Ordered Asada burrito and wow that was SALTY I literally had 2 bites tried the first bite with there red sauce thought might be the sauce then tried without and for sure the asada was very salty. There are probably plenty of good lunch choices here, but a torta isn't one of them. )(I notice that there are no photos of torta on yelp, let's change that...) I'm a fan of tortas for lunch. Usually a big sandwich full of the same kind of meat you might get in a burrito or taco, but on a roll. If you're not a fan of mayonnaise, it's already off your list, but if done right, with good fillings, they're delicious. .... But not here. The $13.50 sandwich comes with a few fresh tomatoes, but little else is fresh. Stale bun that was grilled to an inch of its life became more of a cracker. Not chewy like ciabatta, just hard. Where's the chicken? Only a few small pieces? The chicken was in the other side. It was average chicken, not bad. not poorly cooked. (See photos) I had to ask for onions a second time, and fortunately got them on the side. Jalapenos and onions did their best to save this torta. My friends LOVE the burritos and taquitos here (special request them), but they admitted they had never ordered a torta at this truck. Avocado was good. It comes with a side/handful of tortilla chips from a bag. Not great. No salsa fresca. These sad photos should encourage you to try a different part of their menu. read more

For people who wonder the food truck is, I normally see it on Wilshire Blvd across the street from LACMA. I work at The La Brea Tar Pits & this is one of my favorite food trucks I look forward to seeing after I get off work. The Carne Asada Burrito is delicious & for $10, a great deal. The people are nice & they know me. The service is efficient especially if I'm in a hurry to catch the bus. Downside is on days when I work past 4pm, the food truck is usually gone by then. read more

They serve some DELICIOUS nachos. Perhaps one of the best nachos I've ever had. Mmmmm!!! We got the nacho supreme with beef and holy cow the beef was cooked really well and had alot of flavour to it. The toppings included beans, sour cream, guac, cheese, and tomatos, jalapenos and other... (and of course beef / your choice of meat). Big portions for a decent price. In a good mood so rounding a,2.5 up not down. Rice was only ok. Beans were decent. Guac was good but I hate when the avo chunks are huge. This one almost filled the littlr plastic cup. This food truck gets a solid meh! I only gave 2 stars because the person taking my order and the person preparing the food were both super nice. The food was not good at all to me. I ordered... Chicken Taquitos - nasty Carne Asada Taco - not good Shrimp Taco - super salty and there were a side of chips with the tacos and the chips were stale. Very disappointing. This truck occasionally comes at lunch time outside my work. We get a monthly line-up of what trucks are here daily and I always make sure to mark it on my calendar when Prime Time is scheduled. I have tried their carne asada torta with well seasoned meat, warm toasted bread filled with sour cream, guac, cheese, tomatoes and lettuce. I ordered the beef burrito. The worst I've ever had and pricey too $9.00 I asked them to spice it up and they did not. Very bland poor quality beef, a $4.00 burrito at best. I also ordered there special Fish Quesadilla $10.00 it gave me the runs. A family was sitting with me also did not like the food. Sorry guys you should try harder. One trend I've seen a couple of times is standard lunch trucks sort of upping their game by improving their menu and adding a fancy wrap or paint job. That seems to be the case here. The menu on this truck features standard American and Mexican food. I wonder if they have one of those funny horns that the other old school catering trucks have??? This one actually did a good job of it. While the menu features pretty standard fare, the quality seems to be there. I tried the Texas Burger which is a pastrami burger actually. As an aside, why are pastrami burgers called Texas Burgers? But I digress.... This was a well made burger, good quality, juicy and very meaty! Just what you want in a pastrami burger... but nothing more. Just a good burger. The star here were the fries that came with it. They were of the breaded variety and very crispy. These were rockin' fries. Overall this truck gets a solid 3 stars in my opinion but more importantly, they get my recommendation. If what you want is good simple food, this truck could be considered that great little coffee shop of the food truck world. Hey, somebody's got to fill that roll, and you won't go wrong here. The food its delicious!! Honestly if you haven't tried this food truck then your missing out on some delicious food. The line speaks for itself cause this truck its always packed. The Fiesta Shrimp burrito is my favorite but I've tried other things on there menu and can't go wrong with them.
