This place is sooo pretty with a dark futuristic and butterfly garden theme. Not to mention the sauce bar is so unique with top notch service. Everything I order was really good. I'll try to list everything I remember. I started with a bone broth and added dry chilis to make it spicy. I got some appetizers and there is a shrimp dish, tuna tartare, shrimp, tempura, and a bone marrow pot I think but they're all delicious. For the hot pot I got the fatty beef and brisket plus a bunch of different vegetables and abalone lol. Everything was really fresh and delicious and I'll definitely come back here with friends next time. I also got two drinks for myself, a plum juice and a watermelon juice to cool down all the heat. I'm eating from the hot pot. Yeah, I'll have a parking lot and it's free parking. To me that is a plus! I hope this helps. Please follow me if you like my vibe. XOXO JJ.
Been eyeing this place for a while now and it worked out because it was right next to the Vuori warehouse sale. This place is beautiful inside it has gorgeous green jade colored plating. Very sophisticated and elevated. Reminds me of X Pot meets Niku X. AYCE premium hot pot for $55 ($50 for membership price//membership is $18 per year I think). We ordered the second tier which included the Wagyu truffle fried rice. Wow that was so good it filled me up! Highly recommend the truffle fried rice and the Wagyu meat was so soft and tender. The rice was so perfectly moist! I tried all the appetizers and my favorite probably was the crispy baby octopus and the juicy octopus bite. They gave a huge sauce bar that tasted really fresh with tons of appetizers and cantaloupe and cuties. We got the short plate which was a more fatty beef, the a5 Wagyu brisket that they limit to 1 per person and pork belly. The pork belly was the most meat but the a5 brisket was the most beautiful marble. I was so full ordering only 4 plates of meat. The soup is so good. I loved the chicken pepper because it had ginger in it. If you want a thicker version then the pork stomach is also a great option. Michael got a hot green tea which is so nice they serve it to you in a pot so it tasted so fresh and I got the orange green tea which wasn't too sweet and tasted very Orange! We also got their dessert cinnamon mochi which was served warm and wasn't too cinnamon-y. They also serve black sesame ice cream too! All in all, great experience and easy to find parking! The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly.
More of a 3.5 stars but the server we had was aming nice so 4 stars more for service. Pros: good for big parties with private rooms, offer individual pots table for up to 6 people vs sharing one pot. Nicely decor inside feel more luxurious, great service the day we went, meat quality. Cons: not a lot of sauce options or appetizers. Cheapest option being $35 bucks not as competitive as other ayce places. Overall the place was just decent, nothing too memorable and for the higher pricing they should offer more appetizers and options at sauce bar.
It was my first time at Prime Hot Pot and it did not disappoint, the premium hot pot restaurant that serves unlimited wagyu beef and lots of seafood options. I had to order all the wagyu I wanted to eat cause I love wagyu! There's multiple tiers at Prime and they all offer unlimited options and a self-serve sauce bar. I had the B Menu which came with a few appetizers, I liked the one bite shrimp and salmon & tuna tartare! Menu B had a limit of one order for the A5 Brisket so of course I ordered it, so fatty and tender! The short plate, chuck short rib, chuck roll, and round flat were pretty good too. I also tried the seafood platter, abalone, and fresh oysters! The abalone and fresh oysters were my favorite. Prime Hot Pot is definitely a gem in Tustin for AYCE wagyu hot pot, the interior is beautiful decorated and gives off an upscale vibe and ambiance. The service was great, the servers kept checking up on my party. Can't wait for my next visit!
This place opened up close to my house so I decided to check it out on a rainy day. Immediately upon walking in, I was greeted by a host and amazing decor. There was no wait which was nice and got seated at a booth. We ordered from Menu A and only got brisket and chuck roll. The brisket was VERY flavorful. I got mild house spicy broth and it was the perfect amount of spicy to still be enjoyable. However it was definitely spicy so be cautious of that. Overall, the place is reasonably priced and it's amazing that they have tuna tartare and baby octopus appetizers included in menu A for only $35!! Only thing that was slightly off putting was the service but we will be back!
Great hotpot place to try if you are ever in Tustin. It was our first time trying this place out since moving to Irvine and decided to give this place a try. Upon arrival we were greeted with friendly staff that sat us right away. When you get to your table it feels so spacious that it was easy to get comfortable while you eat your meal. The waitress that we had that night was great she went through the menu pretty efficient and answered all our questions . Made it easy to choose the what we wanted . There is a sauce bar where you can go and create your dipping sauces for your meats. I love how there's so many art that it was just a aww moment when you saw it. I highly recommend you try this place out if you ever are in the mood for hot pot or if it's your first time trying it. Thanks prime hotpot for excellent service and amazing food . Walked in (without reservations) with my family. Huge place. Plenty of seating. Super nice lady and great service My kids ate free. No charge. Yay! The service was great. Lots of water next to you (in the push cart) and lots of napkins also (in the push cart at the bottom right drawer). $35 for cheapest lunch menu per person. It's all you can eat. It's so good. There are only 5 diff meats but the meats were good. The noodles were good. The rice was good. Omg I also ordered salmon sushi just to try out. So funny but their salmon sushi was fresher and more delicious than an actual sushi place! Couldn't believe how good it was. I got fish filet also. My kids love fish filet so it's always a must order for me. I got the bone broth. And also got the chicken with pork bone broth. Both of these are not spicy and awesome tasting. For meats - they'll give you a sampler plate if you ask. Which is when they'll give you 5 diff meats on one plate just to try a bit of everything. I did this to try all the meats. Towards the end, I recommend only getting the chuck roll and the beef plate. Both of these are amazing. Skip the brisket because you can get that meat anywhere. But the chuck roll hands down had the most marbling so it was nice and fatty haha. You walk up to grab / make your own sauces. They don't charge extra for making your own sauces like other hot pot places. Forgot to mention. At the very end, they give your kids free ice cream. At least they gave my kids some free ice cream lol. Vanilla or strawberry flavored. 100% milk and has a spoon inside. Loved it! I'll be back! To be honest, I prefer this place over Haidi Lao. Can't believe I'm saying that but this place is more delicious.
