I started using Prime Laser in 2016 and purchased multiple laser treatment packages over the years and initially had good results. After taking a break between 2021 and 2024, I resumed treatment this year (I used to visit their Katy location, but after moving, I switched to the Sugar Land location for convenience). This year, I've had four laser sessions, each spaced a month apart, but I've seen no hair shedding or improvement. During my third session, I asked the technician to increase the intensity, and she set it to 20 j/cm2. Despite this, I experienced no shedding at all. So, for my fourth session, I again requested a higher intensity. The technician moved me to a different room, explaining that each machine has a specific intensity setting. When I asked her to go beyond 20 j/cms, she said she needed the manager's approval. The manager informed me that 20 j/cms was the highest setting they would use on my skin type (am black with caramel skin color) despite my explaining that this level wasn't working and I had no shedding at all. She insisted that it simply means I would need to buy more sessions to see results. This left me frustrated, because I am not a novice to laser hair removal and I used to have good results, but now I felt like I was being told to keep shaving and returning monthly for ineffective treatments without any noticeable progress. When I checked other reviews, I saw many similar complaints, indicating a shift in the business's priorities. It seems they're more focused on pushing customers to buy more sessions rather than achieving results. I am writing this review exactly 2-weeks post my last session, my hair is growing back and not a single hair has shed. Their # on google is for their Galleria location, I've been hung up on multiple times when trying to call them, & saw minimal-no change after the unlimited year Groupon (and I have light/white skin and dark/black hair). The ladies in the office are polite BUT it being almost impossible to call them/ schedule appts is ridiculous. Just left my last appt and the tech actually drew a box of where the laser would be done & needless to say, it was the first time and covered more area than what the previous techs had done. The tech also confirmed that there was no change to my bikini line after. a. whole. year. AND which I paid an EXTRA $100 to cover. Also, god forbid you're not a housewife here in SL and run on a tight schedule, if you miss a weekend appt and need to reschedule, you'll have to wait even more WEEKS. After purchasing a Groupon for Prime Laser, I was slightly hesitant to come after my previous encounter at another laser center. Initially, I saw great results...until the hair came back. I came to Prime Laser to get my legs lasered. The ambiance is great here. The place is clean and the rooms and beds you lay on are spotless. The workers here are great and make it a point to make you feel as comfortable as they can. The lasers give you a slight sting (that'll be true anywhere you go) but was well worth it because - year after my treatment - there's barely any hair on my legs! I'm near the end of all my 6 sessions. One more session to go. Still the same friendly staff each time I go. Still rotating new techs; every other appointment I have I see new faces. I've had Dovanna these past two times and she has been very thorough. But I have only seen about 35%-40% hair reduction. The only thing they tell you when you don't see the results you expected is, "you need more sessions". Now the good thing is, unlike other laser hair locations, they allow you to buy additional groupons so you do end up saving money in that aspect. They also offer the full body for $999 which is comparable to most laser hair places. I have used other places in the past including American Laser Center and Bellalaser, but this has got to be the least hair reduction I have seen. I'm fair with dark brown hair, making me the "ideal candidate" for almost any laser used but the machines here just did not do it for me. Each person reacts differently to each type of laser machine and just speaking from my experience, it just did not work as well. Sort of felt like I threw away my money. Will I return? Only two days away from the six weeks mark of the eight treatments, per management computer and company policy won't be able to arrange the last treatment, which is two days away from a year mark. What a disappointment of service. Be aware. No matter what, the store won't yield. Better make your appointment on time, don't cancel it. Otherwise you won't get the complete services. I have always thought about getting laser hair removal but never took the plunge until I had my son. Waxing/shaving is literally the last thing on your mind as a first time mom. So, a year after he was born, I searched for deals on Groupon and found a really great one for Prime Laser Center in Sugar Land. After my purchase, I scheduled a consultation (I already knew I was a candidate so this is why I purchased my package before I had a consultation) with Saima to discuss the process as well and do's and don't's before each