My husband was scheduled to have surgery and went in as directed and prepped for the surgery. Moments before they put him under the surgery was stopped. It seems that the lady who is in charge of seeing that everything is ready, and all equipment is there failed to do so. She forgot to order the prob that was needed so the operation could not happen. I questioned her about having to pay for this, she said there would be no charge. Well, they billed my insurance over $27,000. Now when I brought it to their attention today it was oh well, we have to charge for him being prepped. That's a lot of money just to prep someone. Don't you think so. (Wouldn't have even been there if they would have notified us and the doctor that they made a big mistake). I say the employee that messed up should have to pay for it. It was her fault that the surgery was not done and not ours or our insurance company. We didn't mess up, she did. And because she messed up my husband had to wait two months for a new date. He suffered a lot of pain, and the mass grew in size. This is just very wrong. I believe if you are in the business of helping people that you should do it. I even ask for a number to talk to a supervisor and she said I would have to email or mail my complaint. What a racket! If you have a choice to go to another hospital I would.

Me sorprendió muchísimo que una clínica/doctora tratara así a sus pacientes. Me mudé aquí aproximadamente tres semanas antes de enfermarme y necesitar atención médica urgente. Mi mamá me habló de esta clínica, dijo que me verían de inmediato pero que tendría que pagar. Me arriesgué porque realmente necesitaba atención médica. Entré y esperé 15 minutos para que me pasaran, y otros 30 minutos para que me viera la doctora. Me atendió la Dra. Yasmin Funes en esta ubicación. Al principio estuvo bien, me preguntó si prefería inglés o español, le dije que "cualquiera está bien" y comenzó a hablarme en español, pero fingía tener dificultad para explicarme su diagnóstico. Sacaba su celular para traducir en Google palabras como "blanco", como si no supiera cómo decirlo. Luego me dijo que creía que tenía faringitis estreptocócica (strep throat) y me recetó medicamentos. Yo no tenía esos síntomas y le pregunté si creía que era adecuado. Ahí fue cuando todo se vino abajo. Subió la voz con un tono condescendiente y comenzó a regañarme, como si le hubiera ofendido mi pregunta. Me dijo que iba a recetarme tres tipos de antibióticos más esteroides, o que podía hacerme una prueba y regresar en cinco días para obtener el medicamento correcto. En ese momento necesitaba urgentemente antibióticos, así que acepté solo para poder sentirme mejor. Al salir, me retó a regresar a decirle que ella estaba equivocada si no me sentía mejor en unos días. Se fue de una manera absolutamente grosera. Tuve que pagar por tres tipos de antibióticos, una inyección de esteroides que no necesitaba, y una prueba que aún hasta el día de hoy no me han llamado para darme los resultados. They miss scheduled appointments regularly. Always make excuses of why the were unable to keep their word. After meeting with nurse Yvette to set up a plan for my mom while I was out of town, she called the cops in bad faith, to report neglect a few days later. Thankfully, after speaking with the officers they sided with me, affirming there was absolutely ZERO NEGLECT, due to everything being thoughtfully planned out and prepared for my mom. There are other companies that provide solid care and work well with families. This is NOT one of them.

I wish we had placed our Mom in a different home. My Mom was suffering from dementia while she was…read moreliving in the Palmdale Senior Villas for 15 days. My sister and I visited my Mom often while she was there and stayed for long hours. We payed extra money to have a dedicated care nurse for my Mom, but while we were there a nurse would come in maybe once in 5 hours. My Mom would often smell of soiled diapers that were never changed while we were there and on one occasion my Mom would have chocked to death if her friend Tony wasn't there visiting. There is 1 caregiver taking care of 6 people which is standard but in this case not sufficient. The night shift is even worse. The night my mom died we couldn't find anyone to help us. There was a guy sleeping on the couch in the living room who we thought was a visitor but it turned out he was the caregiver. The owner of this facility Jojomaureli Salamero , is not hands on and lacks empathy and compassion two traits needed to run home.