We had to try this place since this was a fairly new place at the Tustin District. Overall, the experience was okay. The whole experience was slightly confusing though. However, the waiter helped to answer all our questions. We opted for the B menu, which does include A5 wagyu. The quality was definitely there and all the meats tasted great, but to be totally honest, you really can't tell the difference with the american wagyu and the japanese A5 one. The service was pretty good as our waiter came around quite often, but the food was just super backed up. We waited so long for the meats to come out that we really got full as we waited and let the food sit in our stomachs. The ambience was nice and beautiful, nothing to complain about. I wish more hot pot places would adopt this kind of ambience. We'll probably be back, but will 100% stick with the cheapest option at $35 per person.
Our new goto for AYCE hot pot at Tustin District. It's definitely an experience and not cheap, but their items are high quality and they have a decent selection for what you choose. We have been here three times since Prime Hot Pot has opened. All of our visits times have been exceptional. The staff is extra friendly and helpful. The restaurant is very clean with plenty of seating. We recently joined their membership for $18 a year which gives us some member perks and discounts as well as a free birthday meal. We really enjoy their soups, brisket, fish filet, and fresh veggies. They have a great sauce bar too. Their ponzu is delicious and very addictive! Only complaint we have is that the food can take some time to arrive. We have to wait awhile for our rice and soup at one point..so be sure to order a lot of items ahead or eat some of the hot foods they have available at the sauce bar. Also, the cut of the meat is sometimes inconsistent. There are times when they melt in your mouth and other times where they're a bit chewy but still good. Nonetheless, a great addition to The District. We'll definitely be back again very soon!
We went for dinner Friday night and loved the experience. There is plenty of parking right next to the restaurant. The bright sign makes it easy to find. Inside the restaurant is one of the most beautiful hot pot restaurants you will ever see. Service here is friendly and efficient. They had great recommendations for us. We went with the B menu offering. We got the beef bone broth, which was so flavorful. They have a tablet to order from, which made it super efficient to deliver food and drinks. They have an extensive sauce bar with some helpful recipes if you don't know what to make. And by the time we got back to our table with our sauces, the appetizers and meats began to arrive. We got the salmon and caviar sushi which was very fresh and delicious. We also got the one bite shrimp and the hot stone wagyu rice. We ordered seconds on all of these. We also ordered the seafood platter and the vegetable platter for our hot pot. The shrimp, mussels, oysters, cuttlefish and fish were all fresh and delicious. The mushrooms, cabbage and pumpkin were all favorites. The marbling on the best was fantastic. Every piece melted in our mouths. We had ube ice cream and black sesame ice cream. Both were very good. The brown sugar mochi was our favorite of all the desserts and ordered a second helping. All in all it was a wonderful experience. We loved the ambiance, the service and of course all of the food. We cannot wait to come back!
*This post is only for business management and not regarding food* I got pretty excited about trying this new spot since I saw this ad on instagram about it being BOGO deal. However, when I called them they had said the BOGO deal is ONLY for people who are MEMBERS. I have never even heard of a $39.99 membership for a hotpot place before. I get it if it's a gym membership but this is quite interesting. It is honestly false advertisement on their IG post. It would have been nicer if they explained it without hiding shady information. Do better with adding more fine print. Just giving yall all a heads up. Stay safe yall.
My husband and I both got the membership two weeks ago and has been back twice for the October member BOGO promotion! It's such a great deal for such high quality A5 and American Wagyu. There are also many appetizers and sides to change things up. I love their Wagyu Truffle Stone Pot rice. It is so good when they let it crisp up in the hot stone pot! I know some people wonder if it's worth getting membership but for us we already got our money's worth with this promo that ends on 10/31. Hoping they will run more in the near future. Also shout out to the awesome staff! Everyone is so friendly and attentive. I already feel like they know us from our last several visits!
Ivan is one of those host that makes you want to come back to this restaurant. His hospitality, his energy, and his love for his customers are what makes him a genuinely good person that made my dining experience here fun and memorable. As for the food, we ordered the classic set and the food was top notch. I have been to many AYCE shabu places and this place by far has one of the best quality in meats. The sushi and seafood were fresh and the presentation was surprisingly "fancy" (which is a good thing) at an AYCE. As for the service, I was definitely impressed. I don't expect much from these types of restaurants, but all the servers were willing to either help with the menu and or place our order. They actually looked like they wanted to work there and wanted to help the customers. The only one negative is that a lot of the servers were new so they did not know what meat was being brought out. This did not negatively impact their score since I know that they just opened and it will take a little bit of time for everyone to get caught up to speed on the food.