treatment. Now, they do sell their own packages which I highly recommend. My Groupon package came with 1 full year, or 6 treatments every 6 weeks but it isn't insured meaning if I wanted to do a touch-up, I would have to repurchase a package for that area. If you buy from Prime Laser Center, you'd only pay 10% of the initial cost for that particular area. I ended up purchasing the full body midway into getting treatments from my Groupon deal. I'm 4 treatments in and the results are amazing. Your hair starts falling out after after the 2nd week of each treatment. My hair is thinning out, some areas have no growth at all, and I'm sure after my sessions are done, it will be completely bare. They're very punctual about confirming your appointments;I always get a call a few days before I come in. If you can't make a session, they are accommodating with rescheduling your appointment as well. Should you decide to purchase either from Groupon or through Prime Laser Center, ask for Mayra! She's been my technician for my 2-4th treatments and I ask for her every time I schedule my next appointment. She's very sweet, always asks how I'm feeling, and if I need a breather while I'm getting zapped. I had my first appointment and the tech didn't ask what setting I was on before or how many treatments. She told me I only had 15 minutes and she wasn't very friendly or informative. No explanation of the technology or bed side manner. I felt rushed. The ND yag that was used was old and dirty looking. I asked about the condition of it and she started to laugh. I actually found Prime Laser Center on Groupon. I do understand the basics of hair growth and that laser is often more successful for some more than others. That is why I scheduled a consultation so that I could get a "professional" opinion. During my consolation, the LVN told me she thought I'd have an optimal hair removal experience with laser. She also talked me into purchasing a package directly from them so that my services would be covered under a "lifetime warranty." The entire process was a complete joke. I do have medium-toned skin and dark blonde/light brown hair, but I never even saw any hair reduction. I never had an appointment with the same technician, twice. When I questioned each of them about it, they said, "Sometimes it takes a little longer." or "Sometimes it takes up to 10 sessions." Never once did they tell me that I would NEVER see any results. Finally, on my last appointment, I asked to speak with the manager. She and I went into a treatment room and I expressed my concerns. When I showed her the treatment areas, she responded with "Oh, it doesn't look like it's going to work at all and I don't recommend that you move forward with any more treatments." WHAT???? That last appointment was about four months ago and I left there in tears, before receiving my final microderm session (that I also purchased from them).....and I have yet to hear from them! I have had three sessions here so far and I am seeing significant results. I bought a Groupon for the full face for 8 sessions. The facility is very nice and the rooms where they do the laser is always kept very clean. The staff is nice and scheduling an appointment is very easy since you can book weeks in advance. The laser itself is a lot less painful than waxing or threading. Update: if you express your concerns with your hair still growing they will raise the strength of the laser, it does hurt a bit more than what you usually get but I say it's worth it. I noticed after the 4th or 5th treatment I was still getting quite a bit hair growth on my jawline/sideburns and the tech increased the intensity of the laser and now my hair growth reduced significantly. I do still get hair growth but it is after 5 or 6 weeks of the treatment. I always had a lot of hair on my face due to my ethnicity and genetics so I knew 8 sessions was not going to suffice. Luckily, they were offering a deal for full body for $800 (original price is $1,300). I bought it because if it's anywhere on my body I want to be hair free it's my face! Also, now my entire body can be hair free! Plus buying a package with them gives your the lifetime warranty so you can come in for touch ups on specific areas anytime after your initial treatments are done! read more

Horrifying experience. At my tenth session, the laser tech Adrianna, inflicted over 10 second and third degree BURNS all over my body, including my face, arms, thighs, legs, and feet. The largest one is over 3 inches long will leave a major scar. This happened over a month ago and is still unresolved. Prime laser has the absolute worst staff and service I could imagine. Not only did they inflict severe burns all over my body, but the way they handled it shows how unethical and awful this company is. I don't live in town- I come from 3 hours away and have been to this location 10 times over the past 1.5 years. They first denied burning me, though there was proof all over my body, in the shape of the exact laser they use. I have over 50 pictures and a doctor's visit for documented evidence. They wanted me to have a video call