One restroom for all. No diaper station

I love to try local businesses and was excited to see the small town of Bellows Falls has it's own coffee roaster. Located on a corner of the main square, they have a large 'open' flag flying right by the door which on the rainy, windy day we visited kept battering guests as they entered. The front window facing the side street is covered in merch. T-shirts, books by local authors, pottery. This is the area where you line up to place your order. A display case has a variety of pre-made sandwiches, Montreal bagels, some pastry and cold drink options. I would have loved a Montreal Bagel, but their selection all have seeds on them and that's a no-no for me. I was saddened by this. One person was working the counter during our visit. She took one order, filled it, then moved on to the next person. I ordered a 'regular' coffee. They have a light and dark roast option. I chose the more bold, dark option. It is kept in a vacuum pump thermos on the counter and it wasn't hot. There is a small milk and sugar station, plus recycling and trash on the opposite side of the counter. After adding milk, the coffee was cool and had a lot of coffee grounds floating in the cup. I tried to enjoy it but found I was forcing myself to drink it. So I stopped. Several cute wooden tables and wooden chairs are lined up by the window overlooking the square, and on the wall leading to the one bathroom. The bathroom is clean and quite large. It's not a 'cozy' spot to sit and linger but would make a good spot to work and offers a good view of the square outside.

The worst smear of cream cheese in american history

Admittedly tasty montreal bagel with a lovely herbal seasoning, heinous distribution of cream cheese exclusively in the middle of the bagel. Baffling stuff!

Food- 4/5 Overall experience- 5/5…read more It was a fun spot to stop at to break up our drive back to Boston. The lot was small but many people were coming in and out so we didn't have to wait long to get a parking spot or outdoor seating. There are two shops: the deli and market with different vibes and items inside. The market is a quick shop with some snacks, drinks, coffee, and knickknacks. The deli is where the hot/cooked foods are at with some other specialty foods. The food was overall ok, nothing noteworthy. The main attraction is their Mac and cheese that had been circulating my IG feed. Don't think it's life changing but the shops have curated selections of local goods that are reasonable priced to get some last minute treats. Pass on the general tso(?) and the potstickers in my opinion unless you're really craving it. The desserts looked amazing and would definitely get one next time

We were able to get a spot in front with no issue, but I imagine that this was because it was a week day. We chose the Mac and cheese and the maple pulled pork. Both were worth the hype in my opinion. The mac and cheese was super creamy and paired well with the tender pulled pork. The baked goods were nothing to write home about. Maybe we just chose the wrong items? We tried: Oatmeal cookie - good, but not amazing. Chocolate chunk/ peanut butter cookie - stale as heck and basically inedible. I always am leery of saran wrapped cookies that are out on display because its impossible to know if there are actually fresh. The giant stacks of cookies were too enticing to pass up on. The chocolate cookie we purchased was definitely not fresh at all. $3.29 down the tubes - lesson on saran wrapped cookies learned (again). Carrot cake whoopie pie and original whoopie pie - both tasty, but the cake was too thick for my personal liking. We sat in the small outdoor seating area to eat. This was a nice little reprieve from the car ride.

Great sandwich! I…read morestopped by Reel Deal Deli in Charlestown for lunch takeout recently. This cozy sandwich shop serves up a variety of made to order breakfast sandwiches/burritos and lunch sandwiches, cold drinks in the cooler and root veggie crisps. The bagels, muffins, breads and wraps used here are homemade as are the sauces too. When possible, the ingredients are fresh and locally sourced. The prices here are fair. There are a few tables inside the shop and a few tables outside on the wooden patio. I ordered the Hot Reel Deal Beef ($12 plus tax/$13.08) which was made to order in the open kitchen behind the counter. The sandwich I ordered was very good, which had thin sliced grilled roast beef, caramelized onions, melted cheddar, bacon, and spiced mustard on soft homemade focaccia bread, a really nice touch to make a great tasting sandwich.

Well it sounded good but when we got it it was cold, the meat was hardly there, and it was shredded meat like scraps. It was disgusting and the focaccia bread which is homemade was OK but it fell apart. I have proceeded to message them on Facebook to let them know how I felt about our experience and they read it and never responded. It's a good thing they're selling because they need to put somebody in there who really cares about the product they put out

That said, the coffee, food, and service are worth it! There are two seating rooms and one of them opens out to restrooms and a very small shopping/business mall. The tables and chairs are thick, heavy, rustic wood reminiscent of a country kitchen, and the acoustics are pretty good! No echoes or a need to yell to friends or family at your own table. The service is stellar! Lots of students work here and they are top notch. The food is outstanding. Their hash browns are literally the best I have ever had. They are wispy and crispy, and will not leave grease on your plate or in your belly. The eggs are always perfect, no matter how you ask for them, and the pancakes are the best you can get without making them yourself at home. They are served with a syrup, but for $2.00 extra (at the time of this posting), you can get real maple syrup instead. By the way, their coffee is not limited to regular and decaf. There is a delightful coffee drinks menu for options to enjoy at your table or to go! Tucker's also does take out, so you really have not excuse to miss this delightful place.