I like the idea of membership hotpot. If you eat here at least 3-4 times a year, then the membership is worth it. They're AYCE. The set that has A5 wagyu is about $100 per person. I had the $70 per person set which has American wagyu. The seafood platter filled me up quickly actually. I very much prefer the meat. Its marbling is very good. Quality-wise, it's better than most AYCE place (for the price, it has to). And I think it will cost about the same to eat at this quality at an a la carte place too. The vibe feels very luxury. Friendly staff. Sauces, fruits and rice are in the self-service bar. read more

We had to wait 30 minutes after being seated to give our order and then another 15 minutes (45 total) to even get our soup base. Then our lamb slices were brown and spoiled. Then they forgot most of our order and brought us items from someone else's order. This is very disappointing. We have come here about 8 times and this is the worst experience. This is a great place to go when you're super hungry. Once you order, the plates come by very fast. The service is awesome as plates are taken away once you are done. Note that we went on a random weekday during the summer. It might get busy when the weather is cooler. It's located right off the parking lot. They offer an array of options for sauce. In my opinion, that what makes or breaks a good hot pot sesh. Anyway, I recommend this place for an after work small group dinner so you can cook yo own food fo yoself. The membership is justifiable to come here. The meat quality is great but there's a ton of improvements that the business can do. Improvements as: *fix the hvac where the evaporation does not drip from the ceiling on to customers and the food. This immediately happened before we even ordered. Not a great start to eating here for a first time experience. Don't have gross stuff drip down on people and the food. *sauce bar needs to be organized much better and have more options available *dual soup pots would be better. Haidilao is good for the multiple soups you can eat. *the menu needs better explanation. *add more vegetables options and have the veggies that are mentioned on the menu. Their "Vegetable, mushroom platter, sides" section says mushrooms, but they do not have mushrooms. Why advertise mushrooms when that's not an option?!? Overall you come here for the membership deal, meat quality, and lobster. read more