showing my entire nude body to a male uncredited "doctor". I was obviously not okay with this. I spoke to this male doctor over the phone and his unprofessionalism and manic mannerisms made me extremely uncomfortable. I visited my own doctor since I had very severe burns all over my body. The staff and service of Prime is horrifying. Miranda, the manager from sugar land location, has lied several times regarding my refund. I have multiple pending sessions left that obviously I won't go to since I've been severely burned, and still have yet to receive any refund. It's been over a month. The galleria manager is Samira- a very unprofessional and scary person. I'll get into why in more detail below. They're all running an unethical business and it's been scary finding this out. I was told to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and when I did, I found several complaints against this business there. Clearly, bad service and behavior is normal for them. They lie, over and over again. The "manager" at the sugar land location, Miranda, is dishonest and completely unethical. When I first purchased a series of sessions for full body laser hair removal, I was very clear that I would need Friday & Saturday appointments only since I would be coming from 3 hrs away. "Sure, we always have availability" she told me and immediately ran my credit card. However, there would always be issues scheduling me (started April 2019, a year before pandemic issues). The laser techs would always be in a rush on Fridays or just complain about working if it was a Saturday appointment- very uneasy when you're whole body is being lasered. Samira did my laser at the sugar land location one time- she was drunk and kept suggesting me to "drink lots of wine" next time to avoid laser pain. I told her I don't drink, but she persisted on how great wine was. I was very uncomfortable with her drunken behavior and lack of focus. She skipped over multiple parts of my body and was argumentative when I reminded her of the missed spots. I left that session very upset and since no one was at the front when the session was over, I had to wait to speak to someone. It was brushed under the rug. Amongst their unqualified and unprofessional staff, they use what seem to be old and broken machines. The machines shut down or are "fixed" multiple times during a 45 minute session (completely abnormal). After 10 sessions, I've seen minimal, if any, improvement, and will now spend the next 24-36 months trying to heal and recover the scars they've inflicted throughout my body. I should've pressed charges the same day, but I was hoping these people would do the right thing. Only after seeing their awful BBB complaints and online reviews did I learn of their unethical business practices. Unfortunately, this is still unresolved and I am forced to pursue legal assistance. I have the pleasure of visiting prime laser center every 6 weeks as I have unlimited year of laser. I'm halfway there at 6 months. The technicians are absolutely great! Every technician I've had so far has been knowledgeable, precise and accommodating. In the past 6 months-- two of my appointments either got cancelled or moved around and I wasn't notified of it. Typically, I do get call reminders to confirm my appointment- but none when I am moved around. There have been times I felt less of a customer since I purchased my package on Groupon. One instance, I finished my session and booked my next appointment for 4 weeks later. 4 weeks later, on the day of my appointment, turns out my appointment was canceled; I was not notified.... Come to find out, they cannot accommodate my laser session to 4 weeks because I had a Groupon package (even though I purchased my package in office, with the sales manager *Groupon rate indeed*) My appointment was moved to two weeks later, and they were not willing to accommodate to me. Apparently it was the fault of the technician and I was fed some story about how the computer doesn't allow it- when I was clearly in the system and they moved me. I understand the rules of procedures-- so I'm not upset that I was moved. I just expected better customer service and communication at the least. No service recovery offered-- lost opportunity for Prime Laser Center to enhance customer service. I purchased a deal with 4 areas of unlimited hair removal for a year. My remaining body part hair removal was contingent on the level of service I received from Prime Laser. No word on whether I'll return for my remaining body parts. Will have to update once I have completed one year. No complaints as far as the technicians and the service provided. My hair is definitely a lot less and it is definitely working. I was hired for the Katy location. Worked for Fariba. First noticed I barely got any training, shadowed and just watched was not taught. Half of the equipment does NOT work properly, always understocked linens, glove, product for Microdermabrasion facial. Did not take the time out to properly train me there. Then after all that i did a skin pen and asked how to dispose the end of the skin pen which has needles and bodily fluid and I asked "where is the sharps container" I was told we just throw it in trash!!! What?? Big OSHA violation. Could also never find charts for our clients they are so disorganized out of order and kept in overfilled in boxes. read more

