So this is a gem that everyone should stop in to enjoy some amazing coffee. We recently visited NY and I'm a super duper coffee lover. Prime Grind was definitely on my coffee list. The bright colors give this place character a unique scenery compared to the neighborhood. What can I say about a place that has all the great pros and no cons? The bakery is healthy/vegan options. Our boys enjoyed the vanilla donuts, and the banana bread with Nutella (freaking amazing) my wife had the matcha tea, and I had a coffee that the owner created for me (OMG) it was so good I had another to go. While we sat there the neighborhood traffic that came in and out of this establishment tells me this place has it. I grew up in Brooklyn but to see a coffee shop that isn't a name-brand coffee shop winning makes me smile. We saw people enjoying a great ambiance and working but happy. Brooklyn is usually mad, but now they have a cure (Prime Grind)! Support this coffee shop because they have what it takes to keep the neighborhood right. Also, they are serving healthy options instead of regular sugar products. Kudos to Prime Grind coffee shop and appreciate the love put into this establishment.

Stopped by after my appointment. I got a cold brew with almond milk. The shop was full with customers and clean. The gentleman behind the counter seemed a little upset but he was quick with my order which was great.

Cute coffee shop. Stopped in since I have an appointment in the area. Very clean and spacious. Nice variety of coffee, teas and pastries. They had an amazing Neo Soul Playlist playing while I was there!

Cute coffee shop with a chill vibe. Felt calm as soon as I walked in. The person working the counter was friendly and answered our questions. I got the London fog with a shot of espresso 10/10. Wish I lived closer because I would totally return. You can tell they know what they are doing!

Best banana bread I've ever had in my life. I don't know what they did to make it so soft and moist but I want to marry it.

The mango is not a syrup, it's a puree for +$1 and I got it with oat milk +75c which came to about $8 for the latte. The matcha flavor wasn't too strong and it wasn't overly sweet. It hit the spot! Super sweet and helpful staff, and it's a cozy spot with seats to hang out for a bit!

Starting with the staff, everyone is so lovely including the owner who I've had a few sweet chats with. They take their time with the orders (in a good way) and it makes me feel like they are creating my beverage with care. Moving on to the food, I haven't had any but the baked good always smell delicious when they're being warmed up, especially the Everything Roule. (I've definitely got my eyes set on that one for my next visit.) I love that some of the baked good have Indian spices. I've never thought about having a Masala pastry before but now thanks to Coffee Break Cafe, I want one. Last but certainly not least, I came for the Matcha Lemonade and stayed for the fresh house-made Strawberry Matcha Lemonade. Yum! I've gotten this drink during both visits and will absolutely be getting it again during my next visit. I'm so glad I randomly decided to check this spot out on my walk to Flatbush because now it has my heart.

Like, we-think-you-don't-have-a-day-job kind of late. Noon-ish. On a Tuesday. I don't know who their target demographic is, but it's not anyone with a functioning calendar. When you do manage to show up during their elusive open hours, you're greeted by... well, "greeted" is generous. The staff makes you feel like you interrupted their private cheese cult meeting. Don't expect warm conversation -- unless you're the cheddar. There are free samples, which I respect. If you're feeling broke and brave, you could turn it into a little snack crawl. And the cheese? It's fine. Not bad. Not transcendent. Just... cheese. Maybe you'll find something aged and interesting, or maybe you'll walk out wondering if Trader Joe's would've hit the same for less. Someone was waiting for their coffee that was being made, as I entered, and the barista did not look up or acknowledge me for quite some time. After the barista was done, making the first person drink, he then helped the patron who came in after me and still did not acknowledge me. Finally, after that patron had been helped in their drink was fully made, did I get acknowledged. I ordered the cheddar chive biscuit, and almond croissant, and a plain croissant. I took my pastries home and heated up the cheddar rye biscuit to enjoy, which was dense, but could have been made better with some additional cheese melted on top. The almond croissant was freaking great!! Specifically the almond slices on top and the delicious sweet filling within. The plain croissant was good as well, nothing out of the ordinary.
