About a year ago, I moved from Colorado to Mountain View and had to go through the daunting task of finding a courteous, friendly, and professional dental office like the one I had back in Colorado. I visited five dental offices near Mountain View and met with the dentists and their staff. I chose Glen Dental in San Jose because I felt good about the doctor and his entire staff on my first visit. I recently had a fixed implant-supported denture procedure performed by Dr. Bhullar. Before the surgery, Dr. Bhullar took the time and explain all the options, policies, and associated costs. The surgery went very well, and I am recovering well. Recently had a very bad experience with Glen Dental. We started with a FREE consultation with Dr. Bhullar, but end up with paying $299 for a CT. Actually we were ok to pay, if CT could be read by other dental office. The worse things was the CT scan they sent was not able to be read by three other dental office we went to for a second opinion. The technician Terry suggested us requesting a refund, but the manager Barb refused. The most ridiculous thing was Barb gave me an email address Imaging.italysupport@acteongroup.com and asked me to contact software manufactory directly. I really hate going to the dentist. Maybe it is because my child hood dentist enjoyed making me cry and called me a girl, or maybe its because the last dentist I had didnt give me enough novocaine because he wanted to make more money. But Dr. Bocks is really great!!! He is so nice and kind. He makes sure that you are always doing okay while you are in his chair. His staff is also really great and they always remember everything about you, I mean its really amazing. Dr Bocks even asked if I wanted to buy season tickets to the San Jose Sharks with him a few years back. Dr Bhullar, Glen Dental grp, has been my dentist starting in December 2019. I have the utmost regard for his patience, work ethics, and taking the time to thoroughly explain a procedure, or procedures. Dr Bhullar has called me at home to make sure I am doing well after a procedure. I have never had a dentist take time from their family to make sure his patients are alright. There are so many dentists in the valley, and I was overwhelmed with the process. I prayed one day "god lead me to a good dentist" that same week I saw video about the Glen dental group on the internet. Well, I finally received my New 4 on 1 Lower implanted denture and I Love the look and feel of them. I also got a new Upper denture at the same time. The Bite between the two is Absolutely perfect!! Who knew?? I didn't! For the last 20 years, I had ill-fitting dentures and bottom crooked broken teeth. (I'll never take up Boxing again!!) I fell asleep during surgery, so I missed the whole procedure, I woke up and was at home sitting on the couch. The very next day, they screwed in my temporary denture and I was the happiest I've been in 20 some years. WoW!! A full set of nice looking chompers!! I am Very, Very pleased with the Price, the Look, the Fit and the way I love to Laugh again. Dr. Bhullar is one amazing Implant Specialist!! We discussed all my options and I picked plan A. I discovered Glen Dental through a Facebook ad. I had been considering implants for sometime, but was procrastinating taking that step. I started by simply asking a question though FB messenger. Terry, who couldn't have been Nicer, responded and before I knew it, I was in the office discussing options. My consultation with Dr. Bhullar was spectacular. I had many questions and concerns, and He put me at ease with all of them. The whole staff goes above and beyond to make your whole experience as pleasant as possible. Wow, has anyone ever really considered a trip to the Dentist pleasant? I have never had a dentist contact me weeks after a procedure to check on me and see if everything is ok. My whole experience at Glen Dental with Dr. Bhullar and his staff was outstanding. I was coming from another dental office with tooth pain that I was told was nothing after having it looked at multiple times. With my tooth pain getting worse and the hope of being pain free dwindling, I was referred to Dr. Bhullar and felt like I would give it one last shot. He was immediately able to see that I had a bad cavity (done by my last dentist who told me I was fine) and that it needed to be taken care of asap. He fixed up my tooth along with another one and I am pain free! What I really like about Dr. Bhullar is that you can tell he goes the extra mile to make sure that you are comfortable and getting the best care possible. I am not a patient of Dr Bocks but a caregiver and friend to an elderly patient that is 90 years old. My patient has full upper dentures and only had 2-3 teeth on the bottom one which broke. The normal thing I would think to do with a man of very poor and ailling health and old age would have been to just make a new inexpensive dentures. Instead he had him get 2 implants and a new partial. The bill for the implant doctor that is in the same office (hmmmmm) was $5115.00 and Dr Bocks bill was $7750.00. The total bill was over $13,000 for a 90 year old with failing health that he knew. I am not saying he is a bad doctor but BUYER BEWARE! Get a 2nd opinion, my mans family did not. We had to go back at least 6-8 times to get it adjusted correctly. read more