The food here is amazing!! This place is hands down one of the best hot pot spots I've ever been to! The ingredients were unbelievably fresh -- you can literally taste the quality in every bite. I'm 100% more of a hot pot fan vs. a shabu shabu fan and seeing this business (super close to my home...which could be dangerous for my diet) open up with now an AYCE menu got me super excited! From the moment you step through the doors, PRIME HOT POT welcomes you with a modern/nightclub ambiance...very similar to Xpot in Las Vegas. The decor is a blend of contemporary elegance and traditional Asian influences, featuring sleek lines, rich textures, and ambient lighting. Its highlighted by elegant lighting and chic accents, sets the perfect stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The grand opening was abuzz with excitement, and the menu did not disappoint. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the premium AYCE A5 Wagyu selections. My party and I were greeted with open arms and tons of smiles. The food was brought out in a timely manner, which helped us take advantage of the time limit that was given to us! I got their mushroom broth and devoured the Australian Lamb, which is my favorite! Our waitress always came around whenever we needed refills and always made sure our empty plates were removed! A hidden gem at The District! The $25 lunch combo was so worth it, especially with it being available on a Saturday! It included a soup base, a choice of 2 meats, a flounder fish filet, a vegetable platter, and a choice of rice or noodles. Our wonderful server also surprised us with ice cream at the end :) I especially loved how the decor of this restaurant gave such an upscale vibe -- it's perfect for groups and special occasions! read more

A new "fancier" hotpot place that just opened at the District (still soft opening). Dimmed light, comfy booth, and a menu featuring A5 Wagyu, I knew that this is different from the typical all you can eat places. We tried the Wagyu menu with a Wagyu chunk roll/ribeye cap/and brisket for meat in the hotpot, along with a box of small bites - Wagyu sushi, sashimi, and grilled tongue. The quality of the meat was great, but I was a bit disappointed of the flavor of the hot pot broth (tried both the original bone broth and the spicy one). For $3, you get access to the sauce bar which had a few nice appetizers- black fungus, cucumber salad, and kimchi. Service staff is friendly, but aren't knowledgeable yet about the menu since they are all new. They don't have a drink menu printed, but you can see the options on the iPad. The house wine for $12 was actually pretty good and they gave a generous pour! read more

Came in with a big group of friends for hot pot, I love hot pot it's one of my favorite meals to share with friends! The service was amazing, and the waiters were very kind and attentive! I love the different cuts of meat that they have available, and the wagyu is MELT IN YOUR MOUTH!!! They have many different flavors for the soup broth, but my personal favorite is the medium spicy broth, and the chicken broth that they have! A MUST TRY NEW SPOT IN ORANGE COUNTY!!! Presentation wise this place is beautiful! The way our food was plated was soo pretty and the decor is to die for. However, I do not think I'd be coming back as it was an extreme let down. I feel like music adds to the experience of a restaurant, tell me why it was dead silent? Also, my friend and I came for their BOGO deal, but were shocked to find out that it was for "members only" which is an additional like $30. It came to a shock as we called ahead and asked about the deal and if it had certain hours and they said it applies all day, never mentioning it was for members only. The service was a let down, asked for water upon being sat and ordering, server never came back with it. Went through half of our meal without water as I asked another server and he forgot about it. Their 100 minute limit is how they get you as food takes a while to come out. Came in with extremely high hopes and were sadly let down. read more

We got there saturday around 6 before the big rush for dinner started, everything was delivered super fast at the beginning, then the second order took a while to arrive. I wasnt crazy about the food but my niece liked it, too bad we had a visitor in our veggies, i couldn't eat after that, and they barely apologized about it. We did the 35 usd course, i would have been very upset of doing anything more expensive and receiving this. If they want to be a high-end restaurant they have a lot to learn still read more

We couldn't pass up Prime Hotpot's BOGO deal, so we had to check it out! We went with the intro set, which came with a nice mix of appetizers, meats, seafood, and veggies. No extra charge for the soup base or the sauce bar, which was a win! The staff were super attentive and checked in on us a few times. We did end up with way more meat than expected--our first plates had around six slices, but later ones were stacked, one even had almost 20! The brown sugar mochi was out, which was a bit disappointing, but the fried buns totally made up for it. Definitely worth a try if you're into AYCE Chinese hotpot, though it's a bit on the pricier side compared to other spots in the area! read more

