I just ate dinner at this spot and the food was great. However during our meal, this party sitting next to us shouted "SHUT THE **** UP" loudly and repeatedly at another party with kids. This is what happened. While the party with kids were a little rowdy, it was after the birthday cake came out so they were singing and clapping. And all of a sudden, this person stood up and screamed at them to SHUT UP and at the kids to shut the **** up. This was extremely startling, and the staff ended up taking care of it. The staff then came to check up on the tables around to make sure we were ok as well. This is by far the most disorganized restaurant we've ever been to, and we eat out frequently. Our server didn't speak English and couldn't answer basic questions about the menu - and neither could any of the other servers. When we asked if the cheesecake was pistachio, he just looked at it and said, "it looks like it." My sukiyaki broth was awful - bland and completely unappetizing - while everyone else at the table seemed to enjoy theirs. However, the medium spicy broth kept getting hotter the longer it simmered, which would've been helpful to know beforehand. Even my brother, who loves spicy food, was sweating and coughing. The service was painfully slow - we couldn't even get a soda - and they forgot about half of what we ordered. And that's not an exaggeration. We had to remind them multiple times about missing items, and even then, some things never showed up. The entire experience felt chaotic, like no one really knew what they were doing. It seemed like there was zero communication between the staff, and no one took responsibility for anything. The prices are outrageous on top of it and Del taco had better service. While i appreciate Yono took the time to reply to my original review, it still doesn't change my opinion. Bottom line is, you charge a premium for a membership advertising specific benefits. Even though your business model changed and value of your meals changed, you should at least offer existing members who paid double the price of the new membership similar value of the original benefits, not forcing premium members to downgrade to your economy membership. At time of writing, one of the newest upscale hotpot places, and in OC too! A lot to unpack: Ambience - Dimly lit rooms with absolutely beautiful decor. If you wanted xPot experience in OC, this is the place to go. Decorations seemed very Asian themed, and the noise level wasn't too loud so it is definitely good for conversations. Booths and seating were spaced out so it's good for privacy! Service - By far, the servers and staff were very responsive and accommodating to our party. They were very nice and made sure they were always available to take our next order. Food - A la carte, so it's definitely pricey. The wagyu and meat cuts were very lean so you won't have that fatty flavor if you're into it. Nothing too out of the ordinary for meat cuts. The presentation was very nice, however, and pretty much top of the line with other high end hotpot food presentations! I came here for my birthday dinner. The place was 3/4 empty and they told us to wait 30 minutes for a table. They sat us in a party room full of noisy kids. We asked twice politely to be moved to a more quiet table only to be denied. The noisy kids made more and more noise and the parents were oblivious to the situation. An hour into our dinner, the noise from the screaming kids was so unbearable that I had no choice but to raise my voice to tell the parents to discipline their children. The manager came and put his hands on my shoulder and I warned him not to put his hands on me as I'm sure he is being video taped by the surveillance cameras. We were visiting for a few days and stopped here for dinner after a long day. The atmosphere and decor are really nice and worth a visit. The best thing was the wagyu and the ambiance. The service is very good. For first timers here we were a bit lost but they eventually showed us the sauces bar and that took the broth up a notch. They also had some fruit and kimchi. We had the chicken base which was very "chickeny" as expected, I almost wish I would have tried the beef bone broth instead. However with a sauce I liked it even more. The meats were delicious. I wish they had some recipes for possible sauce combinations though. I appreciated that they had a kimchi with no shrimp (though I had to ask for it). Only thing, it would be nice if menu had any allergy warnings on the different broth choices as well as the sauces. Our waiter was very kind and helpful as well as the rest of the staff. I'm always on the hunt for good hot pot. This place hits all the spots of a good hot pot restaurant-- soup is flavorful, meat is marbled and easy to eat, sauces are absolutely a hit. Everything had balanced. The sesame sauce is creamy, smooth and you can taste the peanut. Usually at other restaurants, it comes out grainy and hard to swallow. The sukiyaki broth was well developed with flavor and the flavor cooks super well with the meats. Let me also tell you about the shrimp, it was meaty and soft. There was a female server that was extremely attentive making sure if we needed refills on broth, waters filled, and even noticed that we didn't really drink too much of the milk tea and asked for feedback or to make sure if we liked it. They're also extremely fast and bring out broth and meats and veggies. This place serves excellent quality hot pot and service and it's truly a gem to see a place that has excellent ambiance! The restaurant has continued to decline more and more since I originally purchased the membership at the grand opening, with continuous price increases, menu item removals, reductions in member benefits and now complete removal of the AYCE menus that have been the foundation of the restaurant for as long as it has been open in favor of only offering set menus and a la carte. We went tonight with a group of 8. We got seated right away, but no one came to assist us for 20 min. We had to flag someone down to come and help us. The first waitress seemed really flustered and was not very pleasant, but then the other guy servers came in and were a lot more efficient. The whole ordering from the tablet was super confusing and you have to wait quite a bit of time in order to place your orders. I did not like that part at all. If we are paying these prices, we should be getting the service through the wait staff taking our orders. But once the food came out, it was really good! We enjoyed the soup broths and the meat quality was excellent. Towards the end the service got better. The managers were really nice and came to check up on us a few times. This restaurant used to be good, but it recently switched from AYCE ($35/person) to a la carte, in which a one person meal costs $38. We were told the one person meal would be enough food for 2 people but it was definitely not, and the quality wasn't anything special. You might as well go to a different AYCE hotpot restaurant, since the prices will be the same or cheaper, but at least you can eat as much as you want. For reference, DaDa Shabu Shabu costs only $33 and you can eat as much meat and seafood as you want. The portions at Prime Hot Pot were very small for $38. Our "appetizer" was a single piece of shrimp tempura, which was cold, and a single, small scoop of salmon tartar that could barely fill a small spoon. The "plate of seafood"consisted of only 1 shrimp and 2 small pieces of fish. The noodles we received barely filled half of a small plate and we finished it in a couple bites. I understand paying more money if the food is high quality, but Prime Hot Pot's food did not justify the high price at all. They also forgot our dessert and we had to remind them. The menu is also very inconsistent. The first time I went there, it was AYCE for $35 and there was unlimited salmon nigiri available on the menu. The second time I went there, they took the salmon nigiri off the $35 AYCE menu. Now, the third time I went there, they got rid of the AYCE menu completely but are charging more money for much less food. With so many other hotpot places in the area, my family, friends and I recommend going somewhere else. There are plenty of other options in the area where the food is the same quality or better, but for a much more reasonable and consistent price. read more

Everything was just OK. A bit pricey with the most expensive menu being $100+ for barely any difference in the menu. The flavor of soup is not that good and not worth coming to. The service was also OK. We wanted spicy soup and the server kept questioning our decision, which was very off putting. I would prefer Moomoo hotpot because the appetizer and sides are readily available. Other than that the restaurant itself looks nice and clean.