Hair will grow back every single time after the laser . I truly kept on going just because I had already purchased the year but also I was hoping that with more sessions my hair will stop growing , but not at all . I'm very disappointed. Laser hair removal didn't work on me. I got over 12 treatments and the hair is still there. I am an ideal candidate: black hair and fair skin. No idea why it didn't work. One of the most frustration things was the constantly rotating aestheticians. Its been almost a year since i got my last treatment and the hair is still there. FYI if you are planning on getting the treatment they will say that the touch up treatments after the 6 you pay for will be 90% off. Its not true. Ask what the touch up price will be. So I'm giving a fairly long review because I personally enjoy reviewers who give a detailed outline of their experience. I am so happy with mine, I figured I'd share! Like many others, I found Prime Laser Center through Groupon, but I gave them a call first because I wanted to do a consultation before purchasing anything. They were happy to schedule that consult and advised me that they would honor the Groupon price if I purchased straight through them, which seemed fair. I showed up to the consult and the lady (I'm horrible with names) gave me a quick rundown on their policies and procedures and what to expect; she was nice enough to show me how the laser hair removal process worked on her when I wanted to get a more realistic outlook on how the results would look. She then informed me that she'd be happy to honor the Groupon price, but when I mentioned I was thinking of doing laser hair removal in other areas, she informed me of their $999 special. Essentially, I got to pick four "areas" of my body and I'd get 6 sessions plus their lifetime warranty (which means that if I need more than 6 sessions I'd only pay 10% of the price for the session). I thought the deal honestly seemed too good to be true, but I took a gamble and agreed to do it. After that, she scheduled me to come in and start my sessions the following week. I unfortunately found out the day before my appointment that I wouldn't be able to make it to the session at my scheduled time, so I gave them a call to see if they had any other time slots available--they were nice enough to call some people to see if they'd be willing to switch, and about two hours after I called they called me back to let me know they'd found someone willing to trade appointments with me. I thought that was very nice of them since I know they could have just as easily charged me the $50 no-show fee because I'd be cancelling late. Once I got to the center for my appointment, I was of course nervous about how much it would hurt, but the technician who worked on me (again, I'm horrible at names) was very sweet and quick to address my worries. She advised me that she would work from the least painful areas to the more painful ones so I would get used to it. Thankfully, the pain was much worse in my mind--in fact, I found that the laser actually tickled on my legs, which was a nice surprise! My session took about 50 minutes since I'm doing four areas, which was also fine with me. As of right now, it's been about 10 days since that first session and I am happy to already see some promising results. My lower leg hair has been growing in significantly slower, and just last night the hair in my bikini area started falling off on its own (which I'm taking to mean that those hair follicles are now dead). Overall, I'd say it's about a 20% reduction in growth--which is much more than I expected after only one session. I'll continue to update my review as time progresses, but I know I like to hear a lot of reviews before I commit myself to pay so much to any particular business--especially when the deals seem WAY too good to be true. Go to some other laser place. This place is full of money hungry liars. They will tell any lie to take your money. They also burned my hair on my scalp because she was rushing through my laser. They give you a two hour time slot, I don't get why she had to rush. Anyways, my hair was promised to be gone by the last sesssion but it was not I have hair growing in many places but it is thinner but not that thin, it is also darker. They told me the hair on my face would be gone but it now grows at a faster pace and it is definitely thicker on my cheeks. I would complain about my hair but they would tell me to give it time. Towards the end of my last session they told me I need more session, and it would still cost me something in the 100's. I payed 1,500 for my hair removal and they want me to pay again. Pathetic. ALSO, they always rushed through most of my sessions..they missed a few spots as well and I had to constantly remind some of the girls, even after telling them they would often miss many chunks.