Came here for their Soft Opening on Feb 8th, and has been back multiple times since. Beside the pricy dishes, everything else is just perfect, however their Wagyu is worth the price. The meats are very tasty and fresh. Comes in huge pieces as well. The menu might be a bit confusing at first, so here are some insights. Wagyu Box: It comes in 2 persons or 4 persons set It it presented in a wooden box with dry ice smoke effect. It has (1) A5 Wagyu Ribeye - Sashimi style (2) Filet Mignonette - Sushi style (3) Beef tongue and short rib - Stone grill style (4) Wagyu with Caviar - served raw It also comes with an assortment of Chef's Selection beef platter with A5 Wagyu Chuck Roll, A5 Wagyu Ribeye Cap and Australia Wagyu Brisket Highly recommend dishes: 1. Wagyu beef tongue 2. A5 Wagyu ribeye - a bit on the fatty side, but a bite or two is perfect 3. Wasabi Crispy Shrimp 4. Torched Wagyu nigiri with uni - super delicious 5. Chiba tofu 6. King crab 7. This was an amazing hot pot experience. The staff was extremely welcoming and professional. The service was the most thorough yet unobtrusive I've had in quite some time! My husband had never had hotpot before and I had only had it once several years ago so we needed a little extra hand-holding. :) The food itself was amazing--portions were generous (a great value) and every single dish was so tasty! My husband had the wagyu bone broth and I had spicy sezhuan for my base and both were great. The space was also very well-designed and made for a dining experience that felt quite high-end. I am excited to hopefully bring friends along with us next time and highly recommend Prime Hot Pot! read more

I had a pretty polarizing experience when I came here so I'll be as clear cut as I can. Restaurant Ambiance -- Beautiful, everything is really well decorated and the interior design is spot on. HOWEVER --- As soon as we sat down.. Water started dripping on us from the HVAC system above... This cannot be sustainable -- the thought of HVAC water dripping onto me, or my food or into my hotpot is unacceptable. Service -- Everyone was very kind and accommodating. But towards the end of the night I started wondering when they were going to clear some of the dishes from my table. Maybe it was because it was close to closing time so the staff started throwing it in. Sauce Bar -- This was disappointing. I can't help but draw comparisons to Hai Di Lao or xPot Wagyu -- this sauce bar is LACKING... Truly barebones in offering. I think the designer of this restaurant went for Aesthetic over functionality on this sauce bar.... I also asked myself "If this restaurant was at full capacity, this sauce bar would be a disaster." ****Food**** Broths -- Not a lot of options here -- Different level spicys of the Szechuan, Plain Bone Broth, and then Tomato. ALSO -- Most of the restaurant is setup for Individual pots -- so if you come as a group and want to try different broths, you need to tell them to sit you at a different table! This was not specified to us when we came in so each of us had to choose our own broth and stick with it for the entire meal. Meat Quality & Seafood Quality --- A+ ---My wife and I took advantage of the "BoGo" deal when you sign up for a membership -- which means you pay for a membership $39 for the year, and then you can select an menu tier which results in a BoGo deal on it. We chose the Tier that was 99.99 -- so both of us could select from that menu, which included SOME A5 Wagyu cuts with limitations and a lobster for each of us. Lobster came out BEAUTIFULLY arranged Vegetables -- The vegetable offerings are DISMAL -- No Mushrooms, No bamboo, Baby Cabbage was "out" -- pretty much just Napa, Silken Tofu, and Wintermelon. Seriously need to step it up in this area. This was SO disappointing. Others -- Fishballs, Meatballs, Tripe, Etc Etc --- Non existent --- Not offered Not on Menu. Conclusion: Value --- Because of the BoGo Deal w/ Membership my wife and I overall were happy with our dinner. Would we come back and pay full price or Membership price on a regular evening -- No we would not... I cannot get past the bad sauce bar and lack of vegetables. Would we come back if there was similar deals to the bogo or something equally as compelling -- Yes most likely. I think Prime Hotpot has a lot to iron out in how they operate and what they want to be. If you follow their Instagram, you can see just a few weeks ago they only wanted to offer AYCE during certain hours... Now they identify as AYCE all the time? And their membership offerings are confusing and convoluted. Hope this place figures themselves out so I can save myself the trip to xPot in LA. i'm a Huge fan of XPots Membership offerings and menu variety. read more

It makes no sense so it's a bit difficult to explain, but essentially they send you promotions/deals via text when you sign up to be a member. I think we got buy one get one free per person (it's priced per head) just to sign up.