I have been a member of a corporate dental office since I had teeth. I needed a change and asked the colleague of mine with the best teeth where she goes. She recommended Dr. Bocks. I could not have made a better choice for myself and my husband. He is everything you could ever want in a dentist and more. I have now seen him over 3 separate appointments. Here are my favorite things about Dr. Bocks: - COMFORT: He makes you feel not that you're at a dentist appointment, but like you're a dinner guest at his house. Don't get me wrong, he won't be bringing out pate and baked brie, but he will put your mind at ease during the appointment to really take your mind off of the anxiety or fear that you may be experiencing around going to the dentist. How does he do this? By chatting it up about the history of the Santa Clara Valley, or telling you about his amazing-sounding wife, or about how to make great pasta sauce with homegrown tomatoes that'll keep into the winter. I swear I was at an appointment today that whizzed by because he had so many interesting things to tell me-- I really barely noticed the drill. ;) It actually made me want him to stick around after the fillings were in so that I could ask him more questions! He's really an interesting, fun, and entertaining person! - PROFESSIONAL: I'm not talking about the professional that I used to be used to, which is the "we need to do this procedure that you don't really need so I can bill your insurance as much as possible". Dr. Bocks is the kind of professional that really, honestly, and truly cares about YOUR teeth being healthy. He doesn't try to upsell you this or that, he gives you the honest to goodness truth. He explained to me the dire state of my teeth in my first appointment that really got me to get my act together and start flossing. Now, 2 months later, my teeth are the healthiest they've ever been. I couldn't give Dr. Bocks a higher recommendation (or I would). I really, really like him and my teeth are really, really happy. Dr. Bocks put in a bridge (three of my top front teeth) over a decade ago. For those who have had similar surgeries, you know it is far from pleasant or enjoyable. Regardless of the tooth-trauma you've had, or the worries that go hand in hand with such dental injuries and repairs, Dr. Bocks and staff were actually as amazing as the 5-star reviewers have described. I feel that Dr. Bocks is one of the best dentists in the valley. My whole family and I have been seeing Dr. Bocks for many, many years. He and his team have given us nothing but top-notch care the entire time. Even though he's not a preferred provider on our dental plan, my children and I still go to Dr. Bocks because our teeth and oral health are really important to us and it takes one mediocre dentist to compromise our beautiful smiles. A year ago my son had a terrible accident which knocked out front teeth, chipped teeth and had a tooth die. It was quite traumatic but Dr. Bocks meticulously managed his care for almost a year. It was a complicated process and I'm relieved to say my son's teeth came out beautifully. Lastly, the staff at Dr. Bock's office is absolutely wonderful. They are all so competent and nice! They get to know you as a person and make you feel like family. There isn't hardly any turnover with the staff so that says a lot about how happy they are to work there--which comes across to the patients. They're lovely people. read more

I figured it was time to write a yelp review since I recommend Dr. Bocks to all my friends anyway! My husband and I were referred to Dr. Bocks by a friend. Our previous dentist was getting pretty obnoxious about pushing the cosmetic dentistry options that were becoming available then (about 15 years ago) and we got to the point where we felt like we were being asked to pay for the new equipment going into that office and knew it was time for a change. We have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Bocks and his staff. I was particularly pleased after I had children that his staff sees children as well. So many of my friends had incorporated a pediatric dentist into their routine that it was awesome that our family had found a one-stop-shop for the parents (me and my husband) and the kids (our kids). I've always taken pretty good care of me teeth -- okay, it's been hard to convince me to floss and that's something that I've only recently really taken up -- so I'd never had any problems and took my semi-annual trip to the dentist for granted. It's been since taking the kids that I have become really impressed me with Dr. Bocks and his staff. They take it at the child's pace. It took 3 appointments -- so at every six months that was 18 months of appointments -- for my second child to finish his "initial" appointment, but the staff wasn't phased. My older one had to have a cavity filled and Dr. Bocks explained every step of the way and made sure that if anything bothered my child that the issue was addressed immediately. I totally believe that it's because of Dr. Bocks's attitude and the attitude of the dental staff that my children have the healthy attitude towards taking care of their dental health that they have today. I have been coming to Dr. Bocks almost all my life. My parents and entire family are longtime patients of Dr Bocks. My first appointment with Dr. Bocks was when I was two years old. I am almost forty now, so I have a good 38 years of experience here. Each time I come in for my appointments I am greeting with friendly and welcoming staff and hygienists. Dr Bocks is always wonderful, caring and the absolute BEST at what he does. He never requires me to have any work done on my teeth unless I truly need it. He also provides me with options and preventative measures to avoid having specific procedures done. This is the golden reason why I trust him so much. He is open and honest about what I should do and would never perform an unnecessary procedure. At one time in my adulthood I went to a different dentist, not by choice, but because my company at that time did not have Dr Bocks in their "network" of dentist providers. Biggest mistake of my life. I went in to the new dentist at that time, she took X-rays and informed me that I had several minor cavities. I was shocked because 6 months before that I had seen Dr Bocks and he didn't inform me of any issues or potential issues. So, unfortunately, I thought well maybe I may have done something different in my teeth care practices so I have to do this now. Later, my insurance coverage changed again and I was able to go back to Dr Bocks. When I went back he told me that I most likely did not have cavities and definitely did not need those fillings that this other dentist told me I needed to have. I was so upset that I was lied to by this other dentist for the sake of her new business but I was also so relieved that I was back in Dr Bocks care. I will never go to another dentist other than Dr Bocks as long as he is practicing. I dread the day he retires. But I am sure they will have a wonderful, experienced replacement for him with the same business ethics and genuine customer care. read more
