of pain. THEY SCREWED UP MY INSURANCE CLAIM & ARE BILLING ME FULL AMOUNT I did the normal paperwork when I visited Plano for an imaging last summer. There was a place to agree to take financial responsibility, also normal if insurance doesn't cover. I signed. I got a bill 5 months later showing no insurance was paid and billed me for full amount. I called my insurance company and they said it was COVERED 100% but had been coded incorrectly and claim should be resubmitted with corrected code. I conveyed this to Rayus. They showed no interest and said it was impossible to resubmit. Called doctors office and left many messages asking for recoding and response. Now I'm being bombarded with duplicate invoices. I'm disgusted with this situation, Rayus and what feels like their bait and switch operation. Complaining now to Better Business Bureau. Rayus is not a reputable company. Don't use them. read more

1. They were 1 hr late for my appointment. 2. They did not provide me the CD of my MRI. I had to request it at a later time and make a separate trip to pick up the CD. 3. It takes ~48 business hrs to obtain the radiologist's report. In summary, complete lack of concern for the patient's time. read more

I had to receive an MRI of my head where you have to the mask locked down and I am incredibly claustrophobic. Unfortunately my medicine did not kick in time so I was a disaster. I started hyperventilating, them my chest started hurting due to stress. First the music was too loud and then I could not handle any at all. My whole body was shaking. The staff was amazingly patient with me, encouraging and kind. I am usually calm person and I was mortified with myself. They never made me feel bad, they were in short amazing. Total scam!!! Bait and Switch! My insurance recommended Rayus because it was cheaper. Insurance representative quoted $473 before my visit. When I showed up, the receptionist told me $390. I paid $150 on the day of my visit. I later received a bill for $619. When I contacted Rayus billing, and my insurance, I was told the $473 and $390 were "estimated costs." Totally deceptive and dishonest on the part of both Blue Cross Blue Shield and Rayus. read more

My Doctor sent orders for some testing. They have called me once to schedule, when they called I was at work. Since then I have called 3 times and set on the phone over 20 mins finally hung up! I had an appointment for an xray at this facility and they turned me away. I had COVID and my breathing was difficult and my Methodist doctor sent me for the xray. I was 14 days out from my positive COVID test and the CDC now recommends 5 days of isolation. I was asked the standard COVID symptoms questions and I told them about my shortness of breath which I explained could also be a blood clot according to my cardiologist and they still refused to do the xray. They refused to do the xray because of the one symptom of COVID I had which was why I was getting the xray. I will never use this place again and I will suggest to everyon I know that they never go here. read more

You can't call in to the actual location, and every service rep that has answered has seem disgruntled, annoyed, and anything but helpful. I have tried to get an MRI for six weeks and while I get that they have no control over insurance, I have twice scheduled since getting insurance approval and I somehow got left off the schedule the first time, and scheduled when they were closed for lunch a second time. read more

Unethical Pricing - I called to get pricing on an MRI. I want to self pay for my MRI, but their customer service rep said I could not do that, because I have insurance and they need to go through insurance. There is a significant price difference between self pay and insurance price. I do not feel that this right or ethical. It would only cost $425 for the MRI if I self paid. Outrageous!!! read more

If you take your health as seriously as I do, I strongly suggest not going to CDI Richardson for any diagnostic treatment. This was the absolute worst medical experience I have ever had. They postponed my MRI citing an equipment issue. They eventually called back to reschedule assuring me the equipment was operating perfectly. After the MRI my doctor told me the images were unusable. When I contacted CDI they said the images were fine. Eventually, after many attempts, they agreed they were unreadable. When I asked them to stop billing me they refused. I had to contact senior management several times to get a reply. After constant pressure, they agreed to not bill me. Can you believe any business would keep billing their customer after knowingly providing a faulty service? Let along with a life-saving service! This took many months to resolve and caused tremendous stress. They even sent my account to a collection agency. Here is the worst part, I have to get a second MRI and once again subject my body to harmful radiation. Please avoid this place. read more
